  1. Wonder if he'll get more votes than Joe Exotic.
  2. Ah hang on is this relating to Glastonbury? Because he is in Finland on the 28th June and France on 30th July, but as far as this MK event goes, there's nothing in the immediate days either side. If so, yeah, I don't think he'll be turning up at the Eavis farm.
  3. Well he's literally on the poster as doing it. Would be a bold move to back out now.
  4. Agreed. Maybe the 2016 dates were ambitious, but I imagine there'll be demand of some level. If perhaps more arena than stadium, but maybe big enough to do a stadium date or two.
  5. Would be bold to announce an outdoor stadium show in London in October tbf.
  6. It would have to have been announced by now if she's doing stadium shows this summer. September could be possible, and has been done before, but it seems unlikely. It could well be that arenas might follow in October and be being held back until after the Glastonbury show.
  7. It's kinda remarkable how quickly it went down as well. Max said the car felt alright on the formation lap, then on lap one, one of his brakes got stuck and it just got worse & worse until the car went bang. I think Hamilton was on his way to points until his Merc went pop, and given Russell had a DNF late on - Alonso interference or otherwise, depending on who you believe - it means 4th but barely ahead of Aston rather than challenging Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren. Given how dominant Merc were in the 2010s, it's crazy how much they're having bother in this era. The driver market is interesting too. I think we'll start to see more movement closer to the summer break but there's a lot of things in play and a few things looking more in flux. Pre-season, for instance, the narrative was Ricciardo to Red Bull, but I don't think that's going to happen based on his poor first 3 races of 2024. Opens the door wide as I'm not convinced they believe in giving Yuki a promotion either.
  8. It's going to give tomorrow a bit of a reserve team look imo. Already having to do something different without Kane & Saka, plus Southgate's best boy Henderson is still absent. Though it is quite something how we seem to have gone from having all of the right-backs to very few with Walker out. Already a bit awkward given Chilwell's lack of fitness on the left has been very apparent.
  9. To anyone trying for tickets, we say... good luck? Does this mean any idea of her doing big stadium shows is likelier for next year?
  10. Would've been something tbf if that had been Cypress Hill's very next act after that Simpsons episode. 30 year anniversary is fun too though.
  11. Only just reminded thanks to this that it was played in my Ally Pally setlist. Maybe it slipped my mind because it was in-between Abel and Mistaken for Strangers, which were high on the list of things I was hoping to see.
  12. Does this mean the Pyramid Stage will also be facing 115 FFP charges?
  13. Guessing you didn't think it would be that quick for that bet to be written off. Naturally slept through the race and it's the first time in 2 years Max fails to finish, Sainz has another win to add to his CV - and impressive given his less-than-ideal surgery-induced prep - Mercedes have a first double DNF in a very long time, Haas getting double points, Sauber again taking forever to do pit-stops and Alonso getting in trouble. Maybe not an all-action all-chaos party, but plenty to talk about. Indeed, maybe I should sleep through Japan & China as well if it guarantees more drama. I enjoyed this opportunistic Tweet from Alpine...
  14. Breakfast raving sounds about right for a festival in fairness.
  15. As has been said before, this is a more complex case than just breaking an arbitrary limit set by the Premier League so much as it touches on potential fraudulent accounting, which is a much more complex case to decipher and would need rock-solid evidence. As a result, this is going to take a lot more time to figure out. Much as I'm aware the racking up of clubs breaking FFP is starting to hurt that argument.
  16. Presumably they've gone back to going on that Southgate should be fired before Euro 2024, or at least that's for reactionaries on Twitter to go on about.
  17. I wonder if Olivia Rodrigo might do Reading first. But then who knows. Depends on what the touring landscape is next year, or indeed, if she decides to go write and record some new stuff instead.
  18. Tbf one of the best vibes I had from a weekend at Truck Festival was when they had an orchestra first thing on Saturday morning playing movie scores. So they could do a lot worse than that, or at least a gospel choir doing similar stuff.
  19. I remember they once had Arctic Monkeys as an on-the-day announced opening act back in 2011, so a big name is theoretically possible. Practically/budgetary, that's another matter.
  20. How long does it take for this lot to announce some of the extra support acts? Weighing up if I could go to the Kings of Leon show with a few more interesting names on the bill below.
  21. Well I don't want to blame it all on the pandemic but it certainly didn't help.
  22. I'm bemused that this was even a link to begin with.
  23. I mean, I'm aware there's a bit of a rabbit hole to go down with all of this and essentially treating FFP like the way cycling kicked out Lance Armstrong or Serie A threw out Juventus and docked them of a pair of titles. Leicester's situation seems to have all got a bit wild, mind, given the EFL gave them a transfer embargo and the club have taken it well...
  24. Only in her early 40s as well. That's some pretty rough news. I know she'll get great treatment and if they've caught it early, that helps with survival rates, but still.
  25. I'm now an O2 customer having been with EE for all my phone-owning life and have noted the signal seems a bit more erratic. And yet, here I am on their network. EE getting rid of free data roaming in the EU and an O2 contract for the phone I wanted being £15 a month cheaper helped me make the shift, which is a curio as I was happy with EE until finding both of these out.
