  1. That's the most surprising, non-expected and disappointing name announced so far... I like the artist but main headliner on a festival like Werchter?! I hope other "headliners" will join him on Thursday, same for Maneskin on Friday. If it's Pearl Jam, it gonna be a strong co-headline... but I doubt about them now.
  2. I can only see 2 reasons: - The festival is in trouble for whatever reasons (booking issues, place for the festival, etc). - They are waiting the go from one headliner to announce their whole line-up in one shot (or almost, like 2023). If they succeed to have an act like Pearl Jam or Billie Eilish, it could explain the awaiting.
  3. In 2022, Sum 41 were the second band on the Main Stage on the Sunday. They had to play at Main Square on that day too where they sub for Twenty One Pilots. They changed last-minute and finished to open the Main Stage at noon on Friday instead. This time, with a bigger success and the farewell tour, they'll play higher for sure. I hope both Deus and Snow Patrol will play on the Barn. About Sunday, I can imagine Royal Blood pushed as sub but only because it's Foo Fighters behind them. Their last arena show in Antwerp wasn't soldout at all (in a 8k capacity), don't think they gain so much success in 2 years and there were some bad buzz about them a few months ago. But in 2017, Alt-J were sub for the Foo's and their shows at that time didn't get more success than Royal Blood, even if the hype was a bit higher if I remember right. And about Avril Lavigne, it would need really a strong co-headline with Dua Lipa to have her third imo. Thursday: TBA - TBA - TBA - TBA - TBA - TBA - TBA. Friday: Maneskin - TBA - Yungblud - Sum 41 - TBA - TBA - TBA. Saturday: Dua Lipa - TBA - Avril Lavigne - Nothing But Thieves - TBA - TBA - TBA. Sunday: Foo Fighters - Royal Blood - TBA - TBA - TBA - TBA - TBA.
  4. It would be sick to have Angele between Dua Lipa and Avril Lavigne. Strong female headliner including a Belgian one. After she headlined Pukkelpop this Summer, it's the next step!
  5. Very cool announcement! Not a lot of names but many interesting. The duo Dua Lipa/Avril Lavigne is cool. Having Maneskin, Yungblud and Sum 41 is great. Wondering the spot Snow Patrol would have there. In 2018, they played before The Killers and London Grammar. In 2022, they headlined Lokerse Feesten. I hope Deus isn't co-headline. Even for Belgium in 2024, it's a bit cheap...
  6. + Avril Lavigne, Yungblud, Deus, The Last Dinner Party, Michael Kiwanuka, Nothing But Thieves, Royal Blood, Khruangbin, Sum 41, Roisin Murphy, Snow Patrol None of them will play on Thursday. Tickets go on sale on Friday and there aren't any bands announced for Thursday...
  7. The Hellfest had some "cheap" headliners in the past like Deftones in 2022. Or Deep Purple in 2017 when they booked Aerosmith + Linkin Park. About Machine Head, they also count on the fact they haven't played any festivals during 10 years. And I guess the exclu EU at Graspop this Summer was a success. With this year, I feel Hellfest is on the way to look like heavy festivals from the US where you can more easely see rock headliners next to metal bands. With Metallica, The Prodigy, Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, Royal Blood, Avenged Sevenfold, Machine Head in the headliners... and see lot of more underground/less mainstream acts. Last year, they did a duo Sum41/MGK. What about Red Hot Chili Peppers on their next EU tour?
  8. Gotcha! Didn't know about these presales... well. Maybe today 4pm?
  9. You first need to take a train to Leuven, then the shuttle to the festival. It's very well organized, you won't wait long time to have a shuttle. So I'd say easy peasy 🙂 Tickets go on sale on Friday, not Wednesday.

  11. Still some surprises: never thought Simple Plan would play at Hellfest... Interesting to see both Main Stages on Sunday aren't really heavy. This trio FF/QOTSA/RB is sick. The second Main Stage with many pop-punk/punk-rock bands is really nice too! Finally The Prodigy are playing there. Metallica again. Glad to see they give Bad Omens such an high spot. Decent line-up!
