    BBC Coverage 2023

Screen Violence. What a fantastic record and era.
  2. Cashless | Rock Werchter 2023 There are a number of ways to load Coins onto your wristband. - At the top-up booths: go to one of the booths and state how many Coins you wish to load. Once you have paid, the Coins are deposited on the chip in your wristband. You can pay at the booths using any bank card or the current payment apps. - QR code: there is a QR code on the chip in your wristband. Scan this with your smartphone camera (not your banking app!), follow the instructions and buy Coins with a couple of clicks. - Voucher: have you bought a food/drink voucher in advance? Exchange your voucher at the exchange booth for your Coins. Wasn't the biggest fan of this at BBK last year, but anyway. On another note, lots of Thursday tickets starting at 85 euro on Ticketswap. Tempted to give it a go!
  3. Friday (around 13-14 names) - 2 Main, 1 Marquee, 3 Dance Hall, 2 Boiler Room, 1-2 Club, 1-2 Backyard, 1-2 Lift, 1-2 Booth Dance Hall closing act yet to be announced. Saturday (around 7-8 names) - 1-2 Marquee, 2 Dance Hall, 1-2 Backyard, 1 Booth/Lift? Sunday (around 10-11 names). - 1 Main, 2 Marquee, 2 Dance Hall, 1-2 Club/Boiler?, 1 Backyard, 1 Lift, 1 Booth 30ish acts missing then? Who are likely from the Werchter line-up?
  4. Saw them in November but I’m so jealous not having tickets for this mini-orchestra tour. Glad you enjoyed! Werchter should be fun too and I might try to sneak a Saturday ticket on Ticketswap to see them.
  5. But Kalorama would have brought them on the Arcade Fire day then? A cancellation would have been announced before and I’m pretty sure the band have briefly promoted Cala Mijas and Kalorama on their socials. Last year they came to England for a BBC Radio session and their Koko gig and went straight back to America after. Confident they will play.
  6. Only reason to do Cala Mijas would be The Strokes then… Let’s check flights and hotel for this one!

  8. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/sigur-ros/2023/royal-festival-hall-london-england-7ba636dc.html They should revert back to their standard setlist for festivals as they won’t be playing them with the orchestra, but god that setlist is insane.
  9. https://www.pinkpop.nl/en/jungle-by-night-replaces-nathaniel-rateliff-the-night-sweats/ Nathaniel Rateliff also out. 5 names left on Thursday Main Stage.
  10. Fair point. But they’re clearly stating it on their announcement, as if they were totally lost by the situation. A bit unusual from them… Blur after all the speculations would be hilarious but they’re playing another Belgian festival (Lokerse) and struggling to sell it. Not the boost Werchter will be hoping for.
  11. I’m sorry but building your hardest day to sell around Stromae, Stormzy and Sam Fender (all known for cancellations in the past few years) was incredibly dumb. It was meant to happen at some point. And if they don’t have a plan B or C that’s even more surprising from a festival such as RW.
  12. Not a single headliner gets more than 90 minutes this year.

    Taylor swift

God that setlist is incredible. Take all my money Taylor.
  14. I’m just hoping the delay is not related to Arcade Fire eventually pulling out... ? They’re still not announced elsewhere than Cala Mijas and Kalorama. I’ve seen a few rumoured dates in Italy on the subreddit, but no announcement since then.
  15. That would be outstanding, but are we expecting another headlining-size act for CM? A day with LCD + Florence/AF/Strokes would be absolutely huge. Last year they had a day with Nick Cave, Chems and Kraftwerk though.
  16. BOYGENIUS !!! That’s my combi ticket sorted.
  17. I mean we would just be missing an early afternoon act if that’s the case? No way they’re pushing The 1975 and Sam Fender this low on the Main.
  18. Thursday has always been the hardest day to sell out and you put 6 names on the Main, Iggy Pop as a Barn headliner with Nataniel Rateliff as a sub.
  19. Depressing announcement (and lineup overall).
  20. Yeah looks like the overall reception is not that great. But given how festivals seems to be struggling to offer decent line ups this summer, it’s a really good first batch of names in my opinion. Carly, CHVRCHES, Lana, Maggie Rogers, Lizzo, Rina Sawayama... Lots of great female acts RW is missing. Though CRJ was there last year.
  21. Jealous of that Glastonbury first drop... Anyway, let’s just hope for a few interesting acts at 4PM as I’d like to secure a day ticket at least.
  22. I would say 4pm (3 pm UK). The 8am slot was for a Lokerse Feesten announcement this morning.
  23. Yeah this line up screams Lolla Paris/Berlin pre-COVID. Thursday should be fun but it’s all over the place.
  24. Could Janelle Monae be our missing Thursday Barn sub ? 👀
