  1. You can beat the drama of the weather in the lead up. I reckon it will be grand and I'd be delighted to be there this year even if it was lashing but also - no luck with tickets. My only advise is the weather will weather so stick a poncho in your pocket or bag with your preferred refreshments and party hard out of respect for those that couldn't be there! I'll be great

Ah well - no joy for me but didn't expect to have any luck. Maybe they should do a 100% prepay along and having then an access code to get on plus captcha etc to get in and then re-confirm the credit card info. There would be no payment processing but should stop bots but I dodn't know. I might get chat GPT or whatever it is to try and buy my tickets next year??

Coffee in hand, not feeling very lucky but will give it a shot. Good luck all and see you on the other side!
  6. Congrats to all that got through. We had no joy, saw the reistration screen twice at the very end but entered reg details and could not proceed. May have just been a server glicth as they were shutting them down. No idea how people get through so quick. Running at 237Mbps down and up at 29Mbs with an 11ms ping and didn't see a reg screen untill the dieing moments?
  7. Still trying to get my head around the whole thing so here is a brief account of the goings on. Left Rosslare on 20:45 sailing Tuesday and parked in East 16 Campervan field at approx 04:45 Wednesday morning. We were the last few vans in that field and sent in to fill spots. Ended up by the porta loos so had the soothing thud of doors all night and a whiff when the wind blew the wrong way but it had the benefit of being very handy to get to them and dump the toilet cassette, so you win some you loose some. First can of cider was opened ceremoniously at 05:07 and settled in on some chairs in the sunshine to watch the crowds roll in. We were 1-1.2km from gate C via the hill of death (totally over exaggerated). By around 7am the queue for entry was back up to us and kept going. I think we crashed around 8:00 for a few hours. Got up at 11 had some brekkie and headed in. We caught the end of the line at 12:00 and were checked in just after 13:00 so I think we got lucky. Wednesday afternoon was spent wandering around the site taking it all in, it is huge and while some areas are still in build it’s a great time to see some of the SE corner before it all kicks off. Overall a chilled day of exploring, eating and pints not to mention a bit of sunburn. Thursday was a leisurely kick off and in around lunchtime, numbers were increasing and the buzz was building. There was music today so lots to see, we had planned to be at Williams Green to see Michael Eavis and the TBA but by the time we got there news of Bastille was out and the area was completely blocked off. It was no issue as there was loads more on anyway. I had a items planned on clashfinder, it was moreso a list of what was on that was of interest rather than an actual schedule so as not to standing around scratching my head wondering where to go if someone was crap. Anyway that pretty much went out the window. A good exercise but my advice would be don’t let it dictate your day as half the fun is stumbling onto things you wouldn’t ordinarily do. Surprises – Pheobe Bridgers, wasn’t on the list but arrived just for the start. Were heading for Jesus and Mary Chain but thought it would take ages to get passed the Pyramid stage which it didn’t so saw her whole set. She put on a stunning show and has some talent. Would not have been on my list at all. On Saturday the Gabriels on the Park Stage were fantastic, a super show. Of course we were at Macca, first hour was a bit slow and then it took off. Sound was brilliant and fair play, he can still belt them out. Of course Dave Grohl and Bruce upped the ante even more. I suspect that may be that last big Macca gig that we will see but I’m probably wrong. Sunday I went Irish with the Sprints, Imelda May (poetry – who knew??), Damien Dempsey (magic set), Orla Gartland (superb) and then Imelda may again rocking out the Avalon tent. After that we wandered around and soaked it all up before heading back to the campers as very happy campers Monday, alarms 0600, engines started 0630 and off for the 14:45 Pembroke Ferry. Got out with no delays, stopped and grabbed a bite around Cardiff. Home around 22:00. So – its crossed your mind – do it, if it hasn’t – do it anyway! Other than that, all that’s left to say is………… THAAAANNKKK YOOOOOUUUU GLAAAASSSSSSTOOONNNNBBUUURRRYYYY!
  8. Fantastic. Our group stayed in two campers up at the wall of steel on E17. Was expecting a nightmare mountain climb each evening but the hill is no big deal. Getting around was handy enough once I got my head around the lay out of the site. Overall we loved it! Only minor cirticism I would have had was too much vegan / veggie food places when I would have loved a burger and I'm not a fan of the drops, but fortunately there were the urinals for me. Much respect to the ladys, you are all tougher than I am!!
  9. At Macca even the camera from the sound stage couldn't get line of site. They kept switching back to the one on the crane at the rear and that was shaky. That just left the few in the immendiate vicinity of the stage. Not sure what was broadcast so will be interesting to see but if it did have an impact on the live transmission there may be a reaction.
  10. Safe travels to all that are enroute today!
  11. The temps are disappointing. We listening to Gerry Cinmamon playing in Malahide Castle, Dublin last night in our back garden and it was chilly when the sun went down. Defo hoody temps and the legs were feeling it in the shorts.
  12. I'm bringing everything - just need to decide if the worst comes to the worst a 3/2mm wetsuit is enough as the 5/4mm hooded might be overkill????

An post site giving no info with the Royal mail tracking number. Hopefully tomorrow! 🤞
  15. I'd expecct them Thurs / Fri, shouldn't take much longer than than 2 or 3 days
  16. We've recieved tracking info to the main ticket booker. I also recieved an email answer to my campervan ticket question directly saying that its shipping today with the other tickets. Looks like things are moving!!
  17. Seem to be lots in UK that haven't received theirs also going by the otye thread. Maybe the entire 3% just happen to be on efestivals??
  18. We are still seeing tickets in stock and will be despatched soon. Its not looking good at this stage for us. Also our campervan refs are not showing any info at all and its saying no matching order. Seems like their system is having a spot of bother and going to create a lot of hassle for us. Wondering whether we should just wait and change the status to collect on Friday and say a mass and a novena each day until then???
  19. Didn't go back through to see if this was mentioned so apologies if it's a double post but it may be of interest to our US festival travelers. US removing need for negative COVID test midnight Sunday. https://www.rte.ie/news/us/2022/0610/1304112-us-covid-latest/
  20. Amazon are slighly more capable I'd say, wonder can they send mine via my prime account, might even arrive this evening if they did???
  21. Whatever chance we have with Royal Post, DHL, FedEx etc would be a disaster. We have continuous hassle with delays for customes checks on all items coming by courier from the UK as it all requires customes paperwork. Given in their inability to get them in an envelope and out I think the chances of Seetickets getting customs paperwork right is slim to none. For ref - we are waiting on 5 tickets and two campervan passes. We are on the 20:45 sailing from Rosslare to Pembroke on Tuesday night and intend on going straight to the campervan site with an ETA around 0400 Wednesday morning.
  22. Thats my concern also, if they down't our plan is to head straight for campervan site and produce all documentation and IDs etc. After getting settled and having a kip we will make our way to the Box office which looks like it will be miles away.
  23. Thanks for that - had a read so will see what I can find locally. Decathalon will probably have something to match
  24. Howdy, need some guidance on how to keep herself happy. She likes her nice white wine so what tips and tricks have people got for having it relatively cool during the day?? I reckon I can keep it cool in the camper and am thinking my best bet is a Thermos flask if I chill it well overnight with ice water. Any other suggestions welcome? I'll be on cans of cider so will survive and switch to bars in the evening. Cheers!
  25. Five of us heaidng in two campervans from Dublin so we chased them yesterday. Got an email today to say that we will be notified when they are posted so looks like they are still at HQ wherever that is. I'd be much happier if they were enroute.
