I think these days if I ever click on this thread I'd probably prefer if you'd all just shared pictures of your flaccid penii.
It would be less toxic and depressing.
I'm not falling for that trick again

Maybe "warm up" is the wrong term. Why would they come back from Europe to play a Wolverhampton date the week of Glastonbury?
They are playing all the glamour cities, Madrid, Paris, Berlin, Wolverhampton, New York

It's funny I never realised until this morning that this song is about the 2023 headliners thread

Can someone please explain what the hell is going on in this thread? I come here for headliner gossip and rumours and it’s just pages and pages of arguing! I can never seem to scroll back far enough to find out what you’re actually arguing about 😂
So a few years ago there was this lad called Somto Raphael Unigwe who was a massive J Cole fan and wanted the world to know it.....

Lana of course isn’t a guarantee but there are now multiple things indicating she could be there.
Everyone - don’t let Florian Saucer Attack dismiss your hopes too much
It's fair to say Lana is more likely than say Frank Sinatra or Beethoven but there are more things to indicate Pulp will be there.
All I am saying is let's not get too excited as we are probably setting ourselves up for disappointment

This is a shame, saw that they'd been announced for a few UK fests and was hoping they'd be there.
Their live show requires a lot of visuals and I do wonder if it just wouldn't work for some stages without it - they'd be a perfect fit for a spot on The Park.
the John Peel stage is better, as it has screens

That reddit poster has not posted any info like this before, as far as we can tell. No one on the discord recognises them, maybe someone here does?
Lana has still not announced any gigs in Europe yet for this Summer
I'm a fan of Lana and would like to see her but if you are also a fan don't let Matt get your hopes up too much

They probably would ( maybe not A Forest which was only a minor hit or Pictures of You , which is my favourite by the way ) so I’d say the average person that night knew at best 7-8 songs that they played . Not a lot really . I thought they were superb that night , but lots of people around my hardly knew any of the songs until the end
If they knew they were going to see the cure at Glastonbury then most people would have put on a playlist in the run up

Tell us the drummer's star sign
or alternatively @Crazyfool01could you post a cryptic message about who the band is, similar in style to the Zodiac killer?

As soon as I can I will but it applies to a band with an obvious gsh but not headliner and one headlining a smaller stage
Why not tell us the genre of the band?

While I’m well aware Jeppo isn’t about to swoop in and claim a Pyramid headline slot lol, also keen to find out if that outburst meant anything @CaledonianGonzo
she is gigging elsewhere over Glastonbury
-
@Crazyfool01did you not say you had some info a while back but could not at that time say what it was?
Are you able to at this time?
If not we should break out the Simpson memes again

It’s a bad idea in the same way that Kendrick and PSB is a bad idea. Two popular acts.
Some clashes suck. That’s just how it goes.
I strongly disagree with that comparison lots of PSB fans are not fans of Kendrick and vice versa.
I specifically asked QOTSA fans about the clash and all but one of them said they would go to EJ and that one person has EJ tickets in April
-
I think my scientific polling on the QOTSA against EJ is conclusive, it is a bad idea to have them play against each other.
As I've said all along if the original plan was to have Swift against QOTSA on the Saturday then it makes more sense to get QOTSA to sub GNR and have one of Lizzo, Sam Smith or Lewis Capaldi against GNR

No hard evidence but came from someone who was spot-on about the heads thus far.
It does make a lot of sense against Elton as much as I'm gutted I'll be missing them if that's the case.
The thing is every QOTSA fan I've encountered has said I'm gutted they are clashing but I will have to see Elton.
So I think it is a bad clash.
Are there any QOTSA fans out there who think it is a no brainer to see them over Elton?

Prodigy are playing the same Parklife slot Bicep played last year before they headlined WH.
I love them but I think people are putting too much stock in them if they're saying other head or bust
and maybe prodigy are cool with playing WH having played the other several times

Ehh I suppose, and tbh I’m already backtracking on my last comment cause it seems like they’re trying to make the OS headliners a bit more diverse these days rather than ‘the dance headliner stage’ it became for a while.
Is there not a chance the Wizkid day is wrong and he’s actually Saturday, and maybe Sam is the odd one out/playing elsewhere on the lineup? Could easily see them third down the Pyramid one day rather than OS headliner.
We've heard wizkid, sam smith and QOTSA are on the other. But if the prodigy is doing a live set and is not on WH's then someone has to be wrong

And that person also said orbital who were ruled out today
I could be wrong but I think that came from a different source.
Had that orbital rumour made it's way over here before?

No mean feat, of course. The only argument to it would be that it's a stadium in front of a dedicated fanbase in a city with a higher demographic of people to whom that genre of music is more popular. That said, to counter that, is that any different than Bad Bunny headlining Coachella? I guess I've just argued my own point.
If it does happen it will be a big moment for Aftobeats, it will get some coverage that is obviously lacking as many us had never heard of Wizkid

Plus, we’ve never actually heard a solid piece of info saying the Prodigy are there.
Stop confusing people Matt lol.
We have heard from a person who is 100% not trolling that they spoke to someone in the business (that they believe would know and would not lie to them) that pulp and prodigy are playing and this info was passed onto Efests ages ago

I've never even HEARD of WizKid. No way headlining other.
I was once like you but they have 5 albums and are playing an English stadium this summer (Spurs I think)

Just to remind everyone there is an 'other other fests'ival place that covers all things music festivals, particularly Glastonbury, were the runners will not con you into giving them money and then insult you for doing so.
The conversations are much more varied and the general discor(d)se is much better, way more chilled.
Even the resident American is much nicer than the resident American on here.
