  1. Started piling things on the dining room table. Got the power bank re-charging.
  2. Itching for my workday to finish so I can get home and check my bag/list for hopefully the final time 😬
  3. See all you Gloucester services fans on Wednesday!
  4. Before the Dawn was perfect and I feel it is one of the great privileges of my life that I got to see it. But yeah, considering just how particular Kate Bush has always been about being in complete control of her output, I don't forsee her ever getting onboard with festival performances - if she ever chooses to perform again at all.
  5. Okay. This is fine 🙃 My expectations have been shot to pieces, and now I can only be pleasantly surprised.
  6. I know this experience was shared by others on here and has been mentioned before - but the most notable part of the 2016 slog in for me was getting out of my mate's car as we crawled through Glastonbury town to use the loo of a kind woman who had put up a sign outside of her house offering the use of her facilities. It was shortly following this that I jumped out of mate's car again to go and check in on our friends a little way back in the queue. When I got out of their vehicle to rejoin my main ride, everyone sped up for about 100m and both cars disappeared around the corner - cue my trying-to-be-but-not-very-non-chalant trot to catch up with them... Other fun games used to pass the time on that journey included "how many pringles can you fit in your mouth" and "what's the longest time you can take to eat a sandwich?"
  7. Got four hours sleep. Did some day drinking. Had to have an hour's power nap this evening. Need to up my game over the next few weeks!
  8. Just caught up with a friend who works for the Environment Agency, specifically in flood prevention. I've asked her to give me a heads-up in the weeks leading up to Glasto and she is on-board.
  9. So glad New Dad are on this lineup - really hoped they would be popping up somewhere so I will be front and center for them.
  10. My only significant clash that I've noticed thus far is Olivia Rodrigo / Leon Bridges. Thankfully not the worst as they don't directly overlap, and Other - West Holts isn't the worst sprint to have to make. If they keep their setlists pretty static as is, I'll be very happy to witness the first part of O-Rod and the latter half of Leon. I would love to be brave eneough to hold out on Olivia until deja vu and then just nip to Leon's encore, but I'd really like to see more of him than that.
  11. Aaaaahhh!!! First clash casualty for me.. Olivia Rodrigo and Leon Bridges. Devastated. But so excited. I have a meeting now but I am going to be ALL OVER this this evening!! So many feelings!
  12. Probably what happened to me - I noticed the message saying "No matches for your chosen date" - but right beneath is the box showing two available tickets, for the alternative date. I wasn't about to grumble!
  13. Once through the waiting room for the Friday Bruce show I had 32000 ahead of me in the queue. Managed to snag two pitch standing tickets for the Sunday when I actually got my chance. SO RELIEVED.
  14. Fiancé just sent me a pic of a particular envelope that he just signed for 😍 (What a bummer if this isn't my ticket!)
  15. Bit miffed as an iD mobile user - I've always found them to be great, and reverted back to them for an excellent contract deal earlier this year. When I had been with them in the past they piggy-backed on the EE network, so I thought I was in the clear.. but no, they've switched contracts and now use Three 🤦‍♀️
  16. I was really hoping for the full drop on the 24th to try and inspire some hype among my group. On top of some other personal difficulties in the last few weeks, the lack of excitement among my group is really impacting my own feelings about it in the run-up. 🤞 Really hope there are some tasty morsels this week to help stoke the hype-fire.
  17. My brain really wasn't ready for my age to be in the latter half of the option boxes. Why are the under-30s broken into so many smaller groups?!

    The Cure

I'll never not enjoy that clip. Thank you for bringing a laugh to my Saturday morning!
  19. I have long harboured a hope that The Divine Comedy show up on the farm.. just checked their website and they are now performing at a festival in Ireland over Glasto weekend. More likely? Less likely? Probably the latter, but I'll be clutching these straws until the full line-up is out (although I would have had them pegged for Acoustic if anywhere.. so chances ever slimming..) https://thedivinecomedy.com/live
  20. Dance Fever is everything I need right now. I loved High As Hope but think with a few more listens this will top it.
  21. I got this last year: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08FKRH1J3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1 Perfect size (surprisingly roomy) and comfy to wear. I found the "phone pouch" on the front of the strap was really convenient for storing cash/card and have it right under my nose. I've actually started using it occasionally in general life - far from fashionable, but just so practical.
  22. That's a great pic! On a similar theme, this is me on top of my dear friend Daisy's shoulders - absolutely loving life as Radiohead did Fake Plastic Trees. I too usually hate all pictures of me, but I love this one..
  23. The best thing I ate at Green Man last year was a serving of paella - it was so, so good. I foolishly did not note the stall name - but I am going to have my eyes open each day of Glasto on the hunt for it 🤞
  24. I have been citing this as my biggest pet peeve for over a decade now. And I know when I first started saying it, it was "this has been my biggest pet peeve for about three years now" but it still won't die!! "Pinky plonky, hushed voice covers of classic rock tracks" is how I always said it. Now it's dance tracks too. I could always imagine an inevitable cover of Hungry Heart coming, and could already hear the way the vocalists voice was going to break on "heart".. I cannot believe how long I have been raging about this now. Please, marketing execs.. please, think of something else! *I realised a few years back that I am part of the problem because I bought that Gary Jules cover of Mad World in 2003. I was a very, very sad 12 year old.
