  1. Comparing to Coachella is never a good idea, but I would kill for a Despacio tent on the farm. Still never been to one.
  2. Insta saying IS SOME ONE maybe
  3. Back on the AFX rumour mill are we? Anyone remember the details of last year's rumours? IIRC he was booked but backed out? Really thought he'd do it last time, especially since he was active doing shows. Find it a bit harder to see him play the farm this year, unless he's does another summer of festival shows or does his own tour. Arcadia & Genosys I beg, update your stages. We've been waiting since Covid. I know & understand you've had your issues, but now's the time. I know some of you like that bus, but Levels beats it now imo. If they make another post "The Bus is Back" I might lose it. Not sure what the landscape will look like come Summer 24, but feels like Chase & Status have had quite the uptick this year. Dunno why but they're on my mind for the West Holts E&D night.
  4. Nº1 has to be SE Corner, Silver Hayes is good, but it's kind of far & not open as late, so if you go there, it's gonna be quite a trek at 3am if you wanna keep going. If 3am is your curtain close, then SH could be a shout. Or you don't mind another 30 min walk after your entire day. (plus your walk back) Arcadia is good to go to before SEC too imo, not as far. Arcadia is just one stage, so just gonna be one thing there, depending if that's what you want. Though I did find SEC much busier this year, even at 4am felt like crowds were not dying down much. & There are still other areas with E&D music though, Stonebridge bar, Greenpeace tree. Too much to choose from!
  5. The stages are pretty curated by the teams that run them. The Glade, The Temple & San Remo for example are three completely different vibes, but as you look through the clashfinder, you'll see that some DJs tend to play several times across the festival. Palmsy x Jobse was heaving, but I had a bit of a panic attack before I later realised, we should have just tried to push through where we would have found more space. The stage was new & I kind of panicked & just needed to get out. Some places do get very busy, but it can be quite hit & miss & hard to predict. Some places might seem chocka blocka, but you get one friend to go deep into the crowd to have a look & finds out there's some huge pockets of space near the front. You leave the stage a couple hours later, seeing people hanging near the back, holding their drinks by their faces because they're so squished together. Other times, it really is just that busy. D&B is popular but it's Techno/Electronica is probably the most common at Glasto imo. I'm not into D&B & have never run out of things to enjoy. Arcadia tends to have a curated mix of artists in a similar genre per night. Though one year I saw Kurupt FM > Four Tet > Calvin Harris there. So it's got everything happening tbh. Personally am yet to have the banger night I'm after at San Remo, the DJ names are there, but idk, that place, is never it, despite how much I keep giving it a go for a DJ I like. Best time I had in there was during the day when it was half empty.
  6. If this was around in previous years, no way it wouldn't leak one way or another. My biggest bet is some tech savvy folk noticed a flaw during Thursdays sale? Not sure if people were already using it by then. What this does show is that if SeeTickets cared (which I think they don't) an idea would be to limit tickets purchased to IP addresses, as 1 person buying 40+ tickets does not seem to be in the spirit of the festival or fair. Big groups would still have the advantage, but the person who gets through is "out" of trying for the rest, & the 5 people who had tickets bought for them, can now try for other groups. But I can already see the posts "Our IP got blocked & we didn't buy any tickets" drama if this tech was introduced I have no idea on this stuff, so probably a flawed idea
  7. Heard some neighbours screaming, not sure if Glasto related & then I got through. SeeTickets letting a few go through to South London it felt like.
  8. 11/17 I had the page for the last group but after entering all details went back to holding page Too much panic to figure out what link or try to go back
  9. Yeah I'm pretty sure they have a thing where those VIP tickets let you in earlier, which is insane. Poor Hagop Gate Times:Primary Entry / Luno VIP Garden / Luno VIP Garden + VIP Pit: 13:00General Admission gates: 14:00Last entry: 20:30Curfew: 23:00Age Restrictions: 18+*Timings are approximate and subject to change
  10. Sounds like Ladbrokes ballots have started going out for Field Day, if there are any spares are about, would be eternally grateful (as long as you don't need them)
  11. Really need another J2 2019 Terrible forecast. Rain in the morning. Clears up by 3:00. Lovely day, about 65% capacity. Heaven.
  12. Y-Room & Z-Room Jesus christ these people Even Inkwells had a more interesting name for a Room 2
  13. Interesting... I thought it was going to be the next season of shows at Beams, as I saw it on their page too.
  14. My friends family had this book in their bathroom, spent a fair time flicking through, reading bits. Gave me insight to a world we'd only hear his parents talk about at parties, "the good old days, real parties". https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hacienda-How-Not-Run-Club/dp/184739177X
  15. Yeah, did think there was a fair chance that scaffolding guy could have been unrelated. Considering he might have been on a ton of drugs, a small chance it was the same guy, after being coaxed down. I didn't hear about the wall death, perhaps not as well reported as technically might have not been "inside the festival" BBC Reported two, one being the Railway OD https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-66013637 The other being a crew member in their tent by The Park on Tuesday (post festival) https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-66052148\ Your wall guy would be nº3?
  16. 15 mins when empty (Thursday daytime), 25 with crowds (night time). Timed it this year.
  17. Whatever you do, keep Platform 23.
  18. Glasto Shirts onsale tonight at 7pm UK https://glastoagain.com/password Pass: tonythestriker
  19. Yeah one of our friend saw that too on her way back. Hard to tell, we looked up, saw an adult man up there & just kept walking, letting staff deal with the situation. Just the contrast of us about to have our best night, while that's also happening, hits hard. I know it's bound to happen & people pass every day, but ignorance is bliss.
  20. Never seen him before & was really glad I listened to the group & went for it. Watched the end of Leftfield to get a decent spot, not too close, but enough space to groove. Great crowd pleasers, was pretty far left, saw the inflatable crowd surfing action. Rita Ora, a splendid cherry on top, to make it feel a bit special too.
  21. Anyone think the T-Shirts will go on his site? Never managed to find an L 🥲
