  1. The official aftermovie just arrived, brings a lot of memories for a great weekend. 2024 edition dates are June 13-15
  2. Depends on the definition of nostalgia act - to me, Metallica is bona fide nostalgia act but they are still relevant today, hence they get booked. KOL are imho largely irrelevant and their performance at RiP/RaR this year was a proof. I haven't seen such a lukewarm response for a headliner in ages, everyone just waited for 2 hits...
  3. As Dua and Megan Thee Stallion played Prima, I reckon Paramore can do just fine 😉 I doubt they will be there but I would love it. Their evolution throughout the years is remarkable and Hayley solo is afaik 100% Prima material, their last 3 albums are not so far away from that
  4. Instant buy for me 🙂 Honestly, I don't think Blink will be there, they have R&L written all over them so I expect them touring in August. Dua would be great however I am not sure she would do festivals next year. If there's a new album, pop stars do their own stuff first before coming to a festival circuit. Paramore would be great but I think they are TS sub exclusively. For a pop slot, isn't Stromae a logical choice if he's fit enough? Anyway, I am highly hopeful for Werchter 24, can't wait to come back after skipping this year due to uninspired lineup
  5. I think trio you mentioned (A7X, BMTH, Aero) is quite likely
  6. Great you enjoy it! It's an intersting festival and there are some great aspects (e.g., strong mobile signal, affordable food/drink prices vs. major EU fests, etc.) but none is a strong reason enough to justify the travel for me. Site is a major letdown - I was expecting something like Prima as it's on the beach, but fences/barriers/corpo stands are blocking the view. Anyway, I am glad I did it but most likely not coming back next year. The lineup is quite 'thin', overly focused on strong headliners without much of a substance below them (I love subs though!) and overall feel is quite non-festivalish, perhaps due to a huge number of daily visitors? Day2 vibe was better than Day1 for me though, with a visibly younger crowd. AM were surprisingly good, Girl in Red was great and Lizzo a nice surprise. I am looking forward to Rina, Angel Olsen, QOTSA today. Given the thin lineup, the clash of Tash Sultana and QOTSA is mind-boggling 😕 Enjoy Day3!
  7. My ticket says 'Print or display this page on your mobile phone at the entrance.' so I guess you should be fine. It's my guess based on these instructions though
  8. Enjoy the festival everyone! I am looking forward to 2024, hoping to be there again 😉
  9. Try Ticketswap, there's quite some volume of resale happening there. Thu tix are pretty hard to get as there's a huge demand, Fri ratios are a bit better. Good luck!
  10. Any idea when the tickets will go on sale? I missed this year due to calendar clash but won't repeat the mistake for 2024 edition 🙂
  11. Try Ticketswap, alternatively FB. Many ppl are offering tix in discussions under fest posts already
  12. timetable released: https://rockforpeople.cz/cs/ctvrtek/
  13. Undercards are a mixed bag for me. Subs are imho stronger name-wise this year, however the medium/small bands are weaker, presumably due to lack of bands touring? Anyway, I am sure it's going to be fun this year. Plenty of interesting names to check - Lorna, Sleep Token, @Archiif you are still interested in coming, feel free to dm me. I have an extra room booked in the city as some of my friends are not able to make it.
  14. 15 names added, mostly small ones: Alice Merton / Banji / Ben Cristovao / Cold Years / Demob Happy / Filharmonie Hradec Králové / girli / Kid Brunswick / RedHook / The Warning / Tigress / UPSAHL / The Reytons / InVisions / Cane Hill Still few more to come
  15. I was shocked as well. Line-up is one of the best in ages, including Toten Hosen for locals (DE act sell generally better), but such a move indicates weak sales... Day tickets were usually available a couple of months before the festival, it's a bit strange they are not on sale yet. Price was a bit below 100EUR if I am not mistaken
  16. I don't expect anything big on Thu given 3-day and 1-day tickets are sold out. They also probably spent a lot of money on RHCP. I am happy to be proven wrong though 😉
  17. Whoa, I didn't know Lowlands are such a hot festival. Any ideas why it sells out so quickly vs. Werchter? I always thought Lowlands is kinda R&L Euro version...
  18. Are the Killers ruled out? They are playing PKP and Reading, which makes them a contender for the remaining rock slot. wdyt?
  19. Full day split. Nova Twins are class, Dead Sara is cool and Menzingers is a nice addition. It's shaping up quite nicely!
  20. I am considering giving NOS Alive a try this year - any tips regarding accommodation and how to best get out from the festival site each night? I would prefer to stay in Lisbon downtown, any insights appreciated!
  21. I am quite happy with MGK. I would appreciate something more in Primavera style, but he's got tunes and he's by far the most popular rock/guitar oriented new artist
  22. Gayle's actually quite good live, seen her at R&L last year and she was great 🙂
  23. April/May, if it gets sold out (varies between years). RaR gets usually sells out sooner. RaR vs RiP is easy - RaR is camping only festival, at the race track -> more parties + set times are shifted by ±2hrs, curfew ±3am. - RiP is a city festival, with curfew ±1am (midnight for open air stages) Program is the same, just shifted by days, same as Reading/Leeds or Hurricane/Southside. edit: from the UK, I would say RiP is easier as you have a direct flight (or used to be). RaR requires traveling by car.
  24. The festival area is next to the Exhibition ground and football stadium, with the tube and train station, bus stops and tons of taxis available. You can stay pretty much anywhere in the city, super easy to get around
