  1. From FB: Early birds till 1.9., first headliner "soon". QOTSA were announced in September in 2018 if i remember correctly
  2. Great list, will use your list as suggestion what to listen & explore more 🙂 I've been listening for the last half of the year music from fests and concerts I was about to visit, and now it's the time of the year when I'm lacking inspiration on what to listen the most. I always need some time to "recover" to listen again an artists i just saw and all playlists and suggestions are full of these.
  3. Expecting lineup on around same level. Hoping for strong undercards. "worst lineup ever" will be the most popular comment on social media, yet it's going to sell well after a positive impression this year. Olivia Rodrigo - One Republic - Kygo - 21pilots - QOTSA - Tyler, the creator - Lana Del Rey
  4. Too early for Dua? New album next year and i guess solo arena tour then...i would say 2025:) According to their insta story, "webshop is on fire". I bet its better than last year
  5. From Hungarian daily news: "Concerning next year’s event, Kádár said organisers aimed to sell more full festival passes than day tickets". I guess that is the answer why they lowered the early birds. Full festival visitors are the foundation, they eat and drink inside, visit all stages and sponsor stages and booths, spread all around the island etc. Daily tickets depend way more on the weather, on a single headliner, many are there for one artist and often just go camping to the main stage without spending serious inside. Not a single day was sold out this year so maybe this was an alarm to organizers.
  6. The main organiser of the Sziget Festival has expressed satisfaction with this year's attendance of some 420,000 festival-goers, despite it falling short of last year's figures by around 30,000. Considering 2022 had visitors from the cancelled 2020 edition this might be OK. And after all the bad reviews and experiences from last year, many decided not to come back. About 2023: After a bittersweet experience last year, I had great time this year. Perfect weather and no dust + better organization. + New toilets are on another level Decorations Things like secret party, party bus, water points around the island etc. It was clean. kudos to all stuff collecting trash all the time Many small improvements, production upgrades .. Almost no artist cancellations, less queues at bars and entrance Better timelines, many unofficial stages, like a huge Coca Cola stage across the main stage ...resulted as the audience was more spread out across the island, not stuck at the main stage like last year. - The prices. It is getting expensive even for western europe countries. The 30% price rise per year has to stop somehow or the festival will be interesting to less and less markets. It seemed already this year that foreign visitors were in the majority from Netherlands and UK and like several individuals from other countries. I'm caricaturing a bit, but if it continues in this direction, it won't work in the long term. And you need locals, you need local support. The 25% inflation in Hungary doesn't help with the prices, I know:/ The K-Bridge and exit on friday. An hour queue just to exit. Ok no problem, but what if something happens, like fire? The bridge is also in a bad condition so they don't let more people on it at once. Upgrade much needed. New Europe stage place is spacious, but very marginal. Some strong names there that could be at freedome as well played in front of a relatively small crowd. It was probably meant to relieve crowd from center of the island but you simply don't pass by there and stop if it's interesting. Maybe it was still better that way, but often some random dude at Global village played in front of more people 😄 a few more observations: - Crowd seems to be more laid back and chill compared to last year, at least from my experiences. - IMO lineup was at around the same level as 2022, It just comes down to a matter of personal taste which is better. - In general the concerts were actually good, hardly any disappointments. More positive surprises.
  7. Will write more about it in 2023 thread, just quick answer to you: Yes. Things were better, weather was also perfect. And i feel most of us who attended both editions feels the same about it. Edit: Interesting that the 2024 is cheaper than it was for 2023
  8. Nothing against her, but we have M83 and NBT that are arguably bigger on second stage... A bit weird.
  9. How did Arlo Parks get to play second down on Main stage? It's empty
  10. Will drop you a hint in pm so i don't spoil it for everyone. Yesterday's queue at the exit 😵‍💫
  11. Found it 🙂 The look on the faces of people next to it is pure gold
  12. Edit: Terrible crowd. No one around me cares about what is happening on stage, just talking and photos
  13. Main stage feels so empty, arrived 5 minutes before Fender and I'm closer to the stage than most of the times last year or overlapping with the rest of the stages is so much better
  14. A few hundreds meters long queue right now at Aquarium
  15. Agree, even highways are closed. Metaldays and Castle festival got cancelled tonight, all sports this weekend etc. PRH will be fine since the west side was luckier with the weather.
  16. Do we know if there will be any production changes/upgrades? They advertise the Colosseum as "Your favourite venue just got bigger, better and bolder", but they could talk about the lineup. At least decorations are coming back.
  17. Likelihood. But it will make M&S field even more empty. That day is so weird, Tom Grennan at 4pm? When was Sziget passport leaked last year ?
  18. Foals - Fender - Florence Yungblud - Imagine Dragons Niall - Guetta (from far back) - Two feet. Day for other stuff such as circus.. AJR - Baby queen - Mumford (i guess) - NBT- M83 Giant Rooks - Lorde - Macklemore- Confidence Man for grande finale Leaving home on day 6. Will also try to catch: Easy life, Caroline, Frank Carter, Amyl, TroyBoi, Amber run, M. Byrd, Stain The Canvas, Call me karizma, TV Girl Worst clashes: Viagra boys- Florence, Amyl- Macklemore //So they moved M83 from late night to 20.45 and clash them with Mumford? Goddamn
  19. Healthy to meet Margot Robbie or healthy for a full tour may not be the same thing 😸 Just kidding. What is the deal with System of a Down right now, anything on the horizont?
  20. Primavera, but it's getting expensive. Sziget in Budapest, but lineup is nowhere as good as MC. BBK bilbao as smaller option maybe.
  21. How were Mumford & sons? Just bad or not that bad? 😀
  22. And 1EUR was around 400HUF last year at the time, so it was just over 3€. But like @bunnyv said, Sziget will have Dreher and i'm expecting to be cheaper than Heineken
