I arrive on site tomorrow and this weather forecast has not got me hopeful!
-
I volunteered with Oxfam last year and loved it. Sure,.the night shift on Wicket gate was long but we had fun. I got to enjoy the sold out festival, work with some fab people AND the charity benefited from the donation. It's a win for all.

I can see my little blue tent in this! I was facing the Pylon, meaning nobody was camped directly in front me. Bliss!

There is a board in the Oxfield where you put your info - then when someone agrees to swap, you head to the Oxbox and they complete it for you
-
No, it's pre-printed on an info sheet, so decided ahead of the event.
-
When you arrive and check in - be careful though, you'll have a bunch of people trying to see what shifts you have and see if they're the ones they desire! I got jumped on by a few people wanting my shift pattern!

I need to do something, last year I volunteered and struggled to get back from Ped Gate A -> Oxfam field, a 45 min walking route across the top end of the site, Pyramid field etc. Stopped and started multiple times, thought I was going to collapse! I physically could not walk any more! Here's to getting fit before the festival!

Would be great if P!nk dropped in on the Friday! I have tickets to see her at BST Hyde Park on the Sunday, as I did not realise it was Glasto Sunday!
-
I volunteered with Oxfam for the first time last year, and it was a wonderful experience. Worked on Ped Gate A on ticket checks for opening, saw Michael & Emily open up the gates, and had a full on eight hour shift! The second two were on Wickett gate right next door, welcoming in hospitality and celebs. Great experience too! I hope everyone that managed to get in has a FABULOUS time - you really will enjoy it! Just embrace every moment as if it's your last! PS: Arrive on Monday, it's lovely to be able to wander the site before the punters descend!
-
This is good to hear, glad you got in!

Well that was stressful. Didn't even get to see Glastonbury in the list before it said SOLD OUT. That and the fact I still do not have last years deposit back, despite emailing my proof of illness multiple times since August (I dropped out of another festival). Not that impressed.

Felt rough, heavy chest and horrible cough. Thick, bold line almost instantly.
-
The ground is lovely and solid, with plenty of lush green grass!
-
It's very real now - just a week away!
-
Not long left to go, until we enter a place of serenity, bliss and pleasure. The outdoor world can wait for a week!
-
This - I went to see ABBA Voyage on opening night in London, and the ticket was an E-Ticket QR Code via Ticketmaster. There was an option to pay £6 more per ticket for a Souvenir one that is sent after the event. Of course, I went for it. Waiting for it to arrive though...
-
Yeah I wouldn't do well with that sort of role - I want to be able to party too!
-
New Battery pack just arrived - should be good for the week now!
-
29 - never been to Glastonbury, this is my first year! I've always watched it on TV but always been eager to go as there is more than just the music. Finally making it happen!

Has anyone ever not received tickets before the festival

That is terrifying. How did they get news of your supposed death? More questions than answers with this one! -
Picked up my walking boots, and bedding them in! ✅ Got a new 60L Backpack for all my wares! ✅ Grabbed a Self Inflating Mat that rolls really rather small - hopefully it's enough for a good nights sleep! ✅

Emails can be altered ahead of the event, making them not so useful for E-Ticketing an event like Glastonbury that requires the buyer to be the attendee. It would take a vast overhaul of the ticketing system to make it work - so, scan the QR code and the persons photo comes up on the handheld device. It could work, but it's a huge change from what we currently have. It'd get rid of this worry of it not arriving, mind...
