  1. What’s the info on James?

Would love to see them play again, the 2016 one was great but the time, weather and brexit fiasco was hanging over it.

I know they are just finishing their tour the week before, but they regularly tour to be fair to them. I had them nailed on for last year when they got announced to play Bristol Sounds on the Friday.

  2. What are the pubs around the area like in the mornings during the festival? In the past I've spent 100% of my time inside the gates so have zero knowledge of the outside world. 5 years ago if you said I'd have been considering this it would have seemed very weird.

Our situation has changed this year so I'm staying just outside to suit this. Thinking it could be good to get a brekkie and a pint before coming inside on one of the days

It doesn’t fold, it’s just a million people can’t get 200k tickets- it’s basic maths.

all that changes with ticketmaster is you get put in a queue and still have f**k all chance of tickets

I’d disagree and say it does fold. I appreciate the overwhelming numbers but there is plenty of other platforms who handle heavy traffic in a more effective way. The majority of the time you can’t even load the page, never mind getting to the refreshing page. Then when you finally do get through, there is no hold on the tickets you have landed, pretty much every other ticketing site has an allotted time for you to secure your purchase.

Ticketmaster isn’t much better but at least you have an idea whether you have a chance or not- instant rejection is a lot better than the long drawn out gradual disappointment that we get with the current outdated see tickets system.

  4. What a shambles !

How does See Tickets still get the gig for this ? A server that folds every sale date and now an error like this, doesn’t look good for the festival to be partnered with them.

Like many I had cleared plans for this weekend, and now have plans for the new sale date. 2 of our 6 will also be hiking up Machu Picchu with no signal . A trip that they had planned around this weeks sale dates.

Went to castlefield bowl last night to see James, first time I've been, a decent outdoor venue but beers were f***ing extortionate at £5.90 a can.  Mint gig though and the place was rammed. Hopefully see James back on the farm soon as they were absolutely fantastic again .

Was there myself , that last 45 mins was outstanding. Was gutted James didn’t make it to Glasto this year , I’d love to see them on one of the smaller stages/tents.

  6. Having never been as far up the hill as the Crows Nest, I think this year is the year to get it done.

The view from the top looks unreal at night. Is there plenty of space outside if its full or is it one of those where you need to be inside ? Would be shite to trek up at night if it was full and couldn't see/get in

They used to (£5 per pillow) but it seems that Glastonbury is ramping back on camping supplies sold at the festival this year.   Presumably on the basis that if you didn't haul it in yourself, your unlikely to be able to take it away and will therefore leave stuff there with them.

That’s fair enough. I can never be arsed carrying a pillow in ,but it always comes home with me - it’s a godsend on the bus back

  8. Can anyone recommend a good spot to have a proper sit down for a bite to eat and drink?  Somewhere in Green fields/Williams Green/West Holts ideally....Would make a nice change from buying food and wolfing it down walking round.

By this I don't mean one particular trader, just looking for a good area to chill with benches or tables etc.

Have a wander from Left Field tent towards West Holts and they're just before the cash points on the left hand side, just after the bar.  Just checked, and they are still doing it for a fiver!

    Nice one!

Just seen they posted this before:

  10. Planning on arriving to the car parks(hopefully Orange) by 4/4:30am Weds.Heading for Gate D all being well. Hoping to be set up in Park Home by 9:30am, is that realistic ? Has anyone got similar experience of these timings for Gate D from 2017 and 2019? Lets not mention 2016 🙃

Is it 8am that they open up the gates?

I’m planning to spend most of Friday night in the Temple (from Imogen onwards) but kind of tempted to step out for Overmono on your collective recommendation.

Just hope I can get back in the Temple  afterwards!

Planning to get in the Temple around 1am Friday night, what are queues like at that time?

  12. Weighing up the best way to get over to Park Home Ground, will be in the queue at 5am.

Have done Gate A last 2 times, but the paths to Park Home have changed now so the walk has got that bit further.

What was 2019 like at Gate D? Would probably make sense for us to head there this time, but I remember hearing 2017 was a nightmare.
