How many more headliners will there be for this too?

How do you get free tickets for this event?

As a jungle fan, they are going to really struggle to push tickets for this.

Macklemore is in France the day before so maybe they are allowing extra time for him to travel in case of any delays? Lorde hasn’t got any dates announced the day before so maybe they thought that would be less time pressure that way round. Although it’s still not clear to me why they then couldn’t have adapted the set times and given lorde 1hr30 and Macklemore 1hr15 afterwards anyway. I only really remember him coming on for an hour in 2019.

Agreed. It’s clear she’s the main headliner for that day and that makes perfect sense as well. Is it possible they have just made a mistake regarding set times? Although they have posted it on Facebook and Instagram. I’m still struggling to get my ahead around how she doesn’t have the closing set.

But then why is he playing in the last slot? I just checked the instagram story and he’s definitely got a 90 minute slot at 21:15 and Lorde is playing before him with 75 minutes. The other way round would have been far more preferable to allow Lorde to do her full show…

I saw Macklemore at Sziget in 2019. It was great fun and it was still during the daylight (coheadline with the national was it?) . For me, Lorde is a closing act and she should have the last slot- the other way round would be a bit disappointing.

Agreed. That's ruined it for me. She should have been the closing act... That means Lorde will only get 75 minutes and Macklemore will get 90. I didn't realise Macklemore had enough songs to fill a 90minute show..

i might be the only one here, but I don’t find the headliners at all bad. If they had switched out David Guetta for martin garrix and Mumford & sons for a different band (the strokes) then for me that would have been the perfect set for me.

I think what is very striking is how different the reaction would have been if they hadn’t announced Mumford & sons and instead a different rock band… Or according to Instagram if they’d booked the weekend that would have been much better received…

Feel this as well. The sunday actually has a really good A38 line up but then the Monday and Tuesday have poor A38 line ups but the main stage is much better. It’s odd that Diplo is being listed as the second biggest name under Mumford & Sons. I’m surprised they haven’t got a bigger sub for the main stage (unless it’s coming last minute like Macklemore got added last minute in 2019)- but unlikely. I do have to think twice about whether I want to go this year. The ticket prices are quite expensive, even for 3 days it’s €240.

Isn’t Arlo Parks the sub?

The undercard is definitely weaker than it was in previous years… obviously I’m a big Lorde fan so I personally see her as a good headliner but I was expecting to see more names I knew on the undercard be announced.

The thing I don’t understand is why is the first day so heavy loaded: Florence, Sam fender, bonobo, & foals. Towards the end of the festival the undercard starts to get weaker and weaker.

Mumford & sons is not surprising. And we were already expecting Lorde/Macklemore. all in all it’s a solid line up. Just Mumford & sons aren’t to my taste!

Could it be paramore then? I mean it’s a long shot but is there a chance they could be announcing some shows on Tuesday? The killers & strokes & placebo already have shows signed this summer, so I don’t get why that would be held back. In my eyes Royal Blood are a sub. They are headlining truck festival with two door cinema and alt j, none of which would be big enough to headline sziget

I imagine first Aid Kit would be 3rd down main stage. we also have a sub headliner for Billie to be announced and a headliner and sub for the ‘rock day’, but all the festival itself atm seems to be hinting towards is Lorde… which brings the question of is this the biggest name they are announcing?

I think it’s one of those things where she’s bigger than a sub but not big enough to headline outright. If they partner her up with Macklemore, like they partnered the national up with them in 2019, then it will be viewed as a strong enough headline.

This is what concerns me… we’ve had so many hints for lorde but none for the second headliner. so either it’s going to be spectacular… or the second headliner is a total flop and therefore they are not hinting it…

Pretty sure she’s headlining. I reckon Macklemore will be her ‘co-headliner’.

First aid kit would be amazing

I can’t imagine we won’t have a rock headliner… but Paramore as a festival exclusive would be amazing… but surely a bit of a stretch too far? Avril Lavigne would equally be great… but seems unlikely i think the killers or the strokes are the most likely, as they are playing other festivals. I’m expecting: lorde/Macklemore/the killers/ Mumford & sons(co-headline/sub), girl in red. Maybe Tove Lo will come too?

Based on the previous history of Sziget, we know they often share names with R&L and they are this year- could we therefore get the Killers as the final headliner (sorry if this has already been discussed). If the 🦁 = Mumford & sons, I’d personally have them second down under imagine dragons. Given victorious have them as a headliner it would be (in my opinion) a weak booking if they were headlining. The first day of the festival is very strong already so I don’t think we will get much extra added to this but the second half there is a lot of potential. What I think it could look like in a best case scenario (for headliners/coheadliners) 10th: Florence 11th: Imagine dragons/ Mumford & sons 12th: David Guetta 13th: The Killers 14th: Lorde/ Macklemore 15th: Billie Eilish that would give us 2 days with co-headliners like in 2019. The only thing really missing is a rapper, who I assume will be under Billie Eilish (but I don’t know my rappers very well)
