  1. If I had a choice, I'd prefer working in either the Park or West Holts. West Holts because I generally like the music there the most. The Park because it's just so chilled and friendly there.
  2. That's so true! I've definitely gotten out of my tent and gone for a drink before heading back to camp to gather my things for the day.
  3. Some of these mementos are excellent keepsakes. The best things I've bought have been clothes. I forget where I bought them, but my kids loved their tie-dye t-shirts from last year.
  4. Just to get back on topic, and I don't know if it's what you mean by "guitar" music, but the running order of PJ Harvey > LCD Soundsystem > IDLES as it appears in the Clashfinder would be my Friday evening pretty much 99% tied up.
  5. Yeah, same. But on a hot morning after baking in a tent all night, getting out in time for the milk trailer to come round, and smashing a pint of ice cold milk back was luuuuvvvllllyyy...
  6. Lots of love for Glade since their drop. But can the area handle much more than last year's crowds?! Remember every time I went last year it was so rammo you had sound bleed and crowd control everywhere.
  7. That's exactly how I found it. I was expecting (and also hoping, I suppose) that I'd have a relatively chilled walk back to wind down before bed. Something I found myself doing on the Friday and Saturday morning was having breakfast with earplugs on and keeping them in for an hour just to stop the background noise for at least an hour.
  8. Oh and the visuals behind the bands on the main stages have improved A LOT, lol.
  9. The biggest difference I noticed since my last time in 2017 to 2023 was how busy it was. I remember being able to find a quiet moment walking back from SEC to my tent at 3am, but in 2023 there were just people everywhere all the time. Even in the "quiet" fields like Green Futures, Healing Field etc. Other than that, it's pretty much the same, aside from some of the venues had made way for new ones. Oh, there's a Co-op now which is very handy if you can avoid the queues.
  10. Personally, I choose to embrace. Leading up to the festival I watch vlogs of the years I went, looking out for things acts I saw and reminisce. I've already watched a couple from last year, currently watching the GnR set. For the actual weekend I'll check in during the evening after the kids are in bed, crack open a couple of cans and catch up on highlights and then watch live. At the end of the day, you tried your best to be there, and it's gutting to miss out, but you know you'll (very likely) get to go again and it was out of your control that you missed out this year. You can avoid it too if that helps, but as others said, might just compound your misery even more.
  11. Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Camelphat, Groove Armada, Goldie, K Klass, Afriquoi, Nubiyan Twist, Yung Singh...
  12. I don't think I've ever forgotten who I actually saw, but I have seen sets and questioned my judgement to see who I actually saw. It's the bitterness of a clash when the one you plump for turns out to be average and the one you missed turned out to be brilliant.
