I’m not too sure, and I’m not denying Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar aren’t good headliners - they are - they’re just not for me.

Honestly those headliners do pretty much nothing for me, will probably see Macca but not overly excited. Same goes for the supposed other stage headliners. If anyone else is feeling the same then flip it into a positive as I’m doing, it’ll give me a hell of a lot more time to explore the site in the evening/night when it isn’t too busy!

Reading, have looked at hotels in the city centre, but I’m not actually sure how far of a walk it would be. Edit: Just as a side though, does anyone know if car parking passes can be used by people who aren’t camping? E.g. could I book a hotel and use the car park pass to park there each day?

Yea honestly based on all these posts I can’t see myself doing the full weekend again and camping, just doesn’t seem worth it, plus I’m getting older now (only 24!) That being said, has anyone who used to camp done the festival while staying in a hotel or something similar? I’m worried that the line-up will warrant a full ticket without me wanting to camp! I’ve stayed in a hotel with a day ticket once before, and it wasn’t too bad, but I really struggled getting a taxi when the day had finished.

Just about to post this. Been watching and they’re looked/sounded really not the best but didn’t expect this.

Myself and my partner are arriving at Glastonbury Friday evening, and have to leave Sunday evening (due to both being teachers!) I can’t remember where I camped the last time I went, but it was very loud, and I’m hoping to find somewhere (relatively) quiet and calm, due to it being a school weekend! We’d only need space for one pop-up tent for two people. Is there any campsites that would fit this criteria?

Was supposed to be going Reading, but just tested positive for COVID, so Glasto 2022 will be my next festival! Obviously gutted, but just hoping the same doesn’t happen at the end of June next year, just spent some time reading through this thread to get myself excited.

I’ve just tested positive for COVID, meaning I’m going to miss Reading. Absolutely gutted, but it is what it is, and honestly I was considering selling my ticket anyway just because of how ill I feel. Have placed my ticket (Weekend Reading ticket) on Ticketmaster resale in case anyone is looking.

Has anyone camped in white/brown in Reading before? I usually camp in orange but haven’t camped in a couple years, and I now want somewhere a lot quieter so I can get a good sleep. Are there many families camping in white/brown?

Ahhh I hadn’t considered this! If they were never on his website then I suppose it doesn’t mean much at all. Someone on here has also said his drummer has booked a show on the same day as Reading/Leeds, anyone have any more info on this?

Not necessarily, but coupled with the facts MGK has removed Reading and Leeds from his website, I think that pretty much confirms the validity of the claim.

Hoping we get a good replacement for MGK, they must have anticipating this sort of thing happening and had provisional back-ups, maybe? Also, this must put Post Malone at risk of having to cancel, if MGK has had to do the same? This is what I’ve been able to remember/gather from the internet: 2019 - Bullet for My Valentine, The Sherlocks 2018 - BMTH, Frank Carter 2017 - Wolf Alice, QOTSA 2016 - Slaves 2015 - Peace, Foals 2014 - Jamie T There’s bound to be more, and if anyone can remember anymore/correct me I’ll edit this post. Just looking at that, Frank Carter seems like it’s be a bit underwhelming (no disrespect meant!), given the stature of some of other acts from previous years (the only odd one out is The Sherlocks in terms of size of act imo).
