  1. Genius! I was considering one of those rectangular fold up step things so my 8 year old can see the bands he wants to see, but the telescopic stools are so much better suited. Thanks for the tip!
  2. Heard someone throw out a random suggestion for Adele for Don't let the sun go down on me. Elton doing the George Michael part then coming out with "Ladies and gentlemen, Adele" Not my first choice, but that field would go off
  3. We had a beer with Bez in the unfairground crew bar on the Tuesday night. Sunday night I had to leave PSB early to get to my night shift and I bumped in to Emily Eavis as she was walking from the Glade to the Other with a friend. We had a chat for a few minutes about the festival, I thanked her for putting on such an awesome show and she thanked me for looking after the King's Meadow. Made my night 🙂

    Best Bars

Same here. Tent mezcalitas are the best way to start the night

    Skunk Anansie

I'll be running from Brass Against to Skunk Anansie too, will leave before Brass Against have finished. Last time I saw them skunk anansie I was with my very pregnant friend so dutifully stayed back with her (aside from an obligatory last song pit dash, the 2 times before that we couldn't get close so I fully intend to be right in it this time!

    Glastocam!

Would be cool if they relocated it. Surely everyone knows where it is now?

    Green Day

Now wouldn't that be a shout

    Avalon Cafe

Ah that's a shame! Sam's was literally yards from my tent in Undleground. Sauna and a shower was the perfect way to start the day. Great coffee cart too 😞

    Skunk Anansie

Seen them 3 times in the last 5/6 years, most recently in April and they've been great every time. Skin's voice is still awesome

    Volunteering 2022

What kind of bands do recycling usually have? I'm greenfields crew and we just have one wristband that says Greenfields crew, that's always been gone at most crew bars (those that are open to all crew anyway)
  11. Oh I do now, 2011 was the last time I sacrificed a set I wanted to see for the purposes of staying with the group. I love a solo adventure now, especially when it's at glastonbury!
  12. Beyoncé was enjoyable to be fair, but wish I'd had seen QOTSA. Been perfectly happy to have a bimble by myself ever since though!
  13. I went to Beyonce. Shoud have gone to QOTSA but it was only my second glastonbury and wasn't brave enough to go by myself! Still regret it
  14. Yeah they did a big "last ever gigs" tour of Australia over the last few months, think they played their last show last month. Felix and Ollie are still continuing, but I don't think it's going to be as The Cat Empire. I don't know how that would be possible, it would have to be a new project.
  15. One of my few must sees in 2019 was The Cat Empire headlining Avalon on the Saturday night. Everyone else in my group was dead set on The Killers on the pyramid. I had time to catch the first 2 Killers songs with them before shooting off for Cat Empire, as great as those 1st 2 songs were (and having watched the set back on iplayer and knowing how good a set it was) I have no regrets. Cat Empire were amazing and I danced harder than I had all weekend. They actually disbanded this year after 21 years, little did I know at the time that it was my last chance to see them play live and I'm bloody glad I took it

    Fun after dark

I camp in Green crew camping and I love that my walk home is lit by those beautiful paper bag candles. Pure magic!
  17. I love my Camelback but after a few hours in the sun I find that water gets that horrible plastic taste. Maybe I've just got a rubbish one. Have filled it with rum and ginger beer a few times which masks the plastic taste but I tend to get rather wobbly too quickly when I've got rum on tap
  18. Tested out my bed options today. Was going to go with a camp bed that I've somehow inherited but it's way too heavy to be bothering with so inflated 3 different airbeds I found in the loft, lucky for me one of them doesn't have a hole so we have a winner!
  19. Funkin is my go to for purees for cocktails at work, so should be decent enough. Never seen the cans before though, where did you find them?
  20. Should be in and have camp set up by Monday lunchtime/early afternoon. Looking forward to catching up with my team. We'll start with a stroll to the stones, as is tradition, so we can enjoy them before having to steward everyone getting spangled in the Kings Meadow all weekend! Then going to trek up to the sign as we've got a few newbies with us this year so that's a must for them. Then will probably spend the rest of the afternoon/evening on a bit of a bar crawl. Can't bloody wait
  21. I use a metal water bottle, a tin cup for tea/coffee in the morning and an old pewter pint tankard I picked up a few years ago for beer/rum. Its great, can clip it to my bag when I'm not using it and it keeps drinks relatively cold
  22. I am absolutely going to cry and I know there's nothing I'll be able to do about it
  23. Just completed my steward training webinar, much more enjoyable than when I had to drag my hungover self to the in person one on a wet Wednesday morning years back! Ordered myself a new rucksack this week as well as some other bits and bobs that needed replacing. The glasto box is slowly being filled and I'm getting excited now!
  24. I might be pushing it with "girl" to be fair, but aparently beerqueen was already taken 😉 Although I guess everyone could do with a glasto mum sometimes! See you there for a beer!
