  1. I think they will be doing okay in the South America market. While US market is a different beast
  2. Does PS give a huge discount to its LA ticket price? The 3 days VIP now only 750 USD while the original price is around 900 USD if I’m not mistaken.
  3. Yup depends on the performer (eventho unpredictable) Overcrowded: Tame Impala, Charli XCX, Disclosure, Dinosaur JR, Gorillaz, Sharon Van Etten A lot of crowd but not cramped; Beck, Nick Cave, Caribou, Tyler, Pavement Pretty chill crowd can move around easily: National, DJ Shadow, Mogwai, Jorja Smith, Einsturzende Neubauten
  4. Weren’t BITS also overcrowded during Grimes and Black Coffee (W2 Day 2)? Where they closed the access to the site. While, at the same time they also close the access to The Strokes at Mordor due to the overcapacity.
  5. Thank you for the info. Seems Mad Cool is such a nice festival. The only red flag for me probably the distance otw back to the accommodation when the festival ends. Hopefully there’s a numerous accommodation available with affordable price that walking distance to the festival.
  6. I think that we just forgot how music festivals used to be,” she says. “We’ve had two years of being at home, where you could go to your fridge and get a beer and your toilet is your own and you don’t have anyone around you. 🤡🤡
  7. Cheers mate. Any particular reason why Mad Cool more comfortable and better experience?.. probably the weather? the crowd? safety & crowd flow? stage set and sound? water & bar queueu?.
  8. Probably not part of the dream lineup but I expect that Mitski or Angel Olsen will be one of the headlines at the festival. Several this year Mad Cool performers might also booked by PS, most likely Animal Collective or Phoebe Bridgers (can be headline slot), Modest Mouse. My dream set in PS 2023: Wilco perform Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in its entirity at Auditori .. Amen
  9. With Primavera Sound was not received a glowing reception unlike its previous years, I would love to hear the feedback and insight for the upcoming Mad Cool fest, especially from those who visit this year PS. Might try this fest next year, if the review is promising or even better than PS
  10. Well, I found those Primavera crowd at Mordor, with several of them crying when Nick Cave sang into my arms. 🙂 But totally agree with your opinion.
  11. Don’t forget the crampped public transportation otw back from the festival.
  12. I think they can’t present massive sound due to several issues and complaints from the local community around that area (https://beteve.cat/societat/veins-badalona-maresme-farts-soroll-primavera-sound/) The local community rejection probably one of the reasons why PS will not here to stay in the Forum (change venue or even go to Madrid).
  13. My amateur prediction.. Kendrick and Arcade Fire will be on Madcool, While NIN and Artics in PS. Got slight feeling that major pop artist will have slot in the lineup, probably Taylor Swift or Harry Styles. With the kpop trend in the festival and the success of Dreamcatcher in the this year PS, probably both festival will have major kpop artist , maybe Big Bang, G-Dragon or Black Pink.
  14. Try Fuji Rock festival in Japan…you will love the experience.
  15. Cheers mate.. seems a good chill festival. Hopefully they have good lineup next year
  16. And really keen to know about the harassment issues by the security, as well as unfair treatment to the disable people that I read in social media. If it’s turned out to be true, then it’s such a turn off for me. Especially when PS promoting all things related to peace and diversity
  17. So how’s BKS compare to PS. i.e: the music, the audience? Is it a camping festival or there’s accommodation available near the fest?
  18. Actually the one that frequently complained (including in this forum) are the loyal tix holders. If you lost that audience, you left with youngsters Dua Lipa, Grimes, Jamie XX type of audience. Far from nice and quiet, good luck 🙂
  19. So…what was the surprise at the festival? Already went back home after Mogwai set (missing Jessie Ware damn)
  20. Mogwai to close my festival days. This year was such a rollercoaster emotion. The lineup was superb, but Primavera for me is more than the music itself, i.e: comfort, easy, chill audience who obsessed about the music performance rather than getting wasted or cooked up. Sadly, I can’t feel this elements in 2022, probably because overcrowded, side by side main stage, bad management or whatever. Hopefully, there’s a significant change in 2023, but I can feel that their moving into different direction than the old Primavera. Nevertheless, it’s been fun weeks after no good live gigs for more than 2 years.
  21. Relax…they will come during Tame Impala. Right now, I imagine most of the youngsters at BITS waiting for Romy performance 🙂
  22. Considering no Auditori stage for W2 people… some nice surprises would be good.
  23. Finally, the last day of the festival plus ciutat. I can’t feel my 40 years old leg anymore and even My stomach seems to reject the intake of Estrella Consumption ( Aperol to the rescue). This whole 2 weekends PS were such roller coaster feeling, but I’m grateful to be able to experience the first international music performance with many goood set after 2 years hiatus due to damn Covid. Now onto YYY (kind of) reunion performance. Saw them last during my Uni years at 2004 and 2006, and their performance was perfect. Hopefully their today’s set not as crowded as Strokes, Gorillaz or Tame. Have a safe festival everyone
  24. Brittany Murphy was phenomenal, Lorde was entertaining, Strokes performed better than in PS 2015 (I think Julian kind of sober today), MIA was frickin fun and the Smile was …pretty quiet but Jonny is always the Dude!!!. Left early to catch the last Metro and missing RTJ 🥲. Today was overcrowded but I had fun. saw in IG apparently there’s issue in BITS gate with many people pissed off unable to see Grimes.
