  1. Was more hoping for The Smile.
  2. Arcade Fire is a much better/exciting live act than QOTSA.

Both King Kunta and Humble are probably his biggest hits. Both came after GKMC. Also Loyalty, All The Stars, Alright.
  6. You guys saw Stromae? That was something else. Sad that he's not playing Glasto.
  7. Surprising to see RATM still hasn't sold out their day at Rock En Seine. (But Arctic Monkeys, Nick Cave, Stromae and Tame Impala didn't either.)
  8. Inactive? Florence was literally touring all of Europe in 2019, Arcade Fire in 2018. The gap between the tour legs of both (and new music) may be the smallest it's ever been for them.
  9. That's true. But 2017 was more of a greatest hits set then those other sets.
  10. Luckily there's a world outside of Glastonbury too. 😉 Those are literally the only 2 festivals where you might be right, and the Coachella story has more to do with the fact that AF don't fit the profile anymore as well. AF is still a big festival headliner and they will probably always be.
  11. I don't love them either, but that's a harsh thing to say about Pink Floyd.
  12. That's true. Radiohead are still one of the biggest and may just be the most respected active (well kind of) bands around. They're pretty much/almost in that Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd category where people respect them while only actually recognizing the odd song. I think history will be kinder to this band than to let's say Muse or Coldplay. Arcade Fire is indeed in another category of course, but they're still a pretty big band. They're a headliner or nothing (bar the odd suprise set which is more of a promotional thing than an actual gig in my eyes) deal.
  13. Watch them headline big fests such as Rock En Seine, Opener, Rock Werchter, Mad Cool, Roskilde, Flow, Oya and Sziget next year.
  14. Been to Best Kept Secret once. Seeing Cave in that location (a beach) sounds dream like too.
  15. Peppers out, Cave stronger than ever. Get 'em Nick. Daft Punk 70 Depeche Mode 80 The Strokes 59 Led Zeppelin 69 Eminem 35 Elton John 100 Rihanna 60 Rage Against the Machine 65 Green Day 60 The Weeknd 50 Pearl Jam 94 Talking Heads 92 Kate Bush 70 Taylor Swift 101 Nick Cave 100 (+10) Dua Lipa 85 The Jam 70 Lady Gaga 65
  16. Yeah, although Michael Kiwanuka is a pretty big name too. I'm guessing most of the tickets were sold for Cave anyway. Glad I'll be seeing him in Werchter, Belgium this year, where he's sharing the bill with The Smile, Placebo, Courtney Barnett en the Sleafords.
  17. How is the Nick Cave day not sold out yet? That day is excellent. He's one of the few artists to have sold out an APE day isn't it?
  18. Lollapalooza Berlin, Benicassim and FM4 Frequency Festival would have a word with you. This one has at least some decent names (Mitski, The Specials) and a fine headliner. Still weird Florence is the only one getting more than one hour playtime on the entire lineup though. This festival feels a little unnecessary.
  19. xxialac is right though. That Mad Cool organization deserves more than 55 complaints. Mad people who organise this fest.
  20. Gorillaz are an excellent live act. The band backing Damon is really good, those backing singers and bass player is underrated too. Saw them at Werchter in 2018 and had the time of my life. Songs like Rhinestone Eyes, Andromedia and Every Planet We Reach Is Dead clicked massively when hearing them live.
  21. No, SHM replaces Kanye and The Weeknd is doing a bigger guest slot during their show... So probably pretty much what was already on the bill.
  22. Maybe you can check out some of the other acts that day? There's a lot of variety actually. Soulwax has an amazing live show, quadruple drummers and all. Skepta is pretty high energy, big grime name. Kokoroko is an awesome afrobeat band. Alex G has made a lot of great indie albums (don't know how good he is live though, he doesn't seem to tour a lot in Belgium). James Blake and Cypress Hill are always good.
  23. That new Stromae album is excellent for start to finish.
  24. And it's a beaut. Another single coming up in the beginning of April as well.
