  1. I go every year, I used to go to the Big Chill and when the festival moved to the Eastnor I had to see what they were doing with the space. I love the festival. Really friendly atmosphere, a nice size and usually have some great acts. This year is the first year I haven't liked the line up but i am still confident it will be a brilliant weekend. We book a pitch so we can park next to the tent and take far to much stuff with us, and because it is a nice relaxed festival it is the only festival i go to that actually feels like a holiday.

This was my first Latitude since 2015. I had a brilliant time. And as a festival there are some great things about it. Good line up, never feels too busy, friendly staff and other people. but a lot has gone changed since i last went and not all for the better. It is startling how much more corporate it is. It never used to feel quite as bad, but this year it all felt overwhelming. The toilets while always clean were too few and far between, especially in camping. And the camping was an absolute shambles. No organisation, not enough walkways though the campsites so no easy access in or out and a 30 minute walk to the arena from Green camping is bonkers. The chair brigade seems to have increased a lot and a few flag w*nkers starting to appear is always a bad sign. The things that the festival do well it does really well but I’m not sure the price hike is worth it. It would have to be a pretty special line up to get me back as there are many other festivals that do the good as well as they do.

The amount of room dedicated to camper-vans since I last went is unbelievable. It must have got even more ‘middle class’ lol

When did Lau.ra appear. That is rather exciting.
  7. Set a rule. No bigger than a piece of a3 paper and only one to a flag pole. This would at least stop the absolute w*nkers with massive and multiple flags.
  8. If unsure see the thing you aren't going to see again. I'm not much into McCartney but thought had better go as the chances of seeing a Beatle again were low. would rather have been at Roisin Murphy or Jamie T. Best decision I have ever made, one of my best ever Glastonbury experiences and I have seen Roisin since and I'm sure I will get a chance to see Jamie T (although they did both look great on iPlayer)

I have only been once before and that was back in 2015. If I remember correctly I went to Club De Fromage then too. That is rubbish if they do it every year, but has been long enough that I am looking forward to it. Usually I find at most festivals you are stuck with overcrowded dance areas for late night. I love dance music but I am a bit old to be doing it late for more than one night lol

    The Churnups Poll

Will be funny as hell when it turns out it is a competition winner actually called 'The Churnups' and the local pub band got lucky.

happy to see Panic Shack on the line up. Beetles Dub Club is always a whole lot of fun too.
  15. Freeze a couple of bags and they then work as ice packs in the cooler and are still cold on the Saturday and Sunday.
  16. Very little has changed since I saw him in Krakow in 2019, was an amazing show.

I have been avoiding the Glastonbury pages for similar reason. Rubbish seeing people getting stroppy even though they have the tickets I didn’t get. My Latitude acts I’m looking forward to are FRIDAY - Pulp, Metronomy, Yard Act, confidence man, Georgia SATURDAY - Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, Lightning Seeds, Young Fathers Sunday - James, Siouxsie, Bob Vylan.

that is good, hopefully I will be able to scramble between Metronomy and Yard Act. Although the Friday on both stages is full of stuff. going to be a good day.

That Friday on the main stage is going to be great. Bit disappointed with the Pulp/Yard Act clash. But clashes are inevitable.

so happy Pulp and Metronomy wont clash.
  22. I haven’t been for a good few years and I have forgotten what the walk from the car to the camping area is. I have bought a snazzy new tent but it is heavy as hell. It has wheels so I don’t mind a bit of a walk with it but don’t want it to be far.
  23. I haven’t tried this one in bad weather yet but my Quechua F&B 4XL has stood up to some awful weather. We camped once in such bad wind I thought the tent would struggle but it was fine. My mates Vango pole tent didn’t hold up so well and broke 2 poles. Had some pretty torrential rain at times without much issue. Certainly no more than anyone else’s tents we were with.
  24. I finally got the tent to put up the tent I got for Christmas, I had been after it for ages. the Quechua AIRSECONDS 4.2. I have had the 4XL that I use for festivals but really wanted a big tent for camping ocasions that doesn't require a 5 mile hike.
  25. It is all live music with a 10 piece band. Only the singing is pre recorded. It is an amazing show and when it is the band on stage and not the big screens of them you cant tell it isn't real. wouldn't work at a festival though. you would need to much control over the environment.
