  1. Sunday day tickets now sold out, can't see the whole weekend selling out but imagine Friday might go quite quickly now too
  2. The festival is usually very lucky with the weather and usually is pretty sunny - there was an occasion in 2019 where they had to pause things for about 45 minutes during a lightning storm but outside that it's normally sunny and warm - your greatest enemy is likely to be the dust that appears most years!
  3. Theyre only playing Reading and Leeds as of now (another FR event) but not exclusive and also supporting Pulp at Finsbury Park which made me think its possible - they might even just announce another Obelisk act soon and that's that but it seemed odd when they usually have all music announced by this point I'm getting very excited for the whole event now, just wish there wasn't another month and a half to wait!
  4. Looks as if there's still an act missing from Obelisk Friday, I wonder if there could be a secret set there at all as they've usually announced all the main stage acts by now - if there was who'd you like to see? I'd possibly hedge my bets on it being Wet Leg
  5. This gives you an idea of what it's like Also been checking out the Pulp reunion shows and I think their set is going to be one for the ages, they've still very much got it!
  6. I'd probably bet some of the podcast people who have been announced will probably be doing some stand up during the weekend too like James Acaster and Rose Matafao - the comedy is genuinely so strong every year and I'm in awe they always manage to book such great names Also pleased to see the Disco Sheds return!
  7. It was mostly people online IIRC or it was what a lot of people would have made the festival better Also I believe it finishes up around 3am from what friends have said - Arena usually opens about 10am
  8. Well.... Mumford and Sons had a takeover day in 2017 where they had no one against them and I think they then got complaints there was no alternatives. The following year when they had The Killers headline there were acts on other stages which were very low on attendance from what I've heard I think they know a lot of people will be going to see Pulp but there may be other acts on, just not in the main tent which Yard Act will headline
  9. I've heard several people refer to it as a mini Glasto and I can definitely see why, its such a lovely vibe and you've never normally got 5 minutes to spare without having something you want to see. Music usually runs 12-11pm, with late night stuff going till around 3am. There are hundreds of arts performances happening too, the comedy stage is always worth a look. My best advice is to explore everywhere, it's a relatively small and compact site so easy to get around and not have to miss loads of a set in order to get to another stage for a certain time. Henham Park is stunning and the perfect location for a festival If there's anything else you'd like to know don't hesitate to ask
  10. Considering she hasn't performed live in over a decade, Siouxsie very much still has it! Excited to see her in a few months. The setlist looks very good too and she's started including The Passenger https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/siouxsie-sioux/2023/ancienne-belgique-brussels-belgium-4bb85b86.html
  11. I wasn't sure if this had been mentioned, Paul Heaton is going to be performing with guest vocalists as Jacqui Abbott has stepped back from the tour on medical advice
  12. I'm 22 and they're probably my most anticipated act of the weekend! They've always been a part of the music I was raised on and was probably a little too young to go when they last reunited so I'll absolutely be there Friday night
  13. Theyre on Sunrise so a bit more room than Alcove but still best to get down early I wonder who else will be the busiest sets of the weekend? My guess is Pulp will have a Killers level crowd
  14. Some great additions there! Really loving this year's lineup, July can't come soon enough
  15. What else is there to add? My rough workings out are an act on the Obelisk for Friday and Saturday and about 3 more in the tent for Saturday and Sunday but wasn't sure if anyone else had noticed things missing
  16. Looks to be some form of announcement tomorrow. They did mention Damon Albarns 2021 Waterfront Stage performance today, perhaps its something similar to that, or maybe a Saturday Obelisk opener
  17. I second this, if you look back at some of the Sunrise/Lake Stage lineups of past fests there are some pretty big names who have played like Sam Fender, Dave and Wolf Alice. It's definitely a great festival for nurturing newer talent I'm definitely looking forward to Confidence Man, it was about this time last year I saw them on Jools Holland and shrugged them off as I was quite bewildered by it, now I can't get enough of them I also found some footage from an orchestral show James did about 10 years ago, I think its going to be very special
  18. Whos on everyone's must see lists? My absolute must is Pulp, also looking forward to Siouxsie, James and Confidence Man
  19. From last year Friday and Saturday Obelisk are missing a few acts and BBC Sounds will get a few more too
  20. This is pretty bang on I'd say, annoyingly they never announce the times until the week before but they never normally change too much so great work
  21. There's some really great names in there, the James Sunday show will be something very special I'm sure Definitely prefer it to last years so I'm looking forward to it all a lot
  22. Still no leaks from what I've seen, I know in the past a few acts have dropped the ball so worth keeping an eye out Hoping for some fun names added to the mix so let's see who's announced at 11
  23. Doing gods work as ever, thank you! So as a whole Saturday Obelisk is pretty much full but every other stage and day is pretty open. Really excited to see what they have in store for us, I'd really love a few more complete surprises in there like Siousxie. A few festivals the same and following weekend are looking promising so I'm sure it'll be a great weekend Anyone else have any last minute hopes/predictions?
