  1. The old special guest slot surely. Not a sub, too big for 3rd. Dare I say similar size to Capaldi in 2020. a day with Travis Scott headlining, a Royal Blood sub, Streets third (might be too low) and then later on AJ Tracey announced as a special guest
  2. Yh Blink would be day trippers but most kids would go to AJ Tracey. unless they managed to get Bicep in the dance tent, which would split it 3 ways and make it safe
  3. Starting a petition for a shoegaze stage headlined by Slowdive, Beach House and the Cocteau Twins. Feels like a very underrepresented genre ✊🏻
  4. First time I’ve seen someone compare Sigur Ros and Bicep 😂😂 Sigur Ros next year anyone?
  5. He mentioned Rage in his interview and said it’s not immediately on the agenda or something. Basically a no coz they’d be one off shows that they wouldn’t play Wombats wise, they’ve all kinda held on, anyone with more than one big song has managed to stay popular. Two Door have the whole first album plus Sun, Are We Ready. And the wombats had a resurgence on Kill the Director, Greek Tragedy, LDTJD, Moving to New York. Every album they’ve released seems to somehow have a song everyone adores
  6. Dyou think there’s an option to put the 2 main stages next to each other and then have an extra tent in. probably a complete logistics nightmare but just throwing ideas out.
  7. Was just discussing with my dad about a revamped R1/NME. Surely that’s just too many artists. That’s 3 relatively large headliners a day, alongside 3 well known subs. That’s too much
  8. It’s nice to be back, I’ve always loved this page but as I wasn’t originally attending this year I thought I’d take away my extreme MCR/Tame Impala sh*t posting
  9. Echoing what others have said, longest anyone I know was gone for beers was 15 minutes and that was a 5 min walk their and back just felt that for everyone I saw I had the perfect amount of space id mirror the 10% shout, maybe more tbh. The only act people I were with couldn’t see due to people was the Killers
  10. I enjoyed the festival again this year. Missed Sunday for the cricket but other 2 days were good. it felt much quieter this year for everything tbh, I thought Central Cee would pull a huge crowd but it seemed quite dead. As much as it sucks for the bands I don’t mind the smaller crowds for people such as the 1975 or Foals, as it allowed me and my brother (who’s 12, and revised their setlist religiously for the week before) to get a decent spot for Foals with him being able to see and being relatively far forward. it also allowed the group of 10 or so of us to be perfectly comfortable in a good spot for the 1975 who werre absolutely excellrnt. I thought both the Killers and Sam Fender were really quiet which is so annoying coz I was looking forward to both. I agree with the music consumption point made by @Andre91, the albums dying out, Foals played such excellent songs off all their albums, but the crowd only really got going for My Number, MAMG and Runner. I think for me the reason I still go is the location, if I can do the 20 minute walk home after sitting get drunk at my mates campsite at 4am then it’s an excellent proposition, especially when the lineup has just about enough to justify the £70 day tickets I found. my dads been going for 30+ years fgs and still has a great time every year without really venturing past the Main Stages. It’s just a case of kinda who you go with and whether you can just chill and enjoy some music. I do really hope however they bin off the second main stage. Although at Reading I’d honestly rather keep MSW then East due to sound but kinda f**ks up exit strats I suppose
  11. https://x.com/officialrandl/status/1695002489458774154?s=46&t=NB_hBQLM0o_EY0OIj_Z9nw is this the Bombay Bicycle Club announcement or someone else
  12. That’s what my dad just said and I told him to politely piss off, so now I feel a little silly 😂😂
  13. Any idea who the FR secret set at Reading might be tomorrow, at a decent time for me so hoping for someone decent
  14. I think BBC will be opening the Dance Stage, otherwise the second screenshot from their Twitter post doesn’t really mean anything
  15. Which is a shame, because they were excellent at Gunnersbury on Sunday. but think Phoebe is doing solo stuff come the end of the year
  16. Too political, unfollowed
  17. I’m writing my dissertation on sustainability of Reading and Truck. This is very good information so thank you. also if anyones attending Reading and would be happy to answer a 5/10 minute interview when we’re there could you send me a message
  18. I said on Sunday during drinking downtime Thursday: Declan McKenna and then Gerry Cinnamon, Fontaines and Jamie T. could see Bastille doing the Thursday and Pulp for the Sunday if they’re still about
  19. Had a great time, volunteered as a Jolly Green Sherpa which was long hours but easy work, so you might’ve seen me in my fetching green high vis!! thought the mud but a little bit of a dampener on my weekend but Alt J, Lathums, Courting and the Last Dinner Party were my standouts. love the festival but don’t think I’ll be back next year as want to try and volunteer at Glasto. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Also might have to be cheeky and ask a favour for my dissertation but that will come later if people don’t mind
  20. No the ships not even pulled the anchor up, Tame Impala 2024 starts here. (MCR too)
  21. I work for a company who take your stuff from a to b for you, it’s like £30/40 for a lad and a wheelbarrow but we basically take you to the queue you go through security, and on the other side we pick you up and take you to wherever you wanna pitch your tent. it’s good if you got loads of stuff but f**king extortionate
  22. Leeds still holds up due to Piccadilly and stuff, Reading is a bland festival with it’s only selling points being history and location
