  1. There are going to be a lot of older "I've seen some shit since then" faces going through the gates this year. I suspect the chances of blagging it on someone else's ticket will be better, but it will all come down to how confident you are.
  2. Has anyone just taken an actual mattress? Someone must've done it.
  3. Two weeks today we'll be on our way! They did change our flight though for a later one, meaning we'll have a longer layover in Toronto. Good thing we get lounge access for free booze (and have an aisle seat on the long hauler!)
  4. When I flew back to the US from Berlin, I just went and got a $15 antigen 'results in 20 minutes' from an official testing place (they administered it) and used the emailed results to show negative. As long as the email shows the five requirements (name of testing place, type of test, result, I can't remember the others but it's pretty basic stuff) you are good. The whole $$$ "FlySafe" marketing bs is just to scare you into getting the more expensive ones. Flight agents just want to see you tested negative with an antigen performed by a legit center. Edit: Found it: Type of test (indicating it is a NAAT or antigen test) Entity issuing the result (e.g., laboratory, healthcare entity, or telehealth service) Sample collection date A negative test result must show the sample was taken no more than 1 day before the flight. A positive test result for documentation of recovery from COVID-19 must show the sample was taken within the 90 days before the flight. Information that identifies the person (full name plus at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number) Test result https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html
  5. Do you have a contingency plan for if someone does use it as a toilet? Looks awesome BTW - is it a ticketed thing?
  6. I don't tell many people this but I kinda like it when it goes all the way up there.
  7. Broke my wrist. Whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooops. Then got a tipi. So, not a terrible week overall.
  8. There were rumors that these regulations were going to be dropped in the next few weeks. Honestly though, I've done this a couple of times now, and I don't think they go very far up the nose on purpose - they don't want your covid ass stuck in their country.
  9. We got a TP, we got a TP, we gotta TP,! Using voice to text because I broke my wrist, so this TP is very much needed because fuck putting up a tent with one arm

    Arcadia?

Over in our Bonnaroo fest discord you can't say C*lvin H*rris without getting told off by a bot.
  11. Am flying to Berlin this weekend and all I need is to upload my proof of vaccine (KLM).
  12. Will any of yous be in London the Tuesday night before Glasto? We've got the coach package leaving 9am, might be fun to meet up for dinner or something before stepping beyond the default world.
  13. Q: We are staying in Shepton Mallet on Monday night after the festival, can regular campers get the bus to Bath and West? That would make the journey to our accommodation only a short walk.
  14. Yeah I want this, not the Slough-lookin one.
  15. I feel that. I am just excited to watch my husband's very excitable sister react to the Glastonbury excitement. I can see it now, we're sat on the coach and she's going to be squealing over everything we pass on the motorway. She's going to lose her shit as we drive up to the fest, she might actually cry. Hell, I might actually cry too.
  16. Has anyone here been watching America Song Contest? It's not as awful as we were expecting. It's very Americanized, and they proper botched the voting, but you can tell its got the right heart, and the right balance of absolute guff silly entries vs states that took it too seriously. And Kelly Clarkson seems fun, I bet she'd be a good tequila drinking buddy.
  17. I appreciate you taking the time to explain this. I now understand, am invested, and feel that I am pro spider.
  18. I've not been to Glasto since 2007 - can someone give me a summary of what all this spider business is about please? Are we happy there's gonna be a spider or do we want the spider to leave the premises?
  19. It's looking good! We're gonna eat at All The Vendors so no meal prep needed. Probably just gonna fill my backpack pockets with peperamis for those emergency snack moments, and then stop by your camp for some pizza... 😇
  20. I'll preface this by saying there are 7 of us, 3 of whom are flying in from America. So it's a whole three week affair with flights and car rentals and various family members to go visit. The menus: I'm still fairly new to using Notion but I think I've done well. There are two databases, events and expenses, which can be linked together to keep track of costs. The map uses the coords from the Google Maps link to plot our adventures on an interactive map. I'm a little obsessed with it.... looool.
  21. Blessed to see this thread still going 🙂 Finally allowing myself to plan and get excited. Five years in the making. Lets do this. Edit: Just caught up on the last few pages - am now realizing we were accidentally making shit a lot easier by buying the Coach Package tickets. Just have to make sure we get to the coach in time and everything else is easy.
