       Changed to 2pm

Mr Jukes 12pm Friday BBC Sounds added too

the schedule still says anna is playing a 3 hour set which seems odd and a mistake like some other acts going on 10 hours which has me still hoping some one will pop in there.

Oh yeah, Idles seems inevitable to me. I bet they're desperate to play live with that new album out.

Ive been thinking this too but not getting too excited and setting myself up for disappointment, was meant to be going to truck that weekend to see them. Still hopeful idles will show up, also because they were used a fair bit in highlights from the year they last played.

  3. Is there any group for lone campers like how truck organises a group? desperate for a festival and already had holiday booked for the weekend after truck fell through but seems to be a tough time convincing others to come with

  4. not unreasonable to have a fontaines sized band third down considering don broco had already played an arena tour including the SSE arena wembley before being third down at both truck and community that year.

Anyone else worried truck will be cancelled?

2000 trees have stated theyre 100% going ahead which gives me hopes with it being a similar size fest to truck, around the same time. Smaller festivals probably have less to worry about especially with the majority of the acts not having come from abroad

  6. Can someone properly explain why slipknot keeps getting suggested? they played download this year and have a massive history with that festival so I don't understand why they would come and headline r&l the year after. I get their poster was on the main stage a lot this year but that was probably as part of a deal with fr who do r&l and download. Also this year they did a loooooong european festival circuit who are all under a few organisations. The summer Europe dates they have announced are much more independent ventures (a cruise theyre hosting and wacken) which wouldn't have the same links with fr like rock am ring and grasspop which slipknot headlined this year as well

It's fairly obvious I was talking about your Prophets Of Rage remarks only. If you want I could bring up that the festival has a history of having metal like Napalm Death, Limp Bizkit, Skindred etc and the extravagance of Slipknot cosplaying might actually mash well with the festival but it's fairly clear they are too big for Boomtown and it was not a direction I fancied talking the discussion to.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Thought there would be potential scope for a band that big considering Gorillaz headlined before but that is also a much more direct link to a Boomtown crowd I suppose. Curious what peoples thoughts on other potential metal headliners are for Boomtown though? Just because that's the main reason id chose Boomtown over other ravey kind of festivals (2020 will be my first boomtown)
