Drama over. I knew it would be resolved but it doesn’t mean I wasn’t worried!

We’ve just been to our local callers office to collect our tickets after postie attempted on Tuesday and Wednesday only to be told they’ve no idea where they are. Our postie is being interviewed tomorrow and we’re getting a call back. I know we’ll be ok and there’s no way we’re not going to get in, but we could still do without this.

This was my second Glastonbury. We had those two glorious days of sunshine on Weds and Thurs and the weather forecast did say there would be rain Friday morning but at no point did they say 2 months worth of rain. The site had pretty much dried out by Sunday though. I found 2007 worse because it literally never stopped raining. Just grim, attritional rain that never let up. 20 year old Adam just opened a can of beer and had a few special happy pills to get through it but I’m not sure if 42 year old Adam has a 2007 in him.

Badly Drawn Boy played Avalon in 2009. Final Answer. He seemed genuinely annoyed that he wasn’t on a bigger stage, although he then said it didn’t bother him and that areas like Avalon were the real Glastonbury. He also kept hammering home the point that he had won a Mercury Music award whilst Chris Martin from Coldplay hadn’t and that he was a much better song writer. I can’t really argue against either of his points but I just remember him being needlessly bitter and grumpy between songs!

He played the acoustic tent in 2010 I believe. Might have actually been 2009. And come to think of it I’m not sure if it was at the acoustic. I think I’ll check!

Throughout my 9 Glastonbury’s I’ve never sat and watched a film despite always planning to. A Thursday showing of The Wickerman should change this. ‘’Now come…..it’s time to keep your appointment… with the Wickerman.

I totally get why you did this as I nearly did it myself but I’m so glad I saw Blur. It was the most special performance I’ve ever seen.

Definitely spots they can fill. Also, Steve Mackey had just passed away around the time of the first poster. They may have left them off so they didn’t have to answer Glasto related questions during a difficult time.

Slowdive are a fantastic band. That was a lovely surprise.

‘I had absolutely no idea you were going to Glastonbury’ is something I’m beginning to hear a lot from people who know full well I’m going to Glastonbury every time I mention Glastonbury, which is on average 17 times a day I’m told.

I’m not sure if he particularly likes Don’t go Breaking my Heart. I once read that Bernie Taupin hates what Elton did with it. Apparently it was supposed to be a heartfelt beautiful song but Bernie said he felt Elton misjudged it and got the music totally wrong. Apparently he was fuming to see Elton off his head on coke prancing around the studio with Kiki Dee getting it so wrong.

As the veteran of my Glastonbury WhatsApp, group I told everyone that they will have definitely started on the covers by Tuesday but I now just look foolish. My aura as the wise old sage of our gang has definitely disappeared!

At some point over Glastonbury weekend I shall take a minute, possibly during Lizzo’s set, to remember when the Pyramid was just a frame and an orange cherry picker.

Hi William. I ordered this from Amazon 2 weeks ago. Got it delivered to my local Morrisons the next day.

I’ve had so many Glastonbury’s where I’ve overdone it with booze and various other substances and not taken advantage of all the great food there. Now I’m pretty much middle aged and have calmed down and I’m going to do the festival a little differently, and part of it is indulging in the food. I am aware that this new approach may go out the window as soon as I open my first can of beer but it’s the thought that counts.

I did a Facebook post in 2014 celebrating that the super fence was beginning to be put up and posted a screen shot of the webcam. I quickly realised from people's responses that very few others are interested in these things. I learnt to stick to these message boards after that!

When the organisers do things like drop off cherry pickers to the Pyramid do you think they are aware of the seismic shockwaves it sends through us groups of webcam voyeurs? I've texted 3 individual people and 1 group of 6 about a cherry picker and we've discussed little else this morning. Everything about this festival has always had a strange effect on me!
