  1. I've got the same issue, Ithaca overlap w AW, and then AW overlap with GN I'm quite happy to watch Ithaca til they're finished and then dart to AW, and same for GN though
  2. also I know they were already announced but Kublai Khan TX set is gonna be D A N G E R O U S i am excited and frightened at the same time
  3. Graphic Nature - nu-hardcore with trimmings of Slipknot amongst other influence in their sound, very heavy, very visceral, great live Lake Malice - this band are fast rising, they're gonna be everywhere, well produced alternative heavy music, hard to pin to a genre, very good stuff As Everything Unfolds - the 5 tracks currently out from their upcoming album are straight up some of the best shit I've ever heard, Felt Like Home is an undeniable banger you're gonna wanna be there to sing along to PALEDUSK - this is the big one for me, been waiting to see these for ages, they're like Crossfaith if they were remixed up by The Prodigy and on all kinds of fucking speed. Absolutely batshit insane sound, unique, nobody doing it like them rn. Press To MECO - really great band that mix vocal harmonies w sick riffs, it's their last ever show so if you've never seen them, come join their send off Fleshwater - ever wanted to hear what it'd sound like if oldschool grunge was mashed up w filthy hardcore? go see Fleshwater unpeople. - this is the new project from a couple of the Press To MECO lads, so they're debuting it at Trees, no clue yet on what it will sound like as there is no songs released. Ithaca - straight up released one of the best heavy records of last year, fantastic live band, has to be seen to be believed also they don't really count as smaller bands but go see Cancer Bats and The Wonder Years, they're gonna smash it, they always smash it
  4. ArcTanGent are announcing their final headliner soon so I reckon' Trees news not too far to follow now!
  5. For a lot of folks, myself included, it's because of the allegations that surfaced surrounding their vocalist back in 2017, they charged the victim w defamation and she had to withdraw her statement from the public record and the band gained vast popularity in the years after that incident The people that were around for and do remember it, many of us have a general distaste for the band ever since Obvs some people don't believe it, others are completely unaware etc but that is probably why there's such a dislike of them
  6. I think it's gonna be Don Broco unfortunately but I pray I'm wrong, I personally want Weezer more than anything, although I will gladly settle for QOTSA, or The Hives AFI I wouldn't be fussed about but it's definitely preferable to Broco, and as much as I love them both I think there's no chance it'll be Twin Atlantic or Shikari (if Twin are playing they won't be headlining, they're about on the same level as Deaf Havana and they're not a headliner so) and Shikari are doing Slam Dunk as a headliner so no chance
  7. 2022 had 153 artists booked to play, currently for 2023 we have 131 announced so yeah there's probs around 20 - 25 left tba roughly
  8. Really want Weezer, but I'm thinking AFI
  9. I honestly have really high hopes for a Weezer announcement today
  10. I've seen Shikari 15 times and not once have I seen them put on a bad set, anyone that is on the fence about who to pick, consider this a strong recommendation for Shikari being pretty much the best live band from the UK going imo
  11. personally can't stand them, I would argue they'd be a decent headliner but not over Skindred, if Skindred can't be a headliner I can't see reason for Neck Deep to be, not yet
  12. Hidden gem I've just found on the line up; Fleshwater - grungey shoegaze ft two members of Vein.fm just been through and listened to the whole line up and there's a LOT of punk and indie bands this year, makes me think The Hives is actually possible, if they're trying to cater to a punky demographic, it feels like there's even more bands of that ilk than last year with IDLES headlining.
  13. I'd actually be stoked to have Skindred there tbh they're always fun, I can't really think of any other thing a helicopter clue could be other than them and Bloc Party unless the clue is like, buildings? skyline? cities? City And Colour not big enough surely?
  14. ANNOUNCEMENT IS TOMORROW (TUESDAY) LETS GO
  15. a few predictions/quick round up ahead of next weeks announcement: The Xcerts just released a new song, new record coming this year, there's no better place for them to play than Trees, I think they're pretty much nailed on (they were meant to play last year too but it seemed to fall through) Spiritbox, I still think this is unlikely but there IS a tiny gap in their tour schedule that would allow them to do it, given that Loathe, their main tour support, are also appearing at Trees. We could also perhaps account for Brand Of Sacrifice appearing at Trees, cause hey, if Loathe can do it why not As I mentioned before, Twin Atlantic are going to be active at festivals in Europe and they have a longstanding history with the festival, so they could make an appearance Crossfaith, Fangclub, Strange Bones, Stray From The Path, Dragged Under, Wargasm, Hot Milk - just a few bands I can think of that were booked for either last year, 2021 or 2020 which obvs didn't happen, that may still be keen / have an invitation to return to the festival Sleep Token, the hottest rising band in the world right now, I just can't see it, I could see them perhaps being added to Download, or another festival but I don't think Trees is the right fit for them, but who knows Employed To Serve seem to be on the summer festival circuit, as are Paledusk who have made it clear they really wanna play in the UK soon, worth noting that Stray From The Path who I mentioned above are also around the EU in late June some artists on the Rock Wercher line up that might be able to come right over and play Trees after that seem suited to the festival: City And Colour, Hot Milk, The Interrupters, Squid Carpenter Brut seem to also be on the festival circuit in June, as are Clutch, Polaris, Stand Atlantic, The Amity Affliction, Black Flag, Man With A Mission, Evile, Electric Callboy, etc Of course, there's always the: what if they got AFI back this time? question Bleed From Within seem to be around in June/July too, as they finish their big US tour by the end of April which gives them some time to recover, take a break and then hit the UK/EU obviously the possibilities are almost endless but just wanted to throw out some possibilities that I could spot A few personal wishes that I think would suit the fest but likely won't happen: Rise Of The Northstar (they don't come to the UK much but they're very active this summer in Europe), Palette Knife, Free Throw, Hot Mulligan, I wanna see lots of emo
  16. hoping praying that they've managed to get Crossfaith back from when they were meant to play last year I miss my fave band, not seen them since 2020 😞
  17. Twin Atlantic announced for a festival in Spain the weekend after Trees, could mean they're on the summer festival circuit, maybe a full band set at Trees this time?
  18. Looks like we're not too far off an announcement now, Trees Facebook post claims 'big news soon'
  19. the four clues only relate to ONE band, Trees confirmed it on a reply to someone on Twitter so it's gotta be Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes
  20. Great Escape just announced 50 artists
