  1. Yes you might be able to tell that the Food is quite a big focus for me. I have a laminate now with about twenty or so of the places I liked or most want to try marked on. Although if you can read my writing on all of these you should win a prize.
  2. Weighing up whether to take our 6 man tent or buy a second 3 man tent. Booked on a coach from Bristol due to arrive at 7.15am Wednesday. By all accounts we should be fairly quick getting in once the coach arrives and gates open due to bypassing the non-coach queue at Gate A. But then quite a long walk across the site to Big Ground. Anyone know what sort of time we would need to reach Big Ground and be pitching in order to be confident of there being enough space for a large tent?
  3. Cheese Truck confirmed via email. Hoping to camp in Big Ground so will have to try these out for the first time after hearing rave reviews.
  4. Good list of confirmed traders here: https://thefestivals.uk/glastonbury-food/
  5. No Tibetan Kitchen though this year, confirmed by email. Will have to do without momos.
  6. No surprise but Anna Mae's Mac N Cheese will be back in their usual spots. Time for me to roll out my joke that Annie Mac's Mayan Cheese will hopefully be there too. We’ll be in our usual spots - in Alfred market between the bandstand and the Pyramid stage, and up in the acoustic field. Theres always less queues up in the acoustic field (little known but great acts up there!) so we try and point people in that direction.
  7. We got Thursday 06:00 from Manchester in 2019. CORPORATION STREET COACH BAYS, M3 1NX The location may change this year as there have been road layout changes. There was a suggestion on another thread of Hunts Bank by Manchester Arena which is where the return dropped us off. Return was 11:30 on Monday.
  8. The 2019 access map is great for detail on the central areas and the colour coding is helpful. We had a laminate of this to help find our way around for our first festival and mark on nice food places and things with a Sharpie.
  9. Followed helpful recommendation from @incident in the Car v Coach thread. Booked Premier Inn next to Bristol Bus and Coach Station on Tuesday night and National Express at 6.00am the next morning to hopefully arrive around 7.15am. We'll get train down from Manchester and see if we can blag a See Coach back to Manchester on the Monday otherwise shuttle bus to Temple Meads and train. Like the idea of this better than doing all the driving both ways (it's just me and two teenagers, Mrs Kim stays at home) plus part of the night in the queue. Hoping to still get a central campsite ideally Big Ground or Webb's Ash.
  10. We had problems buying tickets for someone on the resale sheet. The first card I tried, which I've used lots of times with See Tickets, came back with some kind of rejection message I've not seen before without even sending a text. No reason evident - MasterCard, autofilled card number and definitely the right expiry date and three digit code. Not near the credit limit. Second card hung for about a minute and a half with the page looking frozen. My 17 year old son, calmer than me, said not to click back but to keep waiting. We finally got to the page to request a text message and all good from there except for a little more lagginess than our nerves would have liked.
  11. Yes it seems they're hoping to recruit some naïve Co-op colleagues who have never been to the farm or looked into volunteering to do the shift pattern that no-one else would want. If they're successful though it might mean better shift patterns for others on the Recycling Crew.
  12. There could be benefits from Thursday arrival over Wednesday for anyone who struggles with say a bad back, isn't a big fan of camping, who loves a shower etc. More so in a muddy year. So anyone who you were worried might not last the pace.
  13. I did my first Glastonbury in 2019 with my two teenage children arriving on coach tickets from Manchester around lunchtime Thursday. We're lucky to have bagged general admission this year. Will we be arriving Tuesday night excited to be on site first thing on Wednesday morning? Yes. Did we still have one of the best weekends of our lives arriving on Thursday? Absolutely.
  14. I've never volunteered at the festival but the Recycling Crew are trying to recruit 300 Co-op staff to fill what look to me rubbish shifts that I assume a lot of people would want to avoid. Three shifts Friday to Sunday, working 6pm to midnight. https://colleaguestories.coop.co.uk/2022/03/28/we-need-300-volunteers-for-the-glastonbury-recycling-crew/
  15. Strange answer and it wasn't listed on their menu but Anna Mae's Mac n Cheese in Williams Green did a full suit of armour for £19.95 which I thought was very reasonable 😉
  16. They were between Leftfield/EE and West Holts in 2019 IIRC.
  17. Dosa Deli will be at Williams Green. Awesome dosas and onion bhajis. Last time they also had a stall on way between Pyramid and Other on Silver Heyes side.
  18. Thanks. So am I right in thinking that each year they have an event page for the Wednesday coach sale, one for the Thursday coach sale and one for the general admission sale? And if you know what the event pages were for each of these in the October sales you can bypass the DNS when it comes to each of the two resales because they reuse them? But you would be hard pressed to guess what the event pages will be in advance when it comes to the October sales?
  19. For future reference are you able to confirm which link worked before 9.00am?
  20. That's where the coach dropped us back on the Monday in 2019?
  21. Yes they might have to move it. Not sure whether coach/bus bays are still in operation there.
  22. In 2019 it was near Victoria Station on Corporation Street. We got a coach at 6.30am Thursday and ended up on site around 12.00pm but there were coaches leaving as late as 12.00pm or 1.00pm if I recall.
  23. Congratulations. And top effort helping so many others with the spreadsheet. Efestivals at its best.
  24. 2019 one has pride of place on @Miyn's bedroom wall.
