  1. I've been sick, or i would have posted this earlier. But SOFY has all but confirmed, so she will be one of them. She made an earlier instagram post about playing a song at festivals over the summer/announcing more soon, and i replied with Truck, she replied with πŸ‘€...
  2. Yes granted they are. But we have all dealt with the powertrip staff. One female manager saved me from a bad spot in Drumsheds as she used to be a chemist. She stopped her junior colleage from throwing away some anti stomach problem medication. I thought: "Yeah mate I'm sneaking in the hard stuff in sealed pharmacy blister packs" He said "no drugs make it in here"... okay sure whatever fantasy land you want to live in lmao, I just don't want an upset stomach after dancing all day and feeling bad after eating your shite overpriced food ahahahh
  3. No you'll be fine, I've brought one for 3 years in a row! But be careful with that bloody hill on entry, mine tipped over. And going back up the hill in the rain last year on the very hungover monday morning almost killed me. To note, if it looks like you have too much alcohol in the trolley/ or its hard to see into, and you get one of those very busy-body security staff, they will make you unwrap all the clingfilm and check it manually. Happened to my mates queue last year, whereas we got straight in as ours was unwrapped and clear to see. However as mentioned above, when my trolley tipped down the hill we lost a lof of coke and monster cans! πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
  4. Shame you aren't a festivaljamie T fan! I agree Wet Leg even with a new album on the horizon is a let down, but I saw Jamie T at finsbury last year and he can absoutely hold his own as a headliner. Never seen The Streets either so looking forward to that. Lots of little names on there for me too like Declan Mckenna and The Mysterines who are incredible and opened up for Arctic Monkeys on their last tour. Remember this is lineup reveal Number 1. The 2nd wave of artists in March(ish) and then a third wave is all the dance acts (sometimes released seperately to wave 2) - Finally you have the Band App additions and the festival as a whole generally promoting unheard of artists. You can discover some tiny bands before they get huge. (Sugarthief being one I still love)
  5. King behaviour my friend. I printed out the clashfinder on the Thursday morning last year and even had neighbouring camps ask me what was on when ahahahha This makes me setlist playlist a little easier to make already! (I often fully remove bands based on your CF, why bother learning words to songs I won't see lol) Sorry Fat Dog but if you do clash with The Magic Gang's last ever festival show? Then thats an easy choice!
  6. Ahh its not the legend himself, ahah true in under 24 hours is unheard of. My groupchat is going crazy! Good point, its credible because its from the Truck Website... but the exact timings and clashes are tough and definitely a lot of guesswork... https://truckfestival.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Truck-2024-line-up-audio.m4a
  7. Was just about to say and tag Tonyy to update the clashfinder, the hero has just done it infront of my eyes! +1 for accesibility being an even bigger positive now πŸ™‚
  8. Amazing thank you! I'm in the office today so have missed the post - desperately asking my flatmate to check the letterbox I'll get started on the setlits playlist that I make every year!
  9. I would defintely bring some wellies! The forecast keeps changing but i think likely there will be some rain over the weekend: https://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/steventon/ox13-6/daily-weather-forecast/2530789 I also recommend purchasing a waterproof bagcover/case too which you can find on Amazon. At least if your tent floods then your bag and the clothes within can stay dry. Below is what it was like in 2017 (when the organisers were woefully unprepared and didn't even have straw or wooden pallets to put down). The festival is a lot better now but the weather could change at any moment. I went in 2018 when it rained for Friendly Fires, the crowd was minmal except for those who were prepped with rain macs and wellies! 3/4 of my group stayed in their tents chucking out rainwater and that was only 1 of the nights of the weekend. Imagine if we do get a whole weekend of it pissing it down.
  10. Great timing! i had been looking for info or a clashfinder for weeks. The one evening i don't and here it is! Good to know
  11. Also Gaffa Tape Sandy have confirmed the friday in the nest
  12. Such a shame Royal mail did them dirty, they really went all out! I'd love these from a collectible point of view.
  13. Btw Tony, looks like Maisie Peters is definitely the Saturday. Doesn't help with timings, mind.
  14. Already updated the Truck Setlist playlist. 11 hours is a good start (a reminder its going to be the setlists of the bands i plan on seeing) Nearer to the time, with the help of Tony's clashfinder, I will be sadly removing those acts that clash for me 😞 Thank you to those who have posted some of the smaller acts they like. I will be testing them out and adding any I like so far. But for now thats the main ones in there, will keep avoiding work and trimming this down as the months go on πŸ™‚
  15. Should be High-res. I'm so happy with that. Alt-J used to be a bit ropey live back in the day, so I'm hoping they've improved
  16. Thurs- Wombats/ Vaccines Friday- (Sadly*) Courteeners - would prefer Bloc Party or Royal Blood Saturday- Jamie T Sunday- Noel Gallagher (*love that they are doing well, and that album did deserve no1 and a resurgence but already seen them on the sunday of 2018 and it was really okay) Seeing them pop up all over the other fests is a bit boring and worrying
  17. This is very sad, maybe postal delays idk. Defintely nothing in your email junk folder or something? They're usually really good on this so I would assume it was only a postal thing. Postcards with clues or fortune cookies in years previous
  18. Yeah I got the fortune cookie in early 2020. Missed it this year yet again tho! I forgot to turn on notifications for Truck's insta this January. That's the only way I knew about it last time, but the constant posting about scarves and bundles by them was doing my nut so I turned it off 😞 I filmed the opening of that cookie - cringey reaction aside, its even sadder now as Catfish never headlined in the end! Sorry to say this isn't the 2023 line-up, but whoever has the sign-up in the thread please do a similar posting πŸ™‚ I also have @truckfestival saved as a twitter search, so will be checking that daily hahah: https://twitter.com/search?q=€truckfestival&src=typed_query&f=live
  19. I can totally understand from a sustainable point of view why they think that people won't take their Gazebos home. But we always do! My group is a big believer of #leavenotrace . If anyone in our group tried to leave anything we would shame them! We have the same flimsy argos ones we bought in 2018 and they have never come loose or broken! So those who are actually good and don't fancy heatstroke are being punished. I agree with the above poster Nobby. The fest feels a bit hostile already, its a joke. We are going to chance our gazebos anyway, if we all bring them they can't stop us all right!?
  20. On that note - thanks once again for doing the clashfinder, you are a king! Do you know if Palace and Alife Templeman are defintely clashing? I will see Alfie at Community a few weeks before, but thats one of my groups worst clashes atm. (Other than The Big Moon and Jaws which is heartbreaking) 😞
  21. Tbh yes it is, but normal tactics required for any festival will work here also. The booze policy seems to work like this: If you go in with a load of mates at once, lets say 5 of you, and have 1 big crate per person then thats "allowed". If you tape it all up stuck together on a trolley and it ends up as 8 crates and untaping it and taking it back to the car would be unrelastic then you can get away with more. But the security guard has to be a nice one that will take pity on you. In 2019, we clingfilm wrapped the whole trolley together and managed to get in with a lot more than the first year that they started implementing it (2018). And as standard - be smart, and plan ahead. Booze can fit almost anywhere (allegedly) πŸ˜‰
