  1. Wishlist (within the realms of possibility): Sharon Van Etten, The National, Stereolab, The Beths, IDLES, Anna Von Hausswolff, Julia Holter, Mount Eerie, Bridget St John and Sleater Kinney.

Prediction (excluding Steve Mason, Anais Mitchell and Pictish Trail as he plays every year): IDLES, Marissa Nadler, Pigs x7, The Beths, Phosphorescent, Jessica Pratt, Pond, Mitski, TVAM and Ezra Furman.

    That was me ?

Maybe they wouldn't hint so obviously if they were a main stage headliner? Could be in the tent? But definitely a strong band to have on the line up.

    Nice!

Perhaps not. I think they'd be perfect headlining the Far Out tent/Thursday night headliner but don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility for them to headline despite them being a lot "heavier" than your average Green Man headliner.

It comes from a twitter reply the fest made to someone asking about the line up where they wrote "hopefully it will be JOY ous".

And this is coming from a fest that are quite forthcoming when it comes to saying who won't be playing (e.g. this year they've said Courtney Barnett, Spiritualised and Parquet Courts won't be there).

Would love Sleater Kinney (and Bikini Kill and Ex Hex).

I can imagine The Lemonheads at Green Man. Less than 2 weeks to go!

Yes, Sleater-Kinney would be fantastic. Subbing Sharon Van Etten would be cool.

  5. Now hoping for IDLES, Sharon Van Etten and The National as headliners.

If 5 of the following appear somewhere i'll be incredibly happy: Stereolab, Duster, Julia Holter, Beach House, Mitski, Deerhunter, Car Seat Headrest, U.S Girls, Bridget St John, Tomberlin, Tizrah, Perfume Genius, Phosphorescent, Ezra Furman, Sunflower Bean, Beach Bunny, The Beths, Boygenius, Hatchie, Miya Folick, Anna Von Hausswolff, Virginia Wing, Ovlov, Adrianne Lenker.

must admit the new location is a bit off a ball ache. Gonna have to crash at a friends' unlike the other years where I've always just about managed to get the last train to Brighton/Southampton. Anyone else remember the madness after 2017 due to the London Bridge attack. Was proper grim that, dont think I'll ever forget it.

Yeah that wasn't great. Wasn't in the right frame of mind to deal with all of that having just had my ears blown off by Aphex Twin.

    Here's a (perhaps) overly optimistic (though the did say it's their "biggest line-up ever") guess for the lineup;

    James Blake
    Courtney Barnett - Stereolab
    Steven Malkmus - SOPHIE
    Homeshake - Cate Le Bon

    FKA Twigs or Robyn *
    Jarvis - Hot Chip
    Dirty Projectors - Empress of
    Fucked up - Lucy Dacus

    After-party: MODESELEKTOR / DIXON

    * (not sure Missy Elliot will actually play this, but think they'll get a great female headliner)

if Stereolab and SOPHIE are there, so will I!

Courtney Barnett would fit pretty well, though admittedly that's probably not the most exciting trio. Beach House would be ideal.

Judging by some of their latest tweets it seems Courtney Barnett won't be there, same with Spiritualized.

Yeah absolutely, which is why I hadn't listed them as an act that was particularly exciting, what they did have on that day was a really well curated set of acts on the other stages. I will probably end up at the Bon Iver day and depending on who plays on the Saturday of the first weekend, on that day too. Appreciate they can only book who is available, having had such a good start to things last year, just feels like it's a had lesser impact this time around.

Agreed that it does feel like it's had a lesser impact. But for me at least that's probably down to personal taste (Bjork, LCD and NIck Cave are some of my favourite artists/bands ever).

For me, the undercard on the Bon Iver day is better than any of the undercards from last year.
