  1. The National under Mitski? Ty Segall under Iceage The Postal Service under Animal Collective? Sure.
  2. Dude... keep 'em coming. What are you? the only-good-news-teller?
  3. Air is selling out all their European shows in seconds... Crazy! Hope to see 'em at sunset at Primavera
  4. Nick Cave, Taylor Swift, Chemical Brothers Talking Heads, The Postal Service, Portishead Frank Ocean, Pulp, My Bloody Valentine it is then?
  5. + Faye Webster (likely, tour stops day before Primavera) + Richard Hawley (likely, perfect gap in tour) + The Mountain Goats (probable, in the UK week before Prima) + Camera Obscura (probable, UK tour in May) - King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard (ruled out, said no Spain show in the tour) + everything from Wide Awake and Bearded Theory is probable -> Jane's Addiction, Dinosaur Jr, Bodega, Squid, Crumb, Future Islands, Sleaford Mods, Amyl & The Sniffers, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Orbital, Young Fathers, Helena Hauff,...)
  6. Maybe instead of cups with full line ups that you have to collect, every cup at the weekender has a bandname that plays next year. That would be a fun stunt (if it's eco-friendly enough), and I think lots of people would drink more. Also think it would do well on social media.
  7. I just hope The Postal Service will still add a EU-leg to their reunion tour. But it doesn't seem very likely
  8. Changing their socials the day before an headlining act announce a full tour had most to do with the fact we were considering it to be honest.
  9. Full Tool tour on their website now. I think we can rule them out since their in the UK the same weekend as Primavera
  10. Tool confirmed Graspop on their website (as only new announcement)... So it seems they're not announcing a full tour today, so I guess no Tool at Primavera news today
  11. Graspop Metal Meeting just started changing their socials as well... Guess they'll announce Tool tomorrow as well?
  12. At Rock Werchter a couple of years ago they weren't even a stand-alone headliner. They were co-headlining together with The Cure. Primavera isn't Rock Werchter budget-wise. But if they can afford those 2 on the same day...
  13. Is Tool really that more expensive than Blur, The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead, Gorillaz, Miley Cyrus,...?
  14. Last year they changed their socials on the 3rd of October and the day after they announced Depeche Mode. So for huge acts that want to announce their full tour schedule, this idea is not so charlie-crazy as you might think at first. I can see it happening!
  15. There's almost every year atleast one band that you can kind of fit in that box (see list below). But indeed Dropkick Murphys does not fit Primavera at all. Circle Jerks, Iggy Pop, The Distillers, Turbonegro or Misfits would be a good fit if they're touring. 2023: Bad Religion / Unwound 2022: Bikini Kill 2019: Jawbreaker / Stiff Little Fingers 2018: ? 2017: Descendents / The Damned 2016: Drive Like Jehu
  16. Little roundup. All these are around very close to Primavera and I guess atleast 75% is nailed on. The National, Pulp, PJ Harvey Fontaines DC, Sleaford Mods, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Future Islands, Orbital, Mitski, Jane's Addiction, The Mountain Goats, Faye Webster, IceAge, Richard Hawley, The Paper Kites, Night Beats, Bdrrm, Amyl & The Sniffers, Bob Vylan, Waveform*
  17. He also once said that "Hinds weren't his thing and/or he has no intention in bringing them to Primavera". I'm not quoting literally but if I remind correctly, it was something like that. And a year or 2 later they were on (I think) the biggest stage? I also can't imagine every act on every Primavera line up ever, is something he likes. Though he's the "big boss", I guess sometimes things get booked he doesn't care about. Which I think is normal for an event that big.
  18. Fu Manchu and All Them Witches could also appear at Primavera I guess? I would definitely go see them, especially Fu. And wouldn't mind QOTSA being one of the headliners either. They already did Mad Cool last year... And I would personally prefer them over a lot of the headliner-expectations that are thrown around here.
  19. Personally I don't think anything will beat Pavement, The Strokes, Nick Cave, Autechre, Tame Impala, King Gizzard, Gorillaz, Shame, Idles, Black Midi, Beach House, Pond, Parquet Courts, Wet Leg, Dinosaur Jr, Beach Bunny, Black Lips, Fred Again, The National, Warpaint, Beck, Fontaines DC, Porrige Radio, Tropical f**k Storm, Caroline Polachek, Lightning Bolt, Tyler The Cteartor, Diiv, Jawbox, Bauhaus, King Krule,... of Weekend1 in 2022
  20. With Faye Webster, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Mitski and IceAge as the first ones that I guess are pretty much nailed on. I think we're off to a pretty good start!
  21. All rumours combined, this would be it this year then? 23. Belgian speaking here: First of all: don't know if Belgium is that much richer than Spain though. But here, it's not uncommon to do holiday jobs from the age of 16 in shops, restaurants, bars, family business,.... So I guess a big part of the youngsters save what they earn for a big holiday or festival with friends. Don't think that many kids are so spoiled to get a ticket for free from their parents.
  24. Why are The Mars Volta, Porcupine Rree, Lizzo and Incubus out? Could easily be some of the bigger names in the next (last?) batch of names. Or are they announced elsewhere?
