  1. She'd be ideal for a late afternoon/early evening Pyramid slot imo.
  2. I've said it before but if there's no hip hop headlining the Pyramid then I bet there'll be some hip hop headlining the Other. Would be pretty mad to go from Kendrick and Megan Thee Stallion as options this year to nothing on the top two next year.
  3. With multiple lineup changes and deaths within the band. Very different scenario.
  4. I don't think the thought of The 1975 subbing the Pyramid/headlining the Other is completely ridiculous, but I'm inclined to agree that them headlining the Pyramid is way way more likely and if they're not doing that then I just don't think they're playing at all.
  5. Obviously they've both still got mainstream appeal/success, but they're hardly fresh acts at all. AM's debut will be 17 years old in 2023 - it's release is closer to Depeche Mode's Violator than the 2023 festival! I could see two of AM/Adele/Swift, with a third being a more contemporary act. Would be a similar trio to 2016.
  6. Taylor has been around longer than Adele so that is still old. The 1975 / Arctic Monkeys / Taylor Swift or Adele makes it look a lot more fresh.
  7. Yeah AM seem to have the most credible rumours. The only acts that we've had 'info' about are The 1975, Arctic Monkeys and Adele, right? Adele would be an odd booking for next year imo. All for her to return at some point, but 2023 seems a bit soon considering she's only released one album since she last headlined.
  8. Don’t they demand a pretty hefty fee, despite their ethos?
  9. Wouldn't Glastonbury 2023 be looking a bit too R+L 2022 if they've got Arctic Monkeys and Rage?
  10. Well you could say the same about Kasabian then.
  11. Could say the same about Stormzy.
  12. Feel like you're both lowballing her a bit. Her debut was a huge success, think she's be high other or mid pyramid tbh.
  13. Oh Wonder on the Pyramid would be really weird. Rosalia ain’t playing The Park either, she’d get a bigger slot. Aitch is not the right kinda act for the WH. Few other things I don’t really agree with but they’re the three glaringly obvious ones to me.
  14. Glass Animals went from playing 5th Other in 2017 to 4th Other this year. Hardly flew up the lineup.
  15. I've put her high on The Park in my prediction for this very reason.
  16. 2015 was originally meant to be Foos, Kanye and Prince so that would have been 3 newbies as well, but yeah there does generally tend to be a returning headliner most years.
  17. Ivy, Pink + White and Nights are all gold as well though without being released as singles. There's really not much in it honestly. I know when Blonde was released it was considered quite obtuse in comparison to Channel Orange, but it's stood the test of time incredibly well and is just as popular as his debut. I agree that Thinkin Bout you and Lost are his two biggest songs, but then the rest of his top 5 are definitely from Blonde and they're massive massive songs.
  18. Look at the streaming numbers. Pretty much like for like. Both albums are UK platinum according to wikipedia.
  19. Blonde was just as big as Channel Orange.
  20. Big cult following. Think he'd only want to headline, but don't think Glastonbury will have him as a top choice at all so it's probably not going to happen. Not in the next few years, anyway.

  22. I think my problem was that I’d already decided I was seeing Macca and Diana Ross before the set times were out. I almost didn’t really take note of who else was playing against them because I knew I was going to see them both. Then one day I realised how much fun I could have if I stayed at the Park on Saturday night, and I think while I was at the festival and had a good feel for the place it dawned on me that Caroline Polachek would be more enjoyable, but I stuck to my plan. Like you say, I’ll know better for next time now!
  23. Nothing major but I’ve got a couple. 1. Should have stayed at The Park after Big Thief for The Avalanches and Mitski and then watched the end of Macca from the back. One of my groups absolute idol is Macca so we ended up getting really close with her in the crowd movement between Noel and Macca, but I know I’d have had more fun staying at the Park. I ended up leaving Macca anyway as I couldn’t face sobering up at the front for over 2 hours. 2. Should have gone to see Caroline Polachek instead of Diana Ross. I think because it was my first Glasto I felt obliged to go to the legends slot (and Tbf I loved the idea of seeing Diana Ross), but it was obnoxiously busy and I’d have had much more fun at the Park.
