9 uk arena shows vs taylor's 13 stadium dates lol
Also completely different price points; Taylor's cheapest tickets were almost The 1975's most expensive (other than what went into platinum for them). Comparing those 2 is ludicrous😂

Totally- just do not know between MSE or MSW
Another one that I think could do either, just got her first solo UK number 1 too - whilst being "cancelled".

Did you walk past when the acts you didn't want to see were on...?
Nah, looking back at the lineup though, last year was pretty weak in there too - probably will explain why it wasn't drawing the crowds, if they booked relevant acts other than Rap/Afro/Urban etc names with just one viral song, I'm sure it'll be busy again like it once used to be.

I was talking about last year, it’s no surprise they didn’t bother this year either
I wouldn’t be surprised whatsoever if that’s one of the proposed stage changes they make, 3 rotating days in there…
Ahhh, last year the acts I saw in there were busy (Leeds though).

The 1xtra was pretty much always empty when we passed in 2022. much like the pit in 2019…
They could focus on 2 days of one extra type stuff and 1 day of heavier if that’s where the cookie now crumbles, (as they did in the far gone days now where they had 2 heavy days and one dance day in there)
It completely depends on the purpose though. The 1xtra tent was originally bought in as ‘urban’ music did not have enough representation and they wanted somewhere were acts could showcase themselves.
This is clearly no longer the case, so has it served its purpose, if the kids no longer care about the randoms playing at 4pm.
What ever it is, it needs to be solid stuff, not sweep ups of who’s left, as ultimately that attracts no one
Tbf, as someone who is into their rap, the 1Xtra lineup this year was ridiculously poor. Some alright names, but nothing compared to what they used to get on there - really weak year, so not surprised it wasn't busy.

The line-up will be
Olivia Rodrigo // Eminem // Blink-182 (subs Aitch, AJ Tracey, Youngblood)
Dua Lipa // Royal Blood // Paramore (subs Wombats, Courteeners, Declan Mckenna)
No way on earth Dua Lipa does MSW. She is MSE or bust.

Royal Blood to sub either Paramore or Green Day.Would swap Post Malone and Paramore around imo.

Any early shouts or predictions?
Would expect some early bird tickets on sale this or next month.

Skrillex and Joy Anonymous there so far, Obongjayar has been spotted abouts, can't imagine Four Tet not showing up. Rumours on the Discord there could be around 7 guests in total.

Well, Cardi B released her big comeback single today…
It debuted at just #70 on Spotify and #138 on Apple Music (both UK), quite a way off WAP charting at #1 a few years ago!
Not keen on it at all, but I think it could be a song to watch, reckon it could be a riser.

If he’s there, Tyler would be MSE
Think he could do either tbh. Not as big over here than in the states.

Tyler was fab at Parklife, left him slightly early to see the end of Bicep - but he put on a great show, and the set list was top tier.

Looks like he can get it up and down in time for consecutive day shows at different arenas at least 4 hours apart, so its possible they could do it for a day at a festival if he demanded it and he wanted it that bad.
Maybe he will just do his own shows in Europe too...There's a chance he has 2 stages, I think he's gonna stick to his own dates tbh, out of the main acts we've been discussing, I have the most doubt for him.
If he did play, think it'd be a heavily altered stage, utilising the main part of the current R&L ones, and then a runway into the crowd - think the stage he's touring America with would logistically not be possible at R&L, and would require the whole main stage set up being changed (overnight) with crowd splits, barriers, possible extra lighting towers etc.
Much easier to just do some arena/stadium shows over here instead; or do what he did with Astro, and reduce the production slightly for festivals.

I just don’t see it happening, he’s renowned for his live shows so can’t imagine he’ll compromise it.
plus his standing tickets are roughly the price of a weekend ticket. 👀For the record, I agree with you. However, for the Astroworld dates, he had multiple different stages and set ups - festival shows, U.S arena dates and The O2 all had different stage designs; so if he was asked and wanted to return to R&L, I'm sure him and his team will have something different planned from the main bulk of arena and stadium dates. Just depends if he mixes festival dates into this tour, like for the Astroworld rollout. Also, wouldn't really compare U.S floor tickets to the UK, floor standing at The O2 last year was £126 for comparison, American ticket pricing is wildly different to over here.

What a fantastic album, only growing on me with every listen. Singles aside, highlights for me are 'teenage dream', 'get him back!' and 'ballad of a homeschooled girl'.

If they haven't got Olivia booked for next year, they've really fumbled it. What a good album, can only imagine how much better it'll sound live.

Yeah, she'd be a very strong MSW headliner, agree with MSE looking more and more likely for her now.
