  1. US side has seen quite a lot cancellations for foul weather the last year and since that storm that hit Pukkelpop, organizers in Belgium aren't too keen anymore to take any risks
  2. Agreed on the barcelona show ruling it out but he does play Werchter Classic as part of the tour so festivals are an option. We might find out fast, whole tour is as good as sold out so they won't have to keep his appearance under embargo or whatever
  3. No real info: really about building the site up, how they've just started, will be with about 100 people, up to 500 in the coming weeks. How there's shortage of staff but they're seeing that people are returning to the industry. Fun fact: first building that's being set up is the beer tent for the personnel setting up the site. It's the afterwork meet up place, where they talk about the day and planning for the day after.
  4. Was in doubt for too long and my friends couldn't be bothered (which is stupid, considering the money you save) so I'm probably going for Best Kept Secret next year
  5. I've just decided I probably won't go because of clashes girls against boys vs billy nomates parquet courts vs battles strand of oaks vs squid Those were the bands I really wanted to see...
  6. If you make up your mind early enough, you'll definitely be able to sell your ticket right after they post the line up. You'll probably make some money on it if you ask like 250€. And I'm not sure but if Primavera goes up, pretty sure lots of other festivals will do the same thing (wouldn't be surprised if they'd even talked to others just to have an idea).
  7. Other than that: I actually saw more acknowledgements than I thought I would from them. If I were a VIP regular I'd like to have seen more info on what the package will entail (and this shows they'll always have this: 'we'll wing it along the way attitude') but as I've never been one, I can only hope less people will take one and it makes it easier for everyone. Must say I'm fucking tempted to buy a presale ticket...
  8. I'd like to see barriers but I wasn't too upset with the double stage set up. We approached Nick Cave from the other stage side and ended up at like 35m from him...
  9. Well, yes, I was actually pondering this myself this very moment but why not just cut it?
  10. I have a hunch this is the case. Not everywhere but more than we would expect.
  11. If you book a refundable hotel now it might just be the flight that's too expensive if you wait too long but by the time the line up is revealed there's still plenty of time for booking that one
  12. Meaning that if Primavera leads the way, we're in for huge rises everywhere. Wonder how people are going to keep up if we're still stuck in post covid/Ukrain war times...
  13. I checked: 245€ (Werchter: 266 / Pukkelpop: 245 / Best Kept Secret (smaller): 215 / Mad Cool 185 (lot smaller) ...)
  14. Regular prices seem to go up by 50€ (although that was the 2019 price) early bird and 80€ general, which is pretty hefty. If they'd told us it would be a price rise but that capacity would be limited again back to 2019 and the rise was the cost for that, I'd probably be convinced to go for it. Well, apart from the fact that I'm considering a career switch to become a teacher and getting a week off is hard enough as it is in schools, I guess it won't be easier in your first year there... Truth be told: one of the things holding me back from chosing this career path would be not being able to take time off for something like Primavera, ha!
