Confused how everyone is so confused. They’re almost certainly not next to each other because I highly doubt they said Easy and West because by that standard they’re both the same orientation. They would just say left and right if that were the case.

one will be where the main stage currently is. One will probably be near where the radio one tent was, although probably all more on the flat. Entrances, toilets etc. Will probably be shuffled a bit, but that’s probably the least of their problems.

But then the rush from one side of the arena to the other between headliners would be horrendous and potentially dangerous, surely the best option is side by side no?

I think the whole 2 main stages thing is a way of getting people talking and getting headlines as it sounds better than 3 days of Co headliners. If they were on similar sized outdoor stages at the same times then maybe, but it’s essentially no different to usual. Post malone, disclosure and catfish heading the NME tent wouldn’t look out of place with LG, QOTSA and stormzy actual headliners. Just a clever (?!) way of looking like they’re doing something special for 2021

It is though cause they're taking away Radio 1 and if there's no clashes between main stage chunks that's losing quite a few acts across the weekend

Can’t help but feel like QOTSA are just gonna die on their arses at this. Reading and Leeds just ain’t their festivals anymore.

Agreed, I'm just above the demographic and I don't know anyone who's heard past No One Knows, can't imagine anyone younger listening to them either tbh

NME interview definitely made it sound like rage aren't coming back, "It would have been very special for me to see them again, but the great thing about Reading & Leeds is that it doesn’t stand still. You probably could have picked about 50-100 other acts that would have been more important to everyone else. We’re always happy to have a nod to the past, but we live in today and tomorrow. We never stop moving on."

    Forgot about that 😭

I don't know why but I am starting to convince myself that the Roses may be possible. Would more than make up for the lack of Rage and I would definitely get a day ticket. IIRC the Libertines announcement in 2010 was completely out of the blue, save for a rumour that emerged a couple of days before.

Oh and "something something dark fruits something something white men something something I wish a mainstream pop singer was headlining instead something"

Tbf the email did say bucket hats at the ready 🤷‍♂️
