  1. That was 2020. They made announcements before covid was a thing we knew about. It wasn't clear they couldn't go ahead until about the time the lineup was ready to be released so they released it anyway in a hope for the best situation. I agree with others in that I think winter won't be great and they won't want to make an announcement if the country has restrictions or there's doubt about it going ahead. So nothing until Feb 2020.
  2. I didn't see "up" in the title and am now even more disappointed in this thread.
  3. The book is currently £10 on Amazon if anyone hasn't got it yet. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Glastonbury-50-Official-Story-Festival/dp/1409183939/

  8. I think a self inflating Matt is the one, mostly because I usually arrive by train and this would be the lightest option.

  10. Hmmm wonder if that national shortage of woodchip they told us about at wilderness played a part?

  13. Have we ruled out Dua in place of Taylor? Appreciate it's not like for like. Billie or qotsa wouldn't do it for me but I'd love an opportunity to get to SE corner early, so not a downside for me.
  14. £280 would be about the average increase recently. My only worry is worthy view seems to not be selling well given how much they're flogging it at every opportunity.
  15. Saturday was noticeably busier then the other days so they sold a lot of day tickets for the bicep/jamiexx line up. If that's not your thing fine, they released the line up far enough in advance and bicep were carry over from 2019. Although a Saturday sunset gig was an interesting timeslot for them I thought they pulled it off pretty well. Mahalia and loyle carner were noticeable for not doing encores, I loved them but the crowd were not into it. Toilet provision was noticeably bad for queues but even on Friday night before Loyle Carner by the main stage they still had loads of toilet roll in them and you could have done a sit down wee if you wanted. They were better then lots of other festivals I've been to, but maybe worse by the standards of this one. I would love to see the risk assessment for the valley, how they've got that agreed I've no idea.
  16. After my first 5 day bender in two years I don't have words right now. Might try again tomorrow.
  17. On the train back from volunteering at wilderness. It was joyous. Covid checks on the way in for customers, almost everyone was fine with this. They were accepting all manner of proof, NHS App Pass, emails, texts, even some people who brought the actual lateral flow kit. Only issue was originally people had to re-check these every time they went back and forth between the car and some got caught out without their phone so were asked to retest on the gate That requirement got dropped by mid-afternoon on the first day. Bar staff were in face masks but that was really the only noticeable measure. Staff got issued wristbands that were scanned at each gate in the site to check you'd had a negative lateral flow in the last 48 hours, stress on Friday having to do that before the music started. Otherwise a lovely experience, great music. Loyle carner and Mahalia were great. Bicep fantastic. Jamie xx set out a slightly different vibe showing what he wants to be booked for in the next 1-2 years. Bloody brilliant time.
  18. It's non existent at family camping.
  19. Sorry for asking but do we keep going until there's one winner per stage or just one overall winner?
  20. Difficult to call. It's all new really but from what I've seen of the set up you shouldn't have an issue. It's not quite the same as other festivals in terms of strictness of security.
  21. Posting from the site now. No issues so far. Maybe different when thousands arrive.
  22. Heading down today for Oxfam volunteering. Basically packed for everything.
  23. Oh boo she was on the list. Ah well, to be expected!