  12. Tickets go on sale on Friday so we still have a few days... I won't count on tomorrow. But more closer to tickets start so Wednesday or even Thursday.
  13. And Thursday is now soldout. I think it's the first time a day sold out fast: about 50h later... Even the amazing Saturday this year with Parkway Drive + SlipKnot + Pantera + Architects only soldout in February... Maybe more combi tickets were sold in 2023 in the first sales. Or it's just an insane hype around Tool.
  14. The Tool effect: Thursday tickets are almost soldout in only 2 days.
  15. A bit different as festival because it starts late in the afternoon but Nos Alive is easy with hotel in Lisbon. Made it this Summer and hopefully next Summer too.
  16. Read rumors saying Parkway Drive will play on Thursday at Werchter... If it's true, I'm wondering how the line-up will be that day. In 2019, they play at 5pm around Yungblud and Balthazar with Muse as headliner. They should play one spot later for sure this time.
  17. Pixies have been announced this week for Ronquieres early August. And about QOTSA, it's 50/50 between Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop. Sorry...
  18. Tickets for Werchter go on sale on December 1st. Hope we gonna have the last headliner and some names before.
  19. Blink 182. Queens Of The Stone Age. Fred Again. The Chainsmokers. Sam Smith (sadly). Liam Gallagher. Lana Del Rey. Many bands around to make a great set of headliners at Pukkelpop this year!
  20. The biggest - and only - surprise is def. Pendulum! A little bit surprised too that Bad Omens are not in this first announcement but gonna be for early 2024 I guess. Never thought they could play at Graspop! For the overall line-up, it's decent. But I'm sad some bands like Electric Callboy, Pendulum or BabyMetal are not on Saturday. It's the only day without logos behind headliners: hope they'll give some great subs for that day.
  21. We should have about 80 bands announced before Saturday.
  22. Tool: first time. Avenged Sevenfold: last time was in 2018. Bring Me The Horizon: first as headliner and last appearance was in 2014. Machine Head: was there in 2023 as European exclusive. Scorpions: was there in 2022. Judas Priest: was there in 2022. Alice Cooper: was there in 2022 but not headliner (only been headliner 20y ago). Five Finger Death Punch: was there in 2022. It's disappointing. But for once, it's not 100% fault of Graspop. The quantity of potential headliners was really poor this year. Have they tried to get something different like Queens Of The Stone Age? Not sure. Especially as there are so many festivals in Belgium and the band will play surely at Pukkelpop in August. Looking at Rock Am Ring, they have only 2 metal bands in their 9 "headliners" (Avenged Sevenfold and Parkway Drive). Download also changed and has only 1 metal band in their 3 headliners (Avenged Sevenfold). We don't know yet about Hellfest but it's a really different situation as they're always soldout whatever they book. NovaRock has 2 metal bands in their 4 headliners (both are at Graspop: BMTH and A7X). Congrats to Graspop for having a different headliner like Tool but it's still frustrating to see the lack of possibilities.
  23. What a joke... Why upgrade a very very old act as headliner?! They could have put a younger act. Graspop always finds a way to disappoint me. And I guess the 80 names will come on Friday then, one day before tickets go on sale. EDIT: In 2015, he was sub on the second Main Stage. In 2022, he played third below all headliners on Main Stage 1 at 6pm. What about booking Sum 41 for their last festival in Belgium?!
  24. Damn, I forgot Corey! Thanks. And I didn't know Skalmöld but not a big fan of folk.
  25. In this list, the smallest act is Stormzy. He's more a sub than a co-headline in Belgium. He headlined the Core Festival in Belgium in 2022 and it wasn't soldout (festival way smaller). Oscar And The Wolf is a Belgian act, got a big success here obviously and really set a show like an headliner (both at Pukkelpop 2022 and Werchter 2023). Seems 99.99% sure we gonna have a real co-headline for Maneskin on Friday. Queens Of The Stone Age would be the perfect fit if they're not at Pukkelpop.
