  1. Trippier may be fit enough for the bench for Everton tomorrow. Initial instinct was Burn back at CB, where he was in his first 6/7 months, and Hall at left-back, though if all of Trippier, Krafth and Livramento are injured, it's a job to know who gets the right-back role. Murphy out of position was played there but he may be the only RW option as well, even moreso if Almiron is also out. It's turning into a thing where you fix problem only for another to appear. So it's being tricky to figure out. Presumably Everton may yet see our depleted ranks as a good chance to end their winless run. Either that or they'll just continue to be terrible goalscorers as they have been all season.
  2. I've met people who made it sound amazing. But yeah, my interest in it was higher in the days where the line-ups were more to my taste. Same with Werchter.
  3. It was quite something to listen to the recorded version, which is quite sparse and folksy, then they regularly play live this version which is very intense.

    2025 Headliners

Guess nobody is willing to do a lame April Fool's gag saying that somebody totally random and weird will be doing the 2025 headline slot.
  5. I thought that would be the case tbf as I imagine plenty of people would be trying to see most of the big names at once, not least in the case of Pulp & The National. I guess the hesitation is more that I don't really know any of the undercard on their day.
  6. The Man City-Arsenal game yesterday was flat but it was interesting, given there's a definite evolution by Arsenal as they usually get pummelled at the Etihad so taking 4 points from their meetings with City is an improvement on the side. Man City seem to have made errors in player recruitment last season so I'm not convinced their squad is stronger than last season's, but they still have super talents capable of winning every game remaining and prizing the title. But it will be an interesting one. Arsenal and Liverpool have marginally more difficult fixtures on paper imo.
  7. I was excited to see Harvey Barnes so was frustrated by his injury problems, but he's already got himself some huge goodwill for that and I think he'll be eager to get it done. Injuries is perhaps the other factor elsewhere, mind. Losing both Lascelles and Botman to ACL injuries in quick succession is a massive pain in the arse, plus Krafth, Manquillo and Trippier all being unavailable means the defence is now like the midfield in being cut to the bone. Though Lewis Hall's cameo should be a sign that Howe should give him more of a go.
  8. Irony is having Vaccines as a support makes me more interested than if this was KoL standalone.
  9. There once was a time when I thought Sziget would be worth a week trip to Budapest and cross it off a musical bucket list. Think I can say that time has gone.
  10. They lost momentum with Tonight, which is a shame as I think it's a very strong album but had development hell and by 2009, they seemed to have been overtaken by others. Saying that I had great fun seeing them at Ally Pally a year and a half ago, so they still have something about them worth seeing.
  11. Maybe one day we'll win games 1-0. But given with 15 to go, we were 3-1 down to West Ham having lost 4 players to injury and looking like the season was over, I'll take a win abso-f**king-lutely.
  12. At the risk of sounding like an idiot, the idea will be that Pulp and The National on the Saturday will play in timeslots that you can see both, right? Just curious as the idea of dropping in for their day appeals.
  13. Wonder if he'll get more votes than Joe Exotic.
  14. Ah hang on is this relating to Glastonbury? Because he is in Finland on the 28th June and France on 30th July, but as far as this MK event goes, there's nothing in the immediate days either side. If so, yeah, I don't think he'll be turning up at the Eavis farm.
  15. Well he's literally on the poster as doing it. Would be a bold move to back out now.
  16. Agreed. Maybe the 2016 dates were ambitious, but I imagine there'll be demand of some level. If perhaps more arena than stadium, but maybe big enough to do a stadium date or two.
  17. Would be bold to announce an outdoor stadium show in London in October tbf.
  18. It would have to have been announced by now if she's doing stadium shows this summer. September could be possible, and has been done before, but it seems unlikely. It could well be that arenas might follow in October and be being held back until after the Glastonbury show.
  19. It's kinda remarkable how quickly it went down as well. Max said the car felt alright on the formation lap, then on lap one, one of his brakes got stuck and it just got worse & worse until the car went bang. I think Hamilton was on his way to points until his Merc went pop, and given Russell had a DNF late on - Alonso interference or otherwise, depending on who you believe - it means 4th but barely ahead of Aston rather than challenging Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren. Given how dominant Merc were in the 2010s, it's crazy how much they're having bother in this era. The driver market is interesting too. I think we'll start to see more movement closer to the summer break but there's a lot of things in play and a few things looking more in flux. Pre-season, for instance, the narrative was Ricciardo to Red Bull, but I don't think that's going to happen based on his poor first 3 races of 2024. Opens the door wide as I'm not convinced they believe in giving Yuki a promotion either.
  20. It's going to give tomorrow a bit of a reserve team look imo. Already having to do something different without Kane & Saka, plus Southgate's best boy Henderson is still absent. Though it is quite something how we seem to have gone from having all of the right-backs to very few with Walker out. Already a bit awkward given Chilwell's lack of fitness on the left has been very apparent.
  21. To anyone trying for tickets, we say... good luck? Does this mean any idea of her doing big stadium shows is likelier for next year?
  22. Would've been something tbf if that had been Cypress Hill's very next act after that Simpsons episode. 30 year anniversary is fun too though.
  23. Only just reminded thanks to this that it was played in my Ally Pally setlist. Maybe it slipped my mind because it was in-between Abel and Mistaken for Strangers, which were high on the list of things I was hoping to see.
  24. Does this mean the Pyramid Stage will also be facing 115 FFP charges?
  25. Guessing you didn't think it would be that quick for that bet to be written off. Naturally slept through the race and it's the first time in 2 years Max fails to finish, Sainz has another win to add to his CV - and impressive given his less-than-ideal surgery-induced prep - Mercedes have a first double DNF in a very long time, Haas getting double points, Sauber again taking forever to do pit-stops and Alonso getting in trouble. Maybe not an all-action all-chaos party, but plenty to talk about. Indeed, maybe I should sleep through Japan & China as well if it guarantees more drama. I enjoyed this opportunistic Tweet from Alpine...
