  1. Gonna wait until the festival is over this year to know the dates for 2024. July 4-7 may sound late but in 2020 it was supposed to be 2-5 July before Covid cancelled it. In 2019, it was June 27-30.
  2. Announcement on Wednesday I guess.
  3. It's been a while since Ghost could be headliner. It's a shame they were put on the MS2 and not real headliners. Would have been better than taking Machine Head... Parkway Drive proved in 2018 they are huge enough and they confirmed it this weekend (even if I got a preference for their show in 2018). Gojira are huge too since a few years now. Hopefully, Graspop will finally book Bring Me The Horizon as headliners next year. By the way, they confirmed the 2024 edition will be on 4 days again. And won't clash anymore with Hellfest as the French festival is postponed to the next weekend. I guess because of a huge headliner (AC/DC?). For 2024: Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me The Horizon, Sabaton, Five Finger Death Punch... with Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Faith No More and System Of A Down?
  4. I don't see RHCP coming 3 Summers in a row. They usually do 2 Summers in a row. I guess they'll do an arena tour somewhere... hopefully. For 2024, maybe Rage Against The Machine + System Of A Down + a rock or German band?
  5. I remember I suggested them a few weeks ago but one of the Mumfords were playing at Lolla Sweden. Does he cancel it? Anyway, for such a short time to fix it, it's a really decent solution!
  6. The most logical way to announce it.
  7. Doesn't look realistic but Billie Eilish and Lenny Kravitz will be in Paris 1 week before...
  8. Not big enough in Belgium for that. They've skipped Belgium sine 2017 and a show in Brussels (2k people).
  9. Just saw the timetable is online and sadly - but expected - MGK and RHCP aren't on the same stage. MGK close one Main Stage and RHCP start 15 minutes later. For those who attended the festival in the past (@49Lawson maybe), any tips to see both acts not too far away? Priority goes to RHCP of course but don't wanna see MGK from the sound-desk of the other stage...
  10. The Offspring above acts like The 1975 or Stormzy at a mainstream festival like RW? Zero chance. Even if their show in Brussels is already soldout (not sure if they use the whole capacity of Forest National tbh).
  11. Rag'n'Bone Man announced at Lokerse Feesten. Too bad. One more act I thought would come to Pukkelpop.
  12. Both Dour and Les Ardentes are not soldout (not even 1 day) so I think both Damso and Aya Nakamura are out.
  13. Exactly. And it doesn't happen often to see a big band change its day because of this.
  14. Mauybe Mumford and Sons? They start their EU Tour in Sweden 2 days later...
  15. The day with Blur at Lokerse Feesten is not soldout so 0% chance they can add the band at Werchter right now. And they'll need to announce a solution quickly as the festival is in a couple of weeks. About Faith No More, it was a bit surprising but not the same size of headliner as the Foo Fighters. I remember seeing so many tickets sold at like 20€ on Internet that year...
  16. Blur are playing Lokerse Feesten. Same for Placebo. Depeche Mode don't play 2 nights in a row and they're in Frankfurt that weekend (anyway, it's impossible to see a huge band like this add a last-minute festival appearance). Pulp has only announced UK shows and they play in London on Saturday July 1st.
  17. Their last time as headliner at RW was in 2008. And their last appearance was as sub for Pearl Jam in 2012. In 2023, they aren't that size anymore. Check the festivals they made in 2022: Ronquiere where they're sub for Snow Patrol, headline Rock Zottegem (25k capacity)... Their last show on the Werchter's field was in 2018 for TW Classic where they play before The National. About Pukkelpop, the last time they headliner it was in 2011 (a show that never happened sadly).
  18. A big Belgian was my first idea... But Angele is already headliner at Core Festival and Pukkelpop. Oscar And The Wolf is playing at Rock Werchter another day. The War On Drugs? They were there last year as sub and their tour finished in Dublin 2 days before. Deus are big in Belgium but not headliner-size and they don't have an international aura like Stromae. Bring Sam Smith or Lizzo would be a very nice replacement in such a short notice.
  19. Usually, they don't change it. Except if there's something wrong last-minute with a band or a cancellation. About The Haunted Youth, they are a new Belgian act. It's great for them be on Main Stage but they couldn't be higher. I saw them yesterday in Brussels and I don't really get the hype around them. But I'm glad to see new Belgian acts working well.
  20. They have a sick line-up this year! Both SlipKnot and Muse should be expensive headliners. MGK has a huge hype right now so makes a great headliner too: they got Biffy Clyro or Royal Blood in 2022, which are not bigger than him right now (except in the UK). For the undercards, maybe a bit better last year but not a huge difference. The hotels are too expensive nearby, that's the only reason I don't take a plane to enjoy this festival!
  21. If they close the tent, it's all about security. Barriers closed or not, it's the same thing: if it's full, you can't enter. So they put security and close the doors to make sure it's safe. It's like an indoor show in a venue. I don't see how it can kill the festival vibes... Security first 🙂
  22. True story. They close the barriers at the entrance of the 2 tents until the show is over. Then you wait enough people to leave the tent before you can go in. And it's raining last the Thursday last year, you can wait a lot of time to go inside...
  23. Gonna be my first time at Pinkpop. Does anyone here attend the festival before? Any tips, recommandations? Also, I'm going only on Sunday: are there any trains/bus/anything available at the end of the day or you have to sleep nearby (camping/hotel)? Thanks!
  24. I'm wondering if we could have Ava Max on this week's announcement. She did a great show tonight in Brussels and said she's coming back soon in Belgium. She's doing some festivals all Summer, starting from Mad Cool early July until Lollapalooza Berlin early September.
  25. So many clash. So many overlaps. So many wrong choices. Once again, Graspop... They bring Machine Head for an exclu and they play only 1h15?! Billy Talent, Enter Shikari or Hollywood Undead not on Main Stage. Put Lorna Shore and Chelsea Grin, some of the only deathcore bands, on the same time. Halestorm and Danko Jones clash. And it keeps going...
