  2. Oh I know I’m very fortunate! We don’t depend on the income but it all goes into a savings account which goes towards holidays et cetera so it would be nice to get it topped up a bit more before summer!
  3. Worn backwards. I'm 34 so have a few years left before I'm too old... @Deaf Nobby Burton
  4. I worked there in 2019 in a sit down restaurant - that may be a reason to hang for a bit of you've mortgaged the house.
  5. I'm aiming for April, which will be 2 and a half months since I last played. The suggested lay off is 2-3 months, so will be splitting the difference. I tend to heal quicker (although I'm obviously getting older) than average. I won't push it if it's not ready, but equally I could do with the money from playing...!
  6. My hip is coming good! Had an MRI scan on Sunday and will have to wait 2 weeks for the result, but it feels like the hip flexor has reattached to the bone. I tested it out on Saturday with a fair bit of jogging, change of direction, a few box jumps, and it felt fine. Need to keep rehabbing to strengthen it as I did feel it on Sunday. Not pain, but just an awareness I have a hip flexor as it was slightly achey. On the road to recovery though i think.
  7. We bought one for collecting fines after rugby. People used to have no cash and would rack up a huge fine over several weeks, then bargain it down at point of payment. Now there are no excuses - pay on the day. We've collected over £600 towards the end of season do.
  8. I'm in education too. In a position of lesser responsibility than VL. So my views are slightly more unprofessional. Any advice depends on what role she has and in what setting. Can you give us some context, via PM if you like.
  9. This. You might get lucky with a cheap one and it survives if the weather is dry for 2 weeks before the festival and during, but even then it will have to cope with rough terrain that will rattle it around, while presumably heavily loaded. The cheap ones don't stand up to much punishment.
  10. How are we working payment? Can people post their plans to give me an idea of how to approach it? I personally will 100% guarantee immediate repayment of the money to anyone who gets me two tickets, but unsure if there's a better approach. I'm intending to pay via a credit card if I get through myself.

    Beer Prices

Export pint cans are great - the 4 packs are often pretty much same price as most other 440ml 4 packs too.
  12. If we get tickets I'm going to bu this to wear one of the days. I'd say to the meet, but we won't be on site on Wednesday.
  13. Boom! That's me sorted for Sunday, if we get tickets. KL not my thing at all.
  14. The cheap fares become available 12 weeks ahead of travel
  15. Out of upvotes! I don’t want my view of I LOVE SAUSAGE obscured by an octogenarian rocker or a diminutive rapper. Eavis should make it compulsory for every attendee to bring a 6m pole with at least two flags, a cuddly toy and a windsock attached.
  16. The dates the festival has actually taken place were missing from the Thingy, or at least, I couldn’t find them. Got them off the wiki page. Paging @Gnomicide
  17. The last time it ran into July was 1978 and the last time it wasn’t the last weekend entirely in June was 1989 (it was 16-18 June).
  18. Set up email forwarding 🙄
  19. Had an amazing night in SEC and Maceos in 2019
  20. In answer the the op, I dunno! We were WV in 2017 and crew in 2019, so if we get resale tickets for 2022 we will have to choose a GA camping spot for the first time. I fancy Kidney Mead personally. Ideally we would bag a camper van pass but that will be easier said than done.
  21. I was more asking about the overbearing tone mentioned by @Tranquility of Solitude
  22. Camper tickets sold out already - I'll want one if we decide to go. Presumably there'll be some going second hand nearer the fest?
