  1. It’ll just run off, it’s so dry. There might be flash flooding though so not good for the set up crews.
  2. Put my tent up and waterproofed it earlier. It’s now hammering it down in Worcs. Good way to test it I guess….. IMG_0016.MOV
  3. This year is my first year at the Festival as a vegan. I know there are lots of vegan places but any recommendations for the best ones? I’m also gluten free so that would be a bonus too.
  4. Hi, just after some shower advice. I’ve done Worthy View for the last decade or so but am in the main Festival this year. I didn’t usually bother too much back in the day but now I like my home comforts and I get a bit stressed if I’m grubby… So just wondering where is the best place for camping near-ish to showers, which are the best ones, and what’s the best time to use them etc. TIA!
  5. Giving rain but not even a mm each day…..you’d get wetter from sweating tbh.
  6. Thanks mate! The second one at the Pyramid was taken a couple of hours after this happened…..as you can see wellies were on and there was some very slight mud. This was by Arcadia when it was right next to the Other Stage.
  7. The levels of rain being predicted at the moment are almost insignificant. The kind of rain you don’t even notice when you’re enjoying yourself. As you can see from these photos from 2013 of me and Mrs D, it’s still very possible to be very very happy when it’s raining or cloudy. We didn’t give a sh!t. Edit - I totally agree loads of mud is a different story, that’s definitely a downer. But I’m willing to bet my cowboy hat that won’t be an issue this year.
  8. I always wear a straw cowboy hat. In the heat it’s great. Keeps the sun off the back of your neck and let’s cool air flow over the top of your head. I swear by them now. I just buy one there. I look like a n0b but it’s saved me from the sun so many times when my mates have been wilting. Also a rechargeable fan with a mister is amazing. Trips to ice cream vans for ice lollies a life saver too, really brings down your core temperature which is essential.
  9. That’s almost an exact copy of the actual weather in 2019. Right up to the rain on the Tuesday!!!
  10. Mainly drugs and money. A lot of coins. All together in the week I did the Other stage I found about £50 in shrapnel. Also it was the World Cup in 94 and I found 20 World Cup design acid tabs in a little baggie. Which of course I handed in to the Police…
  11. I found money and lots of World Cup acid tabs. Also a sealed slab of Pepsi. And done very disturbing stuff in a few abandoned tents…….someone I kid you not, found an abandoned sit on bucket seat tractor. It worked. They drove off on it.
  12. Until August? Hardcore! I did the Other (NME) stage in 94 then all over in 95. Found ALL SORTS! As I bet you did!
  13. It was hot in 95 I thought. I was litter picking after the festival for a week too and I literally didn’t see a single cloud the entire time I was there.
  14. Did it get to that? I remember being absolutely baked on the Saturday. Didn’t realise it was that hot though!
  15. Looking at the trend developing and Gav’s update, I’d be happy with that. A few showers are actually quite nice. 35 degrees is not going to happen. If it did it would cause far more problems than a load of rain. People would be dropping like flies.
  16. The festival will definitely be cancelled if that’s still there this time next week.
  17. That’s a good forecast. I think the lesson hereis don’t look at individual GFS runs.
  18. I was thinking this earlier. Luckily there are warnings for thunderstorms this weekend!
  19. It’s the water table deep down that was the issue in 2016. That came from months of wet weather.
