  1. I'm not sure if they're a festival band, I could only see them playing the tent because they probably need an indoor venue to match the atmosphere of their music
  2. Any of these for the Obelisk opening slot one of the days?
  3. They have a big gap between start of July and start of August so it's possible, I just don't see them as the kind of act they'd choose to headline nowadays - the dates definitely work for them to play though so maybe they're added as a special guest or something?
  4. TRNSMT announcing their lineup soon by the sounds of it, again worth keeping an eye on as they've shared headliners every year since 2018 Also saw the survey, seems strange when it's probably likely most of the main acts will have been booked by now, unless its for future reference/if there are a few acts on the bill and seeing how popular they'd be
  5. Ditto, there's always a great alternative in the tent - on this topic I'd love Idles opposite Duran Duran, they'd be a riot in the tent
  6. Yeah I think PSB are probably out of contention now and The National aren't the sort of band they choose to headline anymore Hozier could be a shout, he's doing a fair few outdoor shows next summer and seems the right sort of level - a few more lineups are appearing now so worth keeping an eye out for other names that are active
  7. Duran Duran are headlining Latitude 2024 in a UK exclusive show
  8. Well that came out of nowhere! Pretty solid first name, the article I've read said more names will be released before the end of the year too!
  9. It does seem very carefully worded, my thought is Madonna is still negotiating properly for it and they don't want to rule it out fully whilst it's still possible but don't want a repeat of the Prince saga if she's 'confirmed'
  10. The two you've mentioned are really good shouts From this I'd expect Blossoms, Suede and possibly the likes of Nothing But Thieves and Simple Minds on there too Definitely think we'll get some sort of announcement this side of Christmas
  11. Isle of Wight are making their first announcement this week, I believe both festivals have shared at least 1 headliner since 2018 so could give us a hint as to what to expect
  12. CMAT has been announced for a festival the same weekend, her new album is incredible and I'd love to see her playing Social media for the festival has been pretty active recently, I reckon we'll get out first announcement this side of Christmas
  13. A couple more shows being announced currently who could play Johnny Marr - touring in the spring and would be a fantastic tent headliner/Obelisk opener PJ Harvey - I'm stunned she's never played before but could definitely see it happen Busted - I know they're a bit cheesy but they'd be perfect for the newish Sunday afternoon slot of singalong songs (Rick Astley, Sophie Ellis Bextor etc) Loyle Carner, Deacon Blue, Status Quo, Tom Grennan and Richard Ashcroft are also announcing shows and I could potentially see their names popping up
  14. I'd say Stevie too. Glasto have made no secret of wanting to have Fleetwood Mac play and with them seemingly done now after the passing of Christine McVie it would be a great compromise of sorts. Also Edge of Seventeen on the Pyramid would go off
  15. Make it happen Melvin! A Sunday evening slot would be an absolute treat
  16. I thought the same, the festival could probably throw them in as a special guest sub or something but I couldn't see them headlining anymore LG's tour sold out instantly pretty much, I do wonder if a trip to Henham Park could follow after, especially after 2020 but maybe he may be a little too big right now?
  17. Bluedot which has been the same weekend for the last few editions has cancelled for next year, I'm guessing Melvin will jump at the chance to get those punters on board as there usually are a few crossover acts In other acts the Manics and Suede have announced a Co headline tour for next summer, I can't see MSP being there as they only did 2022 but the latter are a great shout to pop up on the bill
  18. Me neither, they were one of the defining bands of the Britpop era easily and have the songs to smash it - their recent shows have really good production which would be totally lost in broad daylight so a nighttime set would suit them perfectly
  19. A couple more names who've announced tours who could pop up are The Vaccines and Idles, the latter would smash headlining the tent
  20. I don't think they were co-headliners, they were only subbing their main stage - saying that as the festival was cancelled that year for obvious reasons I'll be stunned if they don't pipe up at a few other festivals next year too
  21. Texas and Keane seem to be touring next year, I'd be stunned if they both didn't turn up somewhere on the bill - seem like good Obelisk subs to me
