I'm still none the wiser who Wizkid's demographics are tbh. Young? LGBT? Non-radio listeners? Do none of these people use Clashfinder? Surely, those demographics have highlighted other acts on the Clashfinder as well. Anyway, I still think it's pretty amazing that his show is highlighted barely at all out of the "Big Six" from the Pyr. and Other headliners. Lana has a whopping 31% (more than Royal Blood and Lil Nas X - both around 23-25%). QOTSA as well with a decent 25% against Elton. I know it's just a good indicator and not gonna be like that 100% on the day what with people highlighting multiple headlienrs etc, but still surprises me that he's barely represented.

Not trying to start an argument over the stats, but who are Wizkid's demographic? Other acts with "young" audiences have got healthy highlights, e.g. Sudan Archives (14%), Lil Nas X (24%), Fred (51%). Even total randomers like Los Bitchos have 14%...

Sure, that's a possibility and it's not an exact science, but with Elton and AM so high, Fred on about 51, Churnups, Blondie, Lizzo all on very high scores, there does seem to be a trend of who is gonna be more popular than others.

If I went on a run it'd be just my luck that I pull a muscle or snap a tendon or something, miss two hours of the festival at the medical tent, and then have to hobble around like a hunchback for the rest of the festival. I respect everyone who does it - ya bloody maniacs! But for me, I'm out.

Also, WizKid isn't even on the bloody list of highlighted artists. Think he's gonna have a very VERY small Other Stage headline crowd.

I saw her on the Pyramid one year. Thought she was a good laugh. Had a decent crowd too. Up against AM and Hot Chip though, she's been dealt a tough hand. And she's going to do a lot better than WizKid on Other as well judging by the stats. He's not even on the list!

I was just checking out Royal Blood vs the Churnups and Arctics though. They're on about 25% compared to Foos' 52% and Arctic's 64%. Gonna be some big old bloody churn right there! Going from about 75k for Foos > down to half that for RB > back up to possibly 95k for the Arctics! I know it's not an exact science, but it shows how likely a mass exodus is. Fred looks like he's gonna suck up quite a few of those leaving Churnups. Young Father's not so much.

I think Kelis will be alright. She's done a lot of collabs and got a surprising amount of biggish hits to roll out. Milkshake, Trick Me, Bounce, Millionaire... throw in a cover and she'll be fine. Her 17% translates to about 26-30k of the festival depending on how many people are actually in attendance/not working, at that time. Not the biggest WH headliner, but not a bad showing at all.

This thread more divisive than any music discussion that's taken place on eFests ever 😆 We're looking at not too hot, not too cold weather. It's as close to perfect for everyone as we're gonna get.

It's not people who can't look after themselves though is it? It becomes as much of a slog as a muddy year. For all of the sunscreen you put on, that doesn't stop the heat existing. Everyone seeking out shade, alcohol becomes less appealing, everyone's tired - until early evening when the sun finally starts to go down and the party actually starts - and as a result of all that, the vibe is sh*t. Also - fwiw as you've blown it out of all proportion, the forecast from Accu I posted, isn't gonna leave the Farm in a mudbath anyway...

4 hours out of 24 ain't half bad. It'd dry out in half a day, and besides, could be at night when everyone's sleeping, and everyone's got a poncho or raincoat/wellies/boots... Should be fine! 😁

Accuweather pissing on everyone's chips with their latest forecast.* *But actually, it's not all bad. They're predicting for the "rainy" days: Wed - 1.5 hours of rain amounting a total of a pathetic 1.5 mm in total. Fri - 4 hour of rain amounting 7.7 mm. Sat - 2.5 hours of rain amounting to 3.7 mm of rain. Sun - 1.5 hours of rain amounting a totally pathetic 0.8 mm of rain. Rest of the time it's gonna be a very comfortable 20-23 degrees, sunny, with some cloud cover. So pretty diverse for lots of preferences.
