I've tried for every festival since '13 but only secured tickets for four of them (2020 included). Will continue trying to attend every year for the forseeable.

You know I want it to be Taylor as much as you do, but it just occurred to me that this part of the theory could just as easily be applied to Elton. He is Ed's former mentor and they've performed together many times.

Judging from the position of you photo, I have to ask @Superscally if you were the guy who shouted "You're a fockin hero, Nick!" after a particularly emotive tune 😂 Honestly I can deal with the people shouting out song titles, what I can't stand is the disrespecful twunt near me who variously complained loudly about them playing "that Ghosteen shit", amd when Warren was having instrument issues, "just play the song you git!". Honestly if he had been one row infront of me, rather than two, he was in danger of getting a boot to the head 😡 *breathe* But none of that could detract from how magnificent the performance was. There was just one song I was gutted not to hear (and we came so close, I heartily "woo!"ed when Nick suggested it during one of the encores, but the reaction was not great enough so we got an alternative) but everything they did play was just beautiful. I got quite emotional during Warren's first violin bit - that was stunning. All of you who are yet to go, I envy you! But feel so lucky we got this tour 😊

My turn tonight! I have had the busiest few weeks, and work has been absolutely awful (Woohoo! again, for leaving this job at the end of next week) so I've barely had chance to think about the gig tonight. Could not be happier that it's in a wonderful venue, and all I have to do is sit there and listen to some beautiful music.

I'd somehow missed that there is a TV adaptation, though I'm not surprised! Will have to add that to the list - although having read the book I know it won't be a fun watch.

I've not been putting too much thought into this (I know, I know - why am I here? Get off of efests, heathen!) because I figure .. no use getting excited like i was for Kendrick/Macca/Taylor as it is so far out and could all just get blown up again. But it just crossed my mind, the thought of how hyped, how buzzing I would be for DAYS after seeing Macca live, all those immortal tunes ringing through my head, the combined joy of tens of thousands of people sweeping me off my feet... And to think of having that. And then maybe sleeping for a few hours. Floating through the next day and then POW - now you're seeing Elton fucking Hercules John? I'm not sure how my tiny mind is going to handle so much dopamine being released in such a short space of time.

You've articulated my thoughts about this season perfectly. Particularly about Nathan - just feels like what could have been done more subtly has just been whacked over our heads. I trust that within the three season arc, season 2 will be playing it's role, and when it can all be binged together again it will feel more 'right'. I haven't yet seen this week's episode but had been forewarned on twitter that it was a goodn and to avoid any spoilers, so I am very excited to watch it now.

Yeah, the only way I see it going with VCM is her pausing for a second, thinking about the task at hand, and then coming up with the smartest approach to it 😅 I'm fully open to being wrong here and being thoroughly entertained by whatever actually happens! Drag Race UK is also resuming that same evening and I am going to have the best time. Getting my haircut after work, then home for Drag Race at 7pm, Taskmaster at 9. Telly heaven.

It might not seem like much, but genuinely - by having already considered leaving my job entirely for the 18 hours, and identifying my "bottom line" finance wise, and really thinking about what I actually want to do, the stage was set to make it so easy to finally make this move. As I said, I'm a very cautious, very hesitant person - and yet, when they called to offer me the job, I said I'd think about it and let them know today but within two hours I'd called them back and said I'd take it. It really became that obvious. And I've woken up this morning without any trepidation or feeling of doubt that this is the right thing to do. It's a new feeling for me, and I like it!

Earlier this week I had a job interview for a part-time post with an organisation I've volunteered with for six years. I couldn't offer the 18 hours as advertised, but explained I was already in the process of on condensing my full-time job into four days, to free up time for volunteering anyway, and so I could offer a day to them. Today they called and offered me the position as a full-time post. I'm utterly overwhelmed.. I genuinely didn't believe I had a sniff at the job as it was anyway. And best of all I get to leave my entirely unrelated, completely meaningless work that has been destroying my soul, and do something I've been training for and working towards for over four years! Yay!

I cannot wait to hear what Thunder, Cherry Blossom and Nectar of the Gods (previously Wild on You/Colour Blue) sound like on the record. Loving Arcadia. And this has all happened on a day when I have received some wonderful news. Loving this era.

I was just coming to post this 😞 so sad. Every time I knew he was in something, I would watch it. Every time I didn't know he was in something, and he'd show up, I'd be thrilled about it. What a talent. I know everyone loves him for The Wire, but to me he'll always be Chalky White.

Feel like my reading funk is well and truly binned. Read The Women of Troy this weekend and loved it just as much as the first - considering the entirely dire context, it was a real joy to be reacquainted with Briseis' voice. Then I was able to finally finish something I'd been reading since last year, just a little book by the National Trust on different traditions and folklore of Britain. Now my tablet is loaded with books I am excited to read again. Just can't wait to finish work and get stuck in.
