Just out of interest, why?
Selfishly, I just don’t like his music 😉 Nothing against the fella at all, but yeah

Hmm…
MSE: Paramore, Billie Eilish, The Killers
MSW: AJ Tracey, Sam Fender, YUNGBLUD
I don’t want YUNGBLUD to ever headline that festival, but it’s gonna happen sooner rather than later

Doubt it, those gigs were already in the diary. This was something extra.
True. Although I imagine they’d want to include this date on the end or beginning of this tour. Likely London

Hope it’s not a sign of that Killers tour being postponed again. Been holding onto those tickets for ages now

It’s depressing to see the absolute drop in quality in DL, honestly. A festival that’s been on my bucket list since I was a teen, but now that I’m older, lineups just do nothing at all for me. The Sunday is the only day I have SOME interest in, and even that doesn’t seem worth the price. Would have killed to go in 2014….

Their whole debut album "Eternal Blue" is massive and includes some singles known since a while! Listen to Holly Roller, Yellowjacket (ft. Sam Carter from Architects), Silk In The Strings and Blessed Be. It will give you a good idea of the band.
Awesome, thanks!

I’ve been seeing good things about Spiritbox, can anyone recommend me a few songs by them to get a feel?

The amount of people I’ve suddenly seen listing their tickets on Twickets for events at the O2 Arena. God loves a trier

Holy shit 😦
ETA: How badly is this going to mess up the O2 I wonder - might affect some gigs? 🙁Was just thinking that. Definitely thrown a spanner in the works of every event upcoming in the coming weeks (maybe months?) at the O2. Scary

Probably won’t be back this year, but Neck Deep were absolutely sick the other night. Genuinely wasn’t expecting it to be as fun as it was. Be good to see them on a Pop Punk themed day or something

Enjoyed the Boba finale. Felt it put a lot of the focus back on him, which was nice. Post credits scene could have been something more, and I was expecting a big cameo, but feel like just because we got THAT cameo in Mando S2 finale, doesn’t mean we should expect it everytime
Side note, but the amount of people on Twitter absolutely raging about that mod guy doing a spin and shooting his blaster has me dying. It was unnecessarily over the top, but some people claimed it ruined the episode. Get over it

I’ll be stunned if this comes back any time soon, and if it does I’ll be surprised at whatever line up they’ll be able to put together. The promoters were subject to some very serious misconduct allegations which resulted in things such as Nadine Shah calling them out the day before she played, Fontaines DC donating their fee to a North-East based women’s charity and same other things.
If you have a look at what happened to Hit The North which followed a month after ran by the same promoters, I’ll be surprised if they run a show of this size again for some time
Real shame though as I went in 2019 since it’s just on the door step and I loved the idea that the North East finally had a good festival but I think it’s over now
Oh absolutely, saw some very nasty allegations surrounding the whole thing to be fair. Even the organisers no longer being affiliated with last years event didn’t seem entirely true
For better or worst, last years seemed to sell quite well though, although I’d say a massive part of that was down to Sam Fender more than anything. The fact they have early bird tickets on sale now hints that it’s on for now (although communication has been a shambles since the 2018 edition of that festival)

Any rumours/predictions floating about for this? 3rd - 5th June in Newcastle this year, returning once more
Royal Blood look pretty certain, they're in France that weekend and were originally due to play in 2020, no other Newcastle date either. No other names spring to mind right now

Saw Biffy tonight in Sheffield. The perfect mix of old and new for me. Some glaring misses from the setlist, but probably a solid 8 out of 10 setlist for me. Looked similar to Cambridge’s setlist.
Man, after having tickets for that gig for roughly a year, felt good to see them. First time seeing them, and definitely won’t be the last.

Get BMTH signed on the dotted line for 2023, Download.
Second this. They’d absolutely kill it man, I don’t want to hear this argument that they aren’t ‘real metal’. Needs to happen

Seeing THAT scene in The Mandalorian finale genuinely made me feel like a kid again. Just brilliant. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, take a bow.

You Me At Six are teasing something to do with Hold Me Down's 10th Anniversary. I think it'll undoubtedly be a tour (like they did with TOYC) and I can see them being added to R&L. Third down under QOTSA and Yungblud would be right for them. Doing HMD in full in that slot would work too as the album is only 40mins long.
I know they've got an album out in January but they did this last time with the TOYC anniversary shows being at the same time as their latest album cycle.
I believe they've been hinting previously that they'll be doing Sinners Never Sleep in full as well. Granted, those may be standalone shows, but two great albums from them. Would love to see them both in full.
They would be a fantastic addition to the QOTSA day though, agreed.

Bit late, but All Time Low are playing 3 UK dates late September. I'd say that pretty much rules them out of Reading and Leeds. Big shame, as I was impressed with their latest album. Perfect summery festival band.
The venues they are playing are quite small compared to the ones they did the last time too.

A twatty music critic on YouTube
He is a knob like, really really don't like the guy. Fair enough if you don't like something, but the way he goes on is just ridiculous.

Think standing is £65.50, not sure about seats
Cheers man, literally saw it on Twitter a few minutes after I posted, but thank you anyway! Saw £65.50 for some seats, as well as £54.00 for others as well, in case anyone else was looking for prices.
A band I've wanted to see since I was a kid, so I'm crossing everything for these tickets (and that COVID is under control by then).

Anyone know how much standing tickets for Gorillaz are? Planning to go for standing with a mate, but just wanted to see ticket prices first. If anyone could post all ticket prices for the O2, it would be appreciated, cheers.

I may have underestimated their popularity…I scoffed at their placement at R+L this year.
I know Eurovision gave them massive appeal, and their streaming numbers are impressive, but will this sell well? Or are they just a flash in the pan? No hate, just genuinely curious
