  1. I'd say double check deets as others have said (we had an incident in 2019 where someone added a slightly incorrect postcode, then was uncontactable because they were trying for tickets too, so a number of people had to wait until the 2022 resale!). The only other thing that's worked for me is logging into my work VPN from home. Idk if it's because they have superfast business internet, or some other factor, but that's worked for me so far.
  2. Ahhh ffs I live in West but work in Shoreditch. If I'd not been working from home today I could've got one! I only really want to see Tame Impala but can't justify the £70 face value
  3. If anyone's on site - what are the bar prices looking like? Need to strategize!
  4. Ooo if you sign up do you get some sort of QR code or something for fast track entry?
  5. Ah this sucks. I'd hoped to nab cheap Tame Impala tix so I could go after work next week as don't have much annual leave left, and don't care for the rest of the line up that day. Next year's line ups are going to have to be out of this world if they're expecting people to pay £70/£80, and fork out c. £7 per 330ml can of cider/beer while they're in there. That's effectively getting on for over £10/pint.
  6. jesus fucking christ are they actually clashing? who on earth puts on a dual-headliner festival where the headliners clash 😞 so gutted been waiting for this since Jan - even bought an actual full priced ticket not to miss it.
  7. Ah I see - that's weirdly worked out quite well as my initial choice was for a day I can longer go to haha Would love to go to the Gorillaz day, but don't want to get a bus from West London
  8. There's one here that seems to allow multiple entries (or at least hasn't stopped me entering more than once?) https://one.luno.com/ "Bringing music and crypto together" 🤢🤮
  9. It was more this I had in mind - https://www.boomtownfair.co.uk/news/2020-10-07-ticket-updates/#:~:text=If you rolled your CH12,update you on your refund. They offered a partial refund to people who bought tickets in 2019 if they rolled their tickets over? Although if memory serves it was only about £30 or something?
  10. Yeah, I get the feeling that they weren't being entirely genuine when they said that. I get where they were coming from, but I imagine they released it this late because they knew it was a bit underwhelming and didn't want a flood of people selling their tickets.
  11. I have a vague recollection of the festival issuing a partial refund to people who bought tickets in 2019 to reflect the fact that 2022's edition of the fest was going to be a bit more scaled down?
  12. It's a bit annoying but I think the reason they've given is that it's more reliable than WiFi for payments (i.e. the WiFi the card machines need to access to facilitate successful payments). I remember at Reading last year, and Glastonbury this year, there were times when the WiFi was so bad that traders had to resort to cash payments, so I think it's more of a stability thing than anything else. Although I've not seen good things (maybe here or on Reddit) about trying to get leftover cash back once the weekend is over.
  13. I've seen this, although I think they've kept the original date of 13 Aug? I can only imagine it must have sold poorly or something? Although looks like they're still charging £60 for it on Dice!
  14. Assuming they don't release the info but would be interesting to see what % of tickets they've sold for the Tame Impala day so far. Defo going to be getting cheapo tickets for that bad boy.
  15. Maybe check Twickets or TicketSwap
  16. In terms of in-festival stuff there's almost literally bugger all except the silent discos, which are usually rammed.
  17. Do you have a source for this? As mentioned, it's very odd if this is true and wasn't mentioned in the marketing materials. I imagine the day's sold very badly so far being on a Thurs and with the tiny line up of miss-matched bands.
  18. I imagine King Gizzard will be there? I think they like the festival, and have said they have "big plans" for the UK next year. As ever, Aphex Twin would be nice, if unlikely, or at least not on the main poster. Black Country, New Road could be a shout with the new line up. Rina Sawayama would be wicked, and possibly likely as she has a new album out later this year/will likely be hitting the festival circuit

    The 1975

As previously mentioned, wouldn't their pledge to only play gender-balanced festivals put them out of contention for most (if not all) UK festivals next year? Quite a vague pledge but a quick Google provides their intended definition of "gender-balanced" - "festivals with a greater percentage of female and non-binary artists on the line-up". I love Glasto, but I can't imagine it conforming to that definition by 2023...
  20. Ah fair. Is odd she's not been asked to play 😞
  21. Might have been asked already but is Snail Mail in contention for one of the secret sets? She's in Bristol just before Glasto and had a big Glasto-sized hole in her schedule?

    Last day at work

Next Tues, but I've done bugger all the last day or so except check eFestivals and look at Clashfinder
  23. Does it get super busy there? Or is it a relatively well kept secret?
  24. I wonder if Burna Boy might end up being replaced on the line up, given the recent shooting in Lagos? https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/06/club-shooting-update-police-invite-burna-boy-for-interrogation/
  25. Hello all, a quick query about getting the coach from Victoria to the festival. My ticket is for the 1130 coach, but am I correct in thinking I could turn up a lot earlier and just get any coach pretty much? Or if I got to the front of the queue for, say, 0930 would they make me wait two hours for my allotted time? The reason I ask is last time I turned up 30 mins before my coach but then had to queue for about two hours, so thinking of turning up two hours early this time but don't want to get turned away!
