Pretty much bang on 11pm on Sunday. The Twilight Sad were on 7-7:45 then The Cure around 8:10-11.

Yeah, this is right @Odessa - on their Instagram stories they announced they would be on stage at 20:15 but it was definitely only ten past when they walked out. Not that I imagine you'll want to be cutting it that fine anyway!

  2. Well, it had to be the way 😅 all of those gems that have been littered throughout the sets all over the tour were absent in Glasgow tonight. No Closedown, no Figurehead, no Other Voices, no Charlotte Sometimes, no Doing the Unstuck, no Hot Hot Hot. And no Plainsong or Disintegration, though I can abide that a bit better as I've heard them before.

Still, with that little disappointment aside, it was still a phenomenal show. I cried a lot - and for me, that's saying something as I cry a lot at gigs anyway. The band sounded incredible. Robert, flawless. And he seemed as happy and buoyant in mood as everyone has been saying lately. Seemed genuinely moved by the reception of the crowd at the end. I can only pray that this is not a final outing, and they'll be back on the road again soon. I will follow them anywhere.

  3. I am a bit gutted that it looks like Closedown has been dropped from the set - and that they did Doing the Unstuck last night as I doubt that'll appear twice in a row - but I am SO STOKED for Glasgow tomorrow!

  4. Lana actually has connections with the three supposed headliners. Good buddies with Alex Turner, has history with Axl and did the "musicians on musicians" Rolling Stone issue with Elton. Take your pick. I agree that thematically subbing AM would make most sense I think.

All I know is that I need Lana at Glasto '23 to happen.

This is what happens when you listen to the same playlist I made of 700 songs on random. Ive noticed Spotify will weight the songs it plays... some of the 700 never ever get played and spotify seems to only use a certain amount of them and rotate.

This is so true and it has really been driving me insane the last few months. I love a playlist.. I live by my playlists. Make one for every mood and eventuality. And yet, no matter how many 10+ hour long playlists I make, they all end up sounding the same when I put them on "shuffle".

I get why, algorithm wise. If Spotify knows you enjoy and listen through a certain song, they're going to want to keep playing you that song so you keep listening and stay on the app longer. I'm trying to override it lately by skipping whenever they throw the same song at me again and hope it catches on and realises I want more of a mix, but sadly I think this is just one of the many downsides for using these apps as my main means of listening to music 🫤

  6. No surprises here. Lana still reigning supreme at the top for the fourth year running.

I am a bit surprised that four out of my top 5 tracks are Fender, but I did go hard on him from March-August. If Swift hadn't snuck in there at the last gasp with WCS, the fifth track would have been 'I Love You' by Fontaines DC which makes complete sense because I feel like that was the only thing I wanted to listen to for a two week period at some point in August.

I’m almost of the view she will never come back to Glastonbury. Perhaps saving it until her career takes a tumble.

When you said this the other week I thought "..nah", probably out of desire more than anything. I do see your point though - she doesn't need a boost from Glasto right now, and she loves money more than anything. That much is plainly evident.

I know that evidence of Taylor's priorities is never far away - it's been very evident through the Midnights rollout - but I was really hoping that she had bought into the whole Glasto thing (the cider bus! after all). This week has made me think again, but maybe that is just me on a pessimistic swing-down again.

  8. I got through on my Dad's iPad this morning, the one device which didn't have reg details pre-typed ready to copy and paste. Mum was reading them out to me as I put them in. I think on some of the postcodes I didn't even type in the space that was there on the registered detail, and capitals were hit and miss due to the sheer pressure of it all.

And yet, it went through no problem. I was as shocked as anyone.

Can't believe they've brought out their shitest song on a couple of the recent gigs, Hot Hot Hot!!!, terrible terrible song. Hope they don't play it in Leeds!

It looks like they've played it once? Setlist.fm says it was a tour debut in Florence. Funnilly enough though - was talking to the friend I'm going to Glasgow with the other day and we both said how much we enjoy Hot Hot Hot!!!, but didn't think it had a sniff at being played.

There have been so many songs they've included on a one-off on this tour so far, I feel it's going to be a like a roulette wheel. I'm holding out for any of Closedown, The Figurehead, Doing The Unstuck, The Drowning Man and Charlotte Sometimes of those that have been seen so far. If they wanted to throw in The Funeral Party for good measure I'd literally die happy.

  10. Of course I was all excited for Taylor's appearance on Graham Norton and I come across this development right as it starts.

I'm gutted. I know it was never guaranteed, but I'm gutted. Kind of takes the pressure off next week's t-day but it's galling to think of how long a wait it will be to see her on the Pyramid.

Just keep thinking back to that day she was first confirmed.. I was a fan then, and was thrilled, but I've become an even bigger fan in the three years since. Argh!

  11. Have seen some Easter Egg speculation that "Exile ends - 3 ... 2" pocketwatch in the Bejeweled video either hints to the release of Speak Now TV, or ... the start of a tour. Much as I would love the latter to be the case, a tour starting in March seems pretty soon, considering its not even announced yet. Not that there would be any trouble shifting tickets 🤷🏻

Or, we could be waiting another few months even to get an announcement.

    OR we clowning 🤡

I'm not as obsessed with this album as I have been with other Taylor albums. I'm finding the themes in the lyrics a bit too similar to previous albums and i don't find the sound as arresting as I was hoping it would be.

it doesn't feel like a big enough departure from 89/rep/lover era. Those eras themselves were quite different sounding from each other but this one is sort of a mashup of all three and it's not as exciting as I was hoping it would be.

How is everyone else feeling on 5/6/50th listen?

There are seven tracks that I am playing a LOT and I know will remain in regular rotation from here on (1-5 on the main album, Bigger than the whole sky and Would've) - the rest I am just not into.
