I haven't seen a lineup announcement go down this badly before for the festival, I suppose the one hope is they see this reaction and then pad it out massively with some decent names in the new year. With there only 14 names on there and no stage splits too there's evidently a lot more to add into it and opportunity to make it stand out a bit more. The balls very much in their court

I've never been to it but does Victorious have a full arts lineup too? I know it says comedy on there but Latitude also covers theatre, dance stages, kids areas, art installations and so on so I don't know if this affects how much budget they have to spend solely on music even though it's the main aspect of the lineup Also can anyone find any stage/day splits anywhere? I'm trying to work out what other slots there would be to fill. At most I'm guessing Keane/London Grammar Friday, Kasabian Saturday and Duran Sunday

First announcements are never normally the best and we know headliners have never been their strong point There's definitely some decent stuff in there and I'm thinking I'll probably go and have the best time but it does feel somethings missing from it - they did say weekend tickets would be out in the new year so probably get a bigger group of names then too - I wonder if changing dates has affected what they can get

Yesh it's a shout, I doubt they'd headline it but special guests maybe? Guess it's an hour till we find out - keep an eye out in case there's any early lesks as there sometimes is in the hour beforehand

I have too but they're not active anywhere from what I've seen, I'd love them to be there though We all know there'll be something in there we never expect so im excited to see what's in store

Anyone have any other last minute guesses? I'm really perplexed this year as I usually have someone nailed on but this year I've got nothing

I wouldn't be surprised if they rock up, they've had Fontaines DC and Siouxie recently so would fit the punk headliner - I'd noticed they have a gap then too and are definitely playing festivals so I'd love them to be there Looked back and they announced the initial day splits this time last year and then had a bigger announcement February time so I could see this happening again

Wondering how many names we'll get this time, we'll obviously get the headliners but I reckon 20ish acts in there I'd also seen they're releasing day tickets in the new year so we might not get day splits annoyingly I'd imagine we might get a few leaks or hints before tomorrow but overall I'm excited to see who's there

So tickets off sale on Saturday and presale next week, so guessing my best guess is it'll be announced on Monday! Perhaps we might get the other 2 headliners announced on the radio over the weekend and then more names Monday

Gorillaz could be a shout though? I'm stunned they've never played I think Florence has finished her tour now and is focusing her work on a new Great Gatsby musical so I'm not convinced she'd be there either

Hadn't seen this! I don't particularly rate him but thought he seemed the sort of headliner theyd go for - I still think they need a female headliner though so not sure who yet

I'm genuinely clueless to the other headliners but my theory currently is: Obelisk Friday Hozier Wet Leg Saturday Liam Gallagher Blossoms Sunday Duran Duran Nile Rodgers and Chic BBC Sounds Friday Johnny Marr Saturday PJ Harvey Sunday Idles Also appearing I could see Arlo Parks, Ash, BC Camplight, CMAT, Declan Mckenna, Echo and the Bunnymen, Gabrielle, Jessie Ware, Jungle, Keane, The Last Dinner Party, The Lathums, Raye, Sigrid, Simple Minds, Softplay, Status Quo, Suede, Texas, Tom Grennan and Tom Odell I obviously don't expect them all to be there but they seem the right sort of acts who could appear on the lineup

This is about a month after, there isn't usually much crossover but some more names for who's active

There will be another release after the announcement, probably a smallish price increase but I'd rather wait it out and know everyone who's on before buying tickets

Looks like it'll be this week then They did the same for taking tickets off sale for R+L so maybe it'll be Friday? I can't think if they've ever announced on a weekend before bar Duran Duran

Yeah the date on their website says the Sunday and Duran Duran seem like a good closing headliner, they seemed to make the Sunday in 2023 more of a fun singalong day (James, Bootleg Beatles, Proclaimers) so could see then carrying it on with this Can't see it being too long before the next announcement in this case, excited to see what else they have in store for us

Did some digging and came across some Nile Rogers and Chic dates and well... looks like we have our next confirmed act! That's a brilliant booking, they'll be great fun Can easily see them subbing Duran Duran

Another festival same weekend I'd say CMAT is almost a shoo in now, the others are all definite possibilities too Also I probably wasn't specific enough earlier and probably should have said there was a bit of crossover, sorry! 🙂

Couple of announcements due this week, namely Boardmasters which has a very similar range of acts to Latitude Also announced today was Lytham Festival James, Lightning Seeds and Kooks can instantly be ruled out after only playing this year but what are the chances of the others? Madness would be an absolute storm there

Lots of activity from FR making the Reading and Leeds announcement tonight, this usually means a Latitude announcement isn't too far away! I reckon by the end of next week

TRNSMT lineup is out, they usually share a few acts so could see some of these popping up Interesting they've always shared a headliner since 2017, could LG be on the cards?

Theyve confirmed there will be more names before the end of the year so won't be too long, I'm wondering if ones left to announce have a shared headliners who they're waiting to announce together like when they all had Pulp

Not that it means much but they've said the next news is soon which they only normally do about 2 weeks an announcement, could it be end of the month/start of December time?
