Yeah mine is wrong too, but I wouldn't make too much out of it. These mails have always been confusing. My assumption is that upgrades and new bought tix are already registered in DICE and the mails go out to those who've had tickets before. Everyone who isn't on Dice yet, will have their tickets transferred in March. Guess that'll clear up the confusion around it.

Finding a new singer and rehearsing all the material with them before the scheduled dates this year sounds quite unlikely. I'm not very optimistic about this. Also, while being a great band in many ways, Isaacs Singing is what tied their sound together for me.

You guys do remember they said the line up is final, no?

From what I've been told, a major issue with touring the EU right now is the fuck up that is Germany. Between total nutcase non-handlings like the UK thats past the peak because of former lack of measures and Spain, that has high immunity due to the very good vaccine-quota, Germany has both starkly rising numbers and a huge number of unvaccinated idiots. Adding a federal structure that is a patchwork of regulations that change every other week, its impossible to plan tours currently for many artists. Even if they are able to, many places request you to be fully vaccinated or recovered plus tested (some demand PCR) [some states exclude boostered from that obligation] and the validity time of a recovery certificate has just been cut in half, so everyone infected in late summer has to get another vaccine before being granted full vaccination status. Long story short: Noone is buying concert tickets right now and shows get canceled. It is unforseeable when this is gonna chance, so everything between now and April is highly insecure. Tours that involved Germany now often would not be able to be profitable without that leg, as the bands would still need accomodation during the time the German shows were scheduled. However, I doubt cancellations now tell us anything about the situation in summer. Omikron has proven to be much more infectious but also less dangerous (for each individual case) which is still a huge threat to health systems where too many people are unvaccinated, but also mean the immunity levels in the population are rapidly increasing

I'm pretty sure this is an actual doom-sludge-metal project that I'll randomly watch at Adidas Stage on WE2 Friday night wasted as an anti-vaxxers immune system

Melt! used to be in July and was always fantastic, the 2015 edition is one of my all time favourite festivals, maybe just topped by one or two PS editions. But they moved it to the Primavera Weekend recently. The only other decent festival in July I have in mind is Dour in Belgium. Never minding the Lollapaloozas in Stockholm and Paris, don't know if they are any good but from how lame the Berlin edition was I wouldn't expect much. Also Roskilde and Werchte often rotate into early July, but thats mostly it.

Can you translate the basic points of the article? And can someone bullet point the RPS stream? 🙂

I don't really expect big news out of this. The other acts have been announced without further ado, think they'll just talk about organization specifics.
-
That was a very rare exemption where the artist wanted the radius clause removed. Might happen again at some time but it won't become common.

When were The Strokes teased? They were never an option due to Primavera

Mad Cools communication is just incredibly awful once again. Why would you go for such an obvious teaser and then not announce the act?

This is massive but still, I find it lacking substance and depth. Why are they teasing acts they don't announce though?

I mean, there needed to be a very strong name to sell a fifth day, so Springsteen doesn't seem too

I do like them and can still admit he's right

I would be suprised if they'd make a leap this huge in Europe. Also, for some reason it is pretty uncommon that US-Tours like that tour in Europe. Generally, Co-Headline Shows are much more of a thing in the US than in Europe.

I hereby launch an uninformed, baseless rumour concerning an Atoms for Peace show at PS22 that will float through this thread indefinitely although its based on nothing than one of its members being in the geographic vicinity of the festival.
-
I really don't know, its just noteworthy that there is a close match in the routing of Alt-J and a missing headliner at several European festivals.
