  1. Urgh I feel horrendous. I’ve got a ticket but was trying for 1 friend and no joy. I can’t help but think if I’d gone for Thursday straight off it would have been different. Got as far as to press proceed and then crash.

  2. I can’t believe they haven’t sold out tbh and I also can’t believe we’ve not heard of someone winning a ticket yet (although I expect there could be people holding onto the tickets before registering them until after the resale?)

  3. I’m an absolute sucker for Barry Can’t Swim, and Ben Bohmer, and Jayda G. In fact there’s loads on here - what an amazing line up! And I am by no means a house music head at all.

Looking forward to discovering a few more

  4. Just came on to say Phoenix AND Hot Chip 💃💃💃. I mean I've seen them both loads but still YEY!

    But also:

This is only a fraction of the total lineup so based on that I'm delighted.

So far I have (people I'd like to see, won't do em all):

Elton and GnR, Lizzo, Blondie, Candi Staton, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ezra Collective, Hot Chip, Leftfield, Manics, Phoenix, Sparks, Texas, Lana del Ray, Thundercat, Sudan Archives, Young Fathers

    Great start!

all of the above (apart from GnR ha).

    GREAT line up!

    Moaners gonna moan 🙄

  5. Don’t know how I managed to get Sunday tickets at 10.04am this morning by the sounds of everyone else’s queuing nightmares but glad there are more dates now and a few others on here are able to go.
My bank balance is not happy but it’s Madonna right?
I wouldn’t be surprised if another date is added the way it is going

I'd highly recommend watching the BBC coverage if unlucky or not going. I didn't the first year I missed it as couldn't bear to, but this year I decided to dive in. I might have shed a few tears but it was lovely to somehow feel a part of it and we had a great little thread going as everyone flicked through the different feeds.

So reading through this thread I realise we’ve been to all the same Glastonbury's @Zoo Music Girl (started in 08 and missed 16 and 22), plus  watching 22 together on the tv/efests  - like kindred spirits!

  7. I had no idea who Fred Again was and @nikkic recommended his boiler set to me (thanks!) and I’m fully on board the Fred train. His music isn’t complex but it’s bl00dy catchy and I’ll be there watching him if there’s no bad clashes.

Back to headliners tho - there’s not a chance you’ll catch me at GnR but fully support them playing so I can go elsewhere with no FOMO

I often find middle ground. Apart from a few short years of my later teen / early adult life, where I mostly listened to Hip Hop and D&B, I've generally not cornered myself into one or two genres. I can listen to most artists / bands and find songs I like and songs I don't, without having to declare them shite, or my heroes.

Take your example, Ed, I've been to his shows, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Am I fan? No, my other half is. Do I think he's shit? No, he has songs I really like, and songs I just don't like. Looking at the divide album, Castle On The Hill was a song I really enjoyed, yet Shape Of You was a song I really did not like at all. I would never buy his merch or call myself an Ed fan, but I would go and see him again. I have a lot of respect and admiration for the way he performs live, with his loop pedals etc. I actually think he's one of the better live performers out there. Yet I could also think of 100 acts who aren't necessarily as good live that I'd rather go and see.

I guess that makes me boring and an outsider who doesn't belong anywhere. 😥😭

Nah this is me too so you’re not alone. There’s very few musicians I hate enough to get excited about it - struggling to think of one actually

  9. Posting on this forum can be a bit scary at times (for some people) because there are a few quite knowledgeable and/or opinionated people on here, so saying “imho” can be used as a tool to deflect or tone down a comment.

  10. I don’t think you can pigeonhole the Legends slot too much because by the very nature of the meaning of legend there aren’t a lot of them around and therefore it would be difficult for it to be filled with a true legend every year.

    Just my humble opinion.

I was pretty up for Roxy Music tbf.

    Gaga

Well, HOLY SH1T I’m almost crying just thinking of this as a possibility.

I’ve been dreaming of Gaga at Glastonbury for years now.

    Now that would be special.

She can then get the vibe of the Pyramid and return to headline in 2024.

    YES!!

I was going to suggest hey you could "sad astronaut" it, which is what someone does in the daft comedy "Rough Night", when they wear adult diapers to drive the length of the country, but bloody hell 40 hours!

I met some folks in New Orleans at Mardi Gras who drove nearly twenty hours from North Carolina, but I see why you're flying ✈️

    Sad astronaut??? Lordy.

Robbie and Spice Girls are a level of cheese I struggle a little bit to tolerate but I’ll be smashed and happy so bring it.
Having said that I think it’ll be neither of them. We really have no clue do we

I don't think liking or disliking AM is cool or uncool. If you like em, great. Always find it weird when people say it's snobbish not to like a band. I've always thought they're shit but very happy to go watch something else.

I caveat my confession with the fact that there isn’t much out there that I don’t like aside from heavy metal or heavier rock type stuff.

But you are right. We’re all cool here 😎

Did we get the answer to this? Old Black Pain Show? Gawd knows, I’m tired.

I really like AM. Does that make me really un-cool? I also love Mardy Bum. Maybe it reminds me of an easier time, when I wasn’t really an adult with loads of responsibility, dunno 🤷🏼‍♀️. Anyway what I’m hearing is they’re an absolute snooze fest live and although I don’t mind the new albums I don’t want to listen to them live, prefer them for a chilled evening at home. So s0d them. Elton on el pointio is enough for 1 festival.
