  1. Just realised about the possible traffic issues getting to and from site.  We're coming from up norf and at first glance jumping off the M6 at J16 then A500 to Stoke, A50 then Burton upon Trent looks favourite.  Can anyone confirm if that's an ok route to avoid the worst of it?

Yea I’ve been thinking the same. I had a flurry of wins when it first started but not much since. It says in the T&C’s there’s a mop up draw for unclaimed prizes after the competition closes. So one good thing is all our losing cans will still be entered into a potential mop up draw for prizes/tickets 🤞🍀

There's no detail on this mop up draw might work though

Similar here, no winning moment at 9 his morning, or 10:45 last night, 7 yesterday morning. Or 14 out of the previous 15 attempts (did win a case of cider with one of them).

    Loving your dedication 😘

  4. This winning moments thing makes sense tbh.  Brothers obviously want to keep the competition running as long as possible before the end of April and they won't want winning cans being drank and discarded without entering so controlling it on the server is the way to go.

All I can add is that last Friday about 7:30pm and last night about about 7pm and 9pm were not winning moments.

the experience at Green Man last year created a big contrast (no crowding problems and even a full Far Out tent gives you decent views from everywhere).

Could that be because of the video screens though?  Meaning that not everyone has to venture down the front to get a decent view, so less crowding in the venue.  That's one thing that I would like to see all festivals do if they could afford it.

Far Out always becomes pinch point central after Sunday midday because of the cordon around the Green Man, I forgot last year otherwise I would have chosen where to land a bit better.

I've missed shows in Tipi and Big Top because they were full but never been stopped entering a venue at Green Man so I'm inclined to agree with you in respect of Tipi and Big Top.

Do we have any idea when the announcement will be this week?  Thursday?

I wasn't overly impressed with the initial line-up but the closer it gets, the more I'm looking forward to it.  Still hoping for The Cribs to pop up, wouldn't mind Fat White Family either.

I'm convinced I heard or read that FWF are confirmed but can't find anything with a search online.  I'll have to confirm with the partner in crime but I'm sure I told her about it, mainly because she really doesn't like them.  Unless I dreamt it all.😕

I doubt anyone would be willing to admit to it. Why risk losing a ticket, even with anonymity on here.

People might have had theirs bought through the method and not even know (just someone in their group got "lucky" and through multiple times)

I doubt there's much risk admitting it on here - See server logs will show if people did get tickets on a non-glastonbury server

Tickets will cost £355 + £5 booking fee, of which a £75 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a ticket + coach travel option) is payable when booking in November

Sorry about being thick here but does that mean the deposit this evening will be £75 or £75 and the coach fare?

Worth mentioning that on current versions of Windows, you will need to run whatever editor you use as administrator to be able to write any changes.

  10. I'm going to try for coach tickets for my daughter and her mates.  I just read that you need to choose your arrival day before you join the queue.  If they can arrive on either day, I'm thinking it would be better for half the group to choose Wednesday and half Thursday to maximise their chances.  Is that right?

Underpinning bluedot’s mission is a sincere love and respect for the earth and environment we are lucky to be part of. However, at bluedot this July, that earth itself took a lot of strain. Experiencing the highest level of rainfall on the festival weekend since records began (records courtesy of Jodrell Bank’s own weather station!) we have patiently waited to see what the effects of this have been on the land itself. We have now sadly reached the judgement that the ground on which the bluedot universe is built desperately needs some time to recover; a period of rest during which the soil will recover and regenerate. We are, as Carl Sagan put it, in very bad trouble if we don’t understand the planet we’re trying to save.

We have therefore taken the decision for bluedot to have a fallow year in 2024.
We had grand ambitions for our 2024 edition, but are nonetheless excited for the future, buoyed by the Artemis mission to take humanity back to the moon for the first time in 56 years. We cannot wait to join in the excitement with you.
We would like to share a heartfelt thank you to our home of Jodrell Bank, the local community and Cheshire East Council, the artists, speakers and all festival staff for their support since day one, and especially in the most challenging moments of bluedot 2023.

Ground recovery or financial problems?  They must have lost money this year with the weather.

Anyone got any recommendations of their favourite walks that you can either do from site or within a short drive?

There's a nice walk along the canal at top of Llangattock

Any tips regarding arrival on Thursday morning? I’ll be driving up from M4, would like to get in as early as possible - I see car parks open at 10am.

Last year we camped over nearby on the Wednesday and think we got to the campervan field not long after 8am and we were just waved in. Main carpark might be different of course.
