  1. I don't think it'll sell especially well, but they're an arena band still - well outgrown the traditional academy venue level. Played Ally Pally and Victoria Warehouse. Last year I remember they did Bristol Sounds, South Facing and one of those Millennium Square dates in Leeds. Nobody would book them if they didn't shift tickets.
  2. Weyes Blood are back over playing a date at De La Warr Pavilion on June 24th, so can assume they'll be at Glastonbury this year.
  3. This looks new? Seems like an extra lightweight V-Festival for Chelmsford. https://hideawayfestival.co.uk/
  4. I think artists, agents, fee and their recent sales history dictates that headliner spot. It's just optics really, but I know how much work and constant back-and-forth goes in to those poster positions (a friend has worked for a big festival before). You're spot on on the undercard. It's that gap between the headliners that is what feels bigger than usual. Lots of good names in there, but it's almost exclusively up and coming acts, a lot less established names.
  5. The lineup is a bit "meh" (it's fine, I don't love it), but a lot of this is it's been very hard for festivals to book bands this year. The acts available to book are more limited and expensive than ever - tough job for bookers, I've heard. Some comments I read said they should have put Angel Olsen and Caitlin Rose as headliners above the others on the bill, but unfortunately that's not how it works... Probably needed one or two slightly more off-kilter names in the headliners, but they don't seem the issue to me - the undercard is what feels significantly weaker than normal.

  7. Same. Been every year, so will go again with my cheap ticket, but this lineup feels very....budget and one-note? Really not impressed with much on there. Oneohtrix, The Bug Club and Osees are the only ones I'm really that bothered about. Feels like there's space for a few more names, surely a headliner above Caroline Polachek, but I think I'm been hopeful there....
  8. There's a guide on how to access those here. Basically just need to download the wallet app and then login to your See user account. If you didn't set one up, you can register and import the "old" order you made before with that email. I think!
  9. I'm not too worried. It's always been a festival that didn't really rely on big names/headliners, instead just having a long tail of great acts. Oneohtrix, Osees, Ty Segall and The Bug Club are great for me. It does seem a little weaker than previous years, but I imagine there's a decent amount left to announce still.
  10. Yeah, got a few UK dates too that I think went on sale in September.
  11. That's a big of a lowkey cracking lineup. Not been before, is there likely to be a decent chunk added? TCIC, The Delgados, Dream Wife, Steam Down, Rozi Plain, Holiday Ghosts, WRNTDP - all ace.
  12. Still some cheap(er) tickets on See Tickets here. Oneohtrix Point Never is an interesting booking. He's great live, but outdoors with the sound issues WA have....Looking forward to it anyway!
  13. Never understood why nobody gets this? Amazon would crash with that level of demand, and I doubt anyone would pay to have their website take that much traffic for one day a year.
  14. You'd think Parquet Courts could be in with a shout at some point, but I think they did a UK tour earlier this year, so might be too soon.
  15. They were never really my kind of thing, but Used For Glue was an absolute banger.
  16. Got mine too. I thought it was easier/quick as well. I noticed the ticket company they use seems to have changed this year, so maybe that made a difference- See Tickets do Glastonbury after all (not that that's necessarily a ringing endorsement of the system!).
  17. Sales are way down across most festivals, so terrible time to be launching a new one. Imagine this cost them a lot of money to get to this stage, so sad to hear. Don't think they'll be the only ones, and imagine a few might take a year off for 2023 before seeing how the market looks.
  18. Well, that's gone bust already. Anyone had any emails from the ticket company about refunds? https://www.wideskiesfestival.co.uk/ "It is with deep regret that we announce that Wide Skies & Butterflies will no longer be able to go ahead. Despite the anticipation of a summer free of restrictions, 2022 is proving an incredibly challenging year for live music and events. The industry has seen an unprecedented rise in the costs of production alongside lower than expected ticket sales due to rising costs of living. For a festival in its first year the combination of these obstacles, as well as a key investment failing to come through, has made it impossible for us to go ahead. We would like to thank everyone for their support, including all the artists, our partners, suppliers, and local businesses, and in particular the Raynham Estate for giving us this opportunity, we are sad not to have been able to go ahead in such a fantastic location. SMS Event Production Ltd has ceased to trade and everyone, including all ticket holders, will be contacted directly in due course."
  19. Think the weekend early birds were £75? But more like £85 each with the booking fees.
  20. If anyone has a £5 code, I'd love one! Thanks in advance.
  21. Had a mate who went who said it was great. I got the impression the food and other offerings were good quality and had a bougie, but not too bougie feel (not entirely sure I believe him). Music lineup felt like a nice bonus on top of all the other stuff.
  22. If you want to go to the Delegate/Conferences, do you need to buy a Festival Ticket as well?
  23. A few cops with dogs, but it all seemed quite relaxed.
  24. As mentioned above, one big outdoor stage, one mid-size outdoor stage. A big tent and a small tent, then a VIP area, which from my brief time in there was a bit of a waste of space. One or two rides for folks to enjoy. Were plenty of food and craft beer options, as well as the standard fare. Prices were to be expected, but I don't think eye-wateringly so. The weather was spot on, so that helped, but was a good vibe and a decent crowd. Queues were fine all round - toilets and for food and drink. The craft beer queues were longer than the main bar selling Red Stripe, which you could mostly just get to the front of instantly. Ground around the bogs got a bit depressingly wet later on in the evening, so you were walking in boggy piss water if you weren't careful. They seemed to have ample of portaloos though. I'd say it was about 70% full last year? Certainly a fair way off sold out.
