  1. Thanks guys, although unsuccessful in the coach resale 😭 Will be trying again today, last chance salloon. We live in Cumbria so will probably still drive down to Bristol and get a regular coach/shuttle to and from there.
  2. On a similar note, does anyone know where the coach pick up point in Bristol is? Assuming bus station but we've only done it from Brighton in the past.
  3. Our returns to Brighton 2015 and 2016 were around 7am.
  4. 2015 and 2016 it was morning - can't find the confirmations but it was about 8am if I remember rightly. We were pitched with a beer in hand by about 2.30pm.
  5. Yup, we had the same. It was close the end so assume there weren't enough seats on the coach or something. Fuming doesn't even scratch the surface... Ah well, Sunday it is - although we run a B&B so will be booting people out from breakfast early!
  6. I have a 10 digit and my boyfriend has 9 - we've used these reg numbers twice before. Don't worry!

    Coach travel

Depends where you travel from. Some have a choice. We didn't from Brighton but we were all pitched and beer in hand by 2pm. They were pretty generous with luggage but some people still take the mick. Not allowed to take trolleys/wheelbarrows.

If they have a new post code they should update their registration, quickly! There's still time before the deadline.
  9. Hobo Jones - yes Power Ballad Yoga - YES! Also try Lloyd Grossman's band on Thursday (The New Forbidden) - usually the first thing we see. They're actually pretty good but the best part is a small group of hardcore "fans" singing "We love Lloyd's pasta sauce" at the top of their lungs and throwing packets of it around. Do some crafts? Spoon carving was cool.
  10. I don't remember seeing kids on the coaches from Brighton but don't see why not. It was a nice friendly environment with a mix of people. Probably best to try and sit at the front away from the melee at the back though! I guess when you book there's a question about children under ticket age. The ticket and coach are booked as a package on a separate day to normal tickets so I would think just check the box for however many kids and away you go!
  11. You will lose an admin fee of £20 if you change your mind but I'm not sure it will actually allow you to buy tickets for the same person twice as you have to give each person's reg number and postcode when booking. Get a group call going on WhatsApp or something so you are all in contact throughout. We get the coach package and can definitely recommend. So much easier than driving and straight to the gate! You have to pay the full price of the coach ticket when you book. So £50 ticket deposit and around £50 for the return coach ticket (depending where you go from). Good luck! Best advice is get everyone on a couple of devices each but not multiple tabs. Keep refreshing but stay calm - you don't want to accidentally refresh the booking page if you get through!
  12. New to the forum but looking forward to some Glasto chat in the lead up and beyond! Fingers crossed for ticket day - this will be number 3 for us and will be bringing the mother in law for her 2nd (hopefully better weather than 2016's mudfest...)
  13. Apparently they've been doing it since at least 2013, which makes it stranger that there's so little online about them. We usually get the coach package and camp up in Hitchen Hill so used to a bit of a trek but after the mud of 2016 we were tempted to bring the car and have a little bit of comfort. Not sure we would want to bring the car on site though and Pillow lets you have it next to the tent. Still, it's about an hour to Hitchen Hill from the furthest point and would be longer to Ashcombe, plus no idea how well lit the route is after dark. We might just go with what we know and pitch our own after all!
  14. Has anyone used "Pillow" pre-pitched camping for Glasto? Have been struggling to find ANY reviews! Even their FB page doesn't have a review tab and virtually no user comments. Makes me suspicious. Basically, is it really a 15 min walk to gate D? Are the tents decent or are they gross and smelly? Is there a hot food van on the site? It's the cheapest pre-pitched we can see so wondering what the catch is...
