  1. I believe taxis are no longer allowed to drop off people near the festival grounds. But don't know if that starts on Wednesday since there are no shuttles at that time.
  2. Plenty of non locals in the region that could catch a train or drive from The Netherlands, France, Germany at short notice. Dusseldorf is just a 2 hour drive and Paris less than 4. Out of the top 5 countries might just be a bit harder for those that are UK based. But expect them to focus on regional sales for day tickets regardless. Who is gonna travel more than a 10 hours and take 2 days off for a Werchter Thursday regardless. Not like it's the only festival out there.
  3. It can get pretty chilly at night, but the forecasts are great, so wouldn't worry too much about it this year. Just do the Michelin guy on the plane and wear a hoodie and jacket.
  4. Last year Decathlon had a tent package you could rent at Leuven station. Don't know if they'll repeat that this year, but might be worth contacting them https://www.hln.be/leuven/slaaptentje-huren-op-rock-werchter-dat-kan-vanaf-16-euro-per-dag-bij-decathlon-belgie-we-willen-festivalgangers-verantwoordelijkheidszin-bijbrengen~ad9942c7/
  5. Am actually old enough to remember they might drop a few names at the start of tickets sales, but it really didn't matter. You'd trust them to deliver so would buy tickets regardless. And It would sell out in a heartbeat. If they would have done so this year I bet it would still have sold out in a day or so. Like you say it's not so much about the line up while RW is.
  6. 65.0000 vs 88.000. Wouldn't call that much much smaller. Werchter does not sell 65.000 tickets in 15 minutes like Lowlands did. Not headline oriented and not just focussed on music. It has lots of music stages and a proper night line up, but also focusses on theatre, literature, science and art. Many people have been going for years and will buy tickets before the first names drop.
  7. Anyone else going? Got a cheap flight and a nice enough hotel, so couldn't resist. Will be great to visit a new city too.

  9. But that would be loyal fans or people that love the last 2 albums. Hope I'm wrong, but my guess it their set won't go down well with the general RW crowd who know a few of the older songs. At Lowlands they played just a few newer ones, but the old ones got a hint of crooner as well. Crowd at the front loved it, the rest not so much. And I reckon them more of an AM crowd than Werchter. Don't know if the new album is one for festivals. Maybe if it's sunny and they decide to keep the Apero open for takeaways.
  10. Not a festival big headliner festival and has focus on more than just music. Theatre, film, art, literature as well. Lot of stages. In one day you can see metal, followed by world music, followed by an orchestra on main, catch some punk and end with Billie. Plenty of people never make it to the main stage. And after midnight the dance crowd takes over. No day tickets, so you are all in it for 4 days. And a very loyal crowd.
  11. Normally I would agree, but with the inflation people who'd like to go simply might not have the funds this year.
  12. A Belgian festival catering to a Belgian crowd. Not my style, but plenty of our neighbors will be happy with this announcement.
  13. 3x Amsterdam Ziggo + 3 times Brussels...might be small in your book, but not in Belgium/Netherlands. Many people left after his show at Boutique and did not even stick around for Gorillaz.
  14. My guess is the 28th, based on previous years. But with Covid they might wait a little longer.
